Pork overload
Jacob Elordi's slim physique doesn't exactly scream "Elvis Presley, the Later Years." But that didn't stop him from trying to pack on the pounds after he was cast as Elvis in Sofia Coppola's "Priscilla," which focuses on Elvis and Priscilla Presley's relationship through 1973. "It was the first time in my life that I ever had a gut," Jacob, 26, tells GQ in the magazine's 2023 Men of the Year issue. His secret weapon?
"Bacon. It was about a pound of bacon every day," he says of the 2022 shoot. "And then when I'd go to Canada [to film 'Priscilla'], it was poutine and hamburgers," Jacob recalls of his Toronto set diet. (The classic Canadian dish poutine features fries topped with cheese curds and swimming in gravy.) "It's really my pleasure," he admits. "I could order Uber Eats and be like, 'Should I get that burger after I've just had Italian? Yeah. Yeah, I will.'"
Fast forward to 2023, though, and the "Euphoria" star's already knocked off the weight and then some. "I've lost a decent amount of weight to play a prisoner of war," Jacob told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" in October. "So I'm a little bit concerned," he joked, "… because I think I look like – I've seen a few photos on the internet of me as Slender Man."

Relationship update
Brad Pitt's romance with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon is reportedly getting more serious. The Oscar winner has kept his personal life out of the spotlight as much as possible since his split from Angelina Jolie. But one year into his relationship with Ines, a source tells People Brad now "introduces [Ines] as his girlfriend" and the two are "in a good place."
Brad, 59, was first linked to the 33-year-old artist last fall, when they were photographed together backstage at a Bono concert in Los Angeles. A few weeks later, People reported they spent Brad's birthday together. A trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, over the holidays reportedly followed.
"This is Brad's first proper relationship since the divorce," says People's source. "It's great to see him in a good place. Ines makes him very happy."
The actor and producer's marriage to Angelina Jolie ended in 2016, when she filed for divorce. The stars were embroiled in a long and at times ugly custody battle over their six children after they split. The winery Brad and Angelina bought together in France in 2011 has also sparked subsequent legal battles between the two.
Bidding war
Britney Spears' bestselling memoir, "The Woman In Me," sold more than one million copies in its first week, according to Forbes. Now, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes and "Barbie" star Margot Robbie are reportedly vying for a chance to cash in on that popularity by bringing a big-screen version to a theater near you.
The Ankler reports those stars (and others) are engaged in a bidding war through their production companies over rights to option Brit's memoir for film or TV — and the price tag that could be as high as $4 million. Rights to a documentary based on the book, meanwhile, could go for as much as $40 million if Britney agrees to participate, insiders tell the outlet.
Whether Britney's interested in selling remains to be seen. According to The Ankler, the singer's already "overwhelmed by the response" to her book and may need to "catch her breath" before launching a new project.
The Woman In Me" covers everything from the star's famed romance with Justin Timberlake (and the secret abortion she says he encouraged her to have) to her controversy-sparking conservatorship.
Life after 35
At 41, Anne Hathaway is six years past her acting career's supposed expiration date — with two new films out this fall. "When I started out as a child, I was warned that my career would fall off a cliff at the age of 35, which is something I know a lot of women face," the Oscar winner recently told Porter magazine. "The thing that has evolved during [that time] is that more women are having careers deeper into their lives, which I think is fantastic," she continued.
While Hollywood's become more inclusive in recent years, Anne cautioned, "it doesn't mean we should have a ticker tape parade" to celebrate every improvement. "Someone said this to me the other day," she added. "'There's so much to be proud of and there's so much to fix.'"
Still, Anne's clearly willing to stick it out through Hollywood's ongoing challenges if it means she can continue to act. "It is such a sweet feeling to know that you're kind of woven into someone's life," she explained. "I can't describe the honor of knowing that I'm involved in the moments where people need comfort."
The star's new psychodrama "Eileen" is out Dec. 1; her rom-com "She Came To Me" hit theaters in October.
Book giveaway
Pink reads banned books — and she wants her fans to do the same. On Nov. 13, the singer announced she'll be giving away 2,000 new copies of banned titles at her Trustfall tour shows this week in Miami and Sunrise, Florida. The move is part of a collaboration with PEN America, a free expression-focused nonprofit devoted to defending writers, artists, and journalists.
Pink, who shares two children with husband Carey Hart, said in a statement that she's "unwilling to stand by and watch while books are banned by schools," particularly when the targeted works are "about race and racism" or written by marginalized groups including LGBTQ authors and people of color. "We have made so many strides toward equality in this country and no one should want to see this progress reversed," she added.
According to a new report from PEN America, the 2022-23 school year saw book bans increase in schools across the country by 33 percent. A whopping 40 percent of those new book bans took place in Florida, where new legislation like 2022's Individual Freedom Act and the so-called "Don't Say Gay Bill" restrict freedom of speech in schools around issues of racism and sexuality.
The frequently banned titles Pink opted to give away include "Beloved," by Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison; "The Hill We Climb" by former National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman; and Todd Parr's "The Family Book," which "celebrates the love we feel for our families and all the different varieties they come in," according to a blurb. The fourth book reportedly comes from the series published by Girls Who Code, a nonprofit that works to grow the number of women in computer science.
