Elon Musk is sounding off on his 19-year-old transgender daughter, calling her a "communist" whose thoughts were altered by her "woke" education.
On Aug. 31, the Wall Street Journal published excerpts from the Tesla founder's upcoming biography in which he touches on his rise to wealth and his career.
And his most scathing comments were actually about his daughter.

In the upcoming biography, author Walter Isaacson writes that Elon Musk's rift with his trans daughter "pained him more than anything in his life since the infant death of his firstborn child Nevada." According to Elon Musk, his trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, "went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that anyone rich is evil." Vivian's education at the ritzy Crossroads school in Santa Monica, California, is somewhat to blame, Elon says.
In fact, author Walter Isaacson believes Elon's rift with his daughter plays a major role in his war against "woke" culture and is part of the reason why he purchased Twitter, now X, last year.

In the summer of 2022, Elon Musk's then-18-year-old daughter publicly announced that she's transgender and was ditching her notorious last name in an effort to distance herself from her famous father.
Similar to his comments now, Elon said at the time that Vivian Jenna Wilson was influenced by "neo-Marxists" at educational institutions. "It's full-on communism and a general sentiment that if you're rich, you're evil," he told the Financial Times of his eldest child.
While Elon admitted that things between himself and his daughter need repairing, he believes their relationship "may change" in the future. "I have very good relationships with all [my other kids]. Can't win them all," he said.
At the time, Elon had six living children. He's since welcomed three more.

The biography notes that Vivian Jenna Wilson privately announced that she was trans in 2020 or 2021 at the age of 16. Interestingly, Elon Musk tweeted about the transgender community back in 2020, writing, "I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare. Pronouns suck."
Vivian's first known private statement about her gender identity came via a text to her aunt — Elon's brother's wife: "Hey, I'm transgender, and my name is now Jenna … Don't tell my dad," she allegedly wrote.
