Darius Rucker was arrested on a minor drug offense in Tennessee on Feb. 1, 2024. The former Hootie & the Blowfish singer-turned-country star was booked on two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state's vehicle registration law — all misdemeanors. Hardly a hardened criminal, Darius was released from jail about an hour later after posting a $10,500 bond.
"Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges," his attorney told TMZ.
The singer's ex, comedian Kate Quigley, took to social media to publicly celebrate his arrest: "Yes. I've heard. All I can say is Karma," she wrote on X on Feb. 1.
On Instagram, she captioned a photo of herself in a bikini, "Mood: when u hear your d-b** ex got arrested…"
Kate and Darius have had bad blood since 2021 when she nearly died after overdosing on fentanyl-laced cocaine. (Three of her friends and fellow comedians overdosed and died the night she nearly lost her life.) In the wake of the tragedy, Darius's team released a statement noting that he and Kate were no longer an item.
Two weeks later, Darius told People magazine of his ex, "You know, she's doing great. She's coming out of that. I'm glad that she's doing that. … My heart goes out to all the other victims, but [she] is doing okay."
Kate didn't take too kindly to Darius's comments: "Hi Darius, Could u plz refrain from making public comments about my health or well-being since u haven't called once to see how i'm doing and have no clue?" she wrote on X at the time.

Former Disney Channel star Mitchel Musso was arrested in Rockwall, Texas, on Aug. 26, 2023.
According to TMZ, the singer-actor — who played Oliver Oken on "Hannah Montana," Jeremy Johnson on the animated series "Phineas and Ferb" and King Brady on "Pair of Kings" and hosted the network's "PrankStars" show — was taken to a local jail where he posed for this booking photo.
Jail records show the 5-foot-8, 150-pound star — who posted bail — was facing multiple charges following an incident at a hotel. (Records indicated his bail was set at $1,000 and that he was facing fines totaling a little more than $2,000 for multiple violations.)
Officers responded to a call from someone alleging that a person "who appeared intoxicated" came into the hotel, took a bag of chips and began to eat them before leaving without paying for the snack, the Dallas Morning News reported. TMZ further reported that Mitchel was allegedly acting belligerent and became verbally abusive to staff. When police officers encountered him outside the hotel, they noticed signs of intoxication and arrested him.
After his arrest, Mitchel insisted he was innocent, telling Entertainment Weekly, "I was absolutely not drunk or drinking, and there was 100% no theft," adding, "It's unfortunate, it's a misunderstanding."
Nearly three months later, a rep for the city of Rockwall confirmed to TMZ that Mitchel's public drunkenness and theft case was dismissed. No reason was given and the webloid was told that bodycam footage and further information would not be publicly released because the case didn't end with a conviction or deferred adjudication.

Georgia's Fulton County Sheriff's Office released this mug shot of former President Donald Trump on Aug. 24, 2023, after he was booked in Atlanta's Fulton County Jail in his fourth criminal arrest of 2023 — this time in a racketeering case in which he's been accused of conspiring to reverse his 2020 election loss in Georgia.
His booking was swift: According to reports, it only took 20 minutes before he'd left for the Atlanta airport where he briefly spoke to reporters on the tarmac, telling them the charges are a "travesty of justice." He also insisted "we have every right to challenge an election we think is dishonest."
He was listed in the Fulton County booking system as having "blonde or strawberry" hair, standing 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds. (According to The New York Times, that's 24 pounds less than the White House doctor reported he weighed in 2018.) Those figures, media outlets confirmed, were self-reported.
The former POTUS's bond was set at $200,000.

Rudy — who in the '80s served as U.S. associate attorney general as well as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York — made comments to the media before his booking photo was taken upon his surrender. "I'll get photographed, isn't that nice? A mugshot," he said, "[of] the man who probably put the worst criminals of the 20th century in jail."

The charges are related to an alleged incident that took place at Aspens Restaurant & Lounge in Overland Park, Kansas, in February 2023: Jackson was accused of assaulting Aspen Vaughn, the eatery's owner, by forcibly kissing her, and also of shoving a waiter, local TV news station KCTV5 reported. TMZ posted video from the alleged incident. In March 2023, Jackson's attorney denied the claims, telling KCTV5 in a statement, "We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson. Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to a swift resolution of the matter."

In April 2023, "Teen Mom OG" alum Ryan Edwards — the ex-fiancé of Maci Bookout and the husband of Mackenzie Standifer, who filed to divorce him in 2023 — was sentenced to nearly a year in prison on harassment charges, Tennessee's Hamilton County Court confirmed. "That's So Raven" alum Orlando Brown was arrested in Lima, Ohio, on Dec. 22, 2022, on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge and taken to the Allen County Jail. TMZ reported that police responded after getting "a call about a fight in progress." According to police, TMZ further reported, the troubled former Disney star's brother Matthew claimed that he was letting Orlando stay at a home he was renovating because Orlando was homeless and he didn't want his sibling to go to a shelter. The webloid reported that Matthew told cops Orlando was acting "crazy" inside the property — he allegedly accused him of sexually assaulting his wife then went after Matthew with a broken-off knife blade and hammer, though he eventually put the weapons down. On Aug. 10, 2022, OnlyFans model Courtney Tailor (real name: Courtney Clenney) was arrested in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii, and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service on a Miami-Dade County, Florida, warrant and charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in the April 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Toby Obumseli. At a press conference, Miami State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle described the social media model's relationship with Christian as "extremely tempestuous and combative" and said there had been "multiple incidents of domestic violence from both sides" during their romance, including one that saw Courtney changed with domestic violence against Christian in a Las Vegas hotel in July 2021, CBS News reported. Prosecutors say Courtney told police she ran to the kitchen of their luxury Miami apartment, got a knife and threw it at her boyfriend from about 10 feet away after he grabbed her by the throat and shoved her against a wall, but the medical examiner believes the three-inch-deep stab wound to the chest that killed Christian was much more consistent with a "downward strike." On Sept. 7 — after being extradited from Hawaii to Florida — Courtney, who's pleaded not guilty, appeared in an orange jumpsuit at a hearing in Miami where prosecutors presented the evidence they plan to submit at trial. A judge denied her attorney's motion to limit what will be shared, CBS Miami reported.
