If you remember the era of boy bands fondly, you might find this next bit of news shocking: Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block celebrates his 51st birthday on Jan. 31, 2023. In honor of his big day, Wonderwall.com is rounding up all the other boy banders now in their 50s too! First up is the birthday boy…
Joey McIntyre embraced the big 5-0 in 2022. The New Kids on the Block singer was the youngest member of the wildly successful group that first found fame in the '80s and '90s.
Though he still dabbles in music — he most recently put out a single with fellow '80s phenom Debbie Gibson in 2021, a move that corresponded with a brief Las Vegas residency, and in 2024 will once again tour with NKOTB — he's largely moved on to acting, most often on Broadway. He appeared in "Waitress" in 2019 and in the New Jersey-based musical "The Wanderer" in 2022. The former boy bander also had a podcast, "The Move with Joey McIntyre," from 2017 until 2018.
He married former real estate agent Barrett Williams — with whom he shares three children: sons Griffin and Rhys and daughter Kira — in 2003.

These days, younger audiences might associate Nick Lachey with his hosting duties on Netflix's "Love is Blind" rather than his pop music days, but the OGs know Nick as the lead singer of 98 Degrees. The boy bander turned 50 in November 2023.
The group, which rose to fame during the era of *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys but was always unfairly in the mega-groups' shadows, put out hits like "The Hardest Thing," "Because of You," and "I Do (Cherish You)" over the years. The group continues to tour today after going on hiatus for more than a decade and most recently released music in 2021.
Nick made headlines as one-half of one of the most famous celebrity couples of the '00s as well when he and first wife Jessica Simpson starred on MTV's "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" from 2003 to 2005. Today, he appears on a different kind of reality series with his second wife: He's been married to former MTV VJ Vanessa Lachey (née Minnillo), with whom he co-hosts "Love is Blind," since 2011. The couple share three children.

Kevin Richardson — the oldest member of the Backstreet Boys — turned 50 in 2021. Though he temporarily left the band in 2006, he returned in 2012 and still tours with BSB to this day. The group wrapped up a world tour in South Africa in 2023 and are reportedly in talks to release a new album in 2024.
The singer has been married to former model Kristin Kay Willits since 2000. They share two sons, Mason and Maxwell.

Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman joined the 50s club in 2022. The singer from the mega-popular '90s group still performs with his bandmates to this day, with the now-trio most recently teaming up to sing the national anthem at the Fiesta Bowl in 2022.
Off stage, he's been married to Sharonda Jones since 2001.

Another New Kids on the Block member over 50? Jordan Knight, who celebrated the big birthday in 2020 – 36 years after his boy band originally formed. NKOTB continues to perform occasionally — he's seen here in Atlanta in 2022 singing with the group, who will tour outdoor venues in 2024 — and even teamed up with fellow boy band the Backstreet Boys to form NKOTBSB from 2010 until 2012.
Jordan's been married to Evelyn Melendez, with whom he shares sons Eric and Dante, since 2004.

New Kids on the Block singer Jonathan Knight — who's bandmate Jordan Knight's older brother — has the distinction of being the oldest boy bander on this list. He turned 50 in 2018, but he hasn't let that slow him down: He'll next tour with NKOTB in 2024. (He's seen here on stage with his group in 2022.)
Jonathan, who came out as gay in 2009, has been with partner Harley Rodriguez since 2008; they married in 2022. The couple competed on "The Amazing Race" together in 2015.

*NSYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick turned 50 in 2021, making him the most senior member of the '90s and '00s group that stopped performing together in 2002 as Justin Timberlake launched a solo career. They performed together for a one-off medley at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards when JT was honored with the Video Vanguard Award; a decade later at the 2023 VMAs, they reunited again to present an award then released a new *NSYNC song, "Better Together," which features in Justin's movie 'Trolls Band Together." Rumors that even more new music is on the horizon have been swirling ever since.
As for life outside the band, Chris married Karlyn M. Skladany in 2013 and welcomed a son, Nash, in 2017.

Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough turned 50 in 2023. His group has been keeping very busy — they completed a world tour in South Africa in May 2023 — and he's busy off the stage and out of the studio as well running a Florida real estate development company with his brother.
Howie's been married to Leigh Anne Boniello since 2007; the couple share two sons, James and Holden.

Danny Wood is the second oldest boy bander on this list! The New Kids on the Block singer, who turned 50 in 2019, continues to take to the stage with NKOTB — he's seen here in Sacramento, California, in June 2022 — and next will join his bandmates on tour in 2024.
Danny was married to Patricia Alfaro, with whom he shares son Daniel Jr. and daughters Chance and Vega, from 1997 until 2006.

Another newly minted 50 year old in 2023? Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men! The talented musician rose to fame with the '90s group that still performs today — he's pictured here during a tour stop in Detroit in September 2023.
While his work life remains steady and uncomplicated, his personal life is a little messier. Wanya married to Traci Nash — with whom he shares six children — in 2002. But in 2019, he married Amber Reyes, despite not yet being legally divorced from Traci.

Justin Jeffre of 98 Degrees turned 50 in 2023, just like bandmates Nick Lachey and Jeff Timmons. The boy bander has been busy performing with his group on and off over the years, but when it comes to his personal life, not much is known about this mysterious singer.

In 2021, Nathan Morris joined the 50s club. The Boyz II Men member, who continues to perform and tour with his group — seen here at a tour stop in Detroit in September 2023 — has been married to Toyanna Morris for years.
_
Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees turned 50 in 2023, but age is just a number to this singer, who's still performing with his old group.
While co-hosting an event for New Kids on the Block star Jordan Knight, Jeff met Amanda Timmons, who became his wife in 2011. He has one child with Amanda and two kids from his previous marriage to Trisha Sperry.

Donnie Wahlberg, who turned 50 in 2019, continues to perform with New Kids on the Block. The singer — who will next tour with NKOTB in 2024 — has also worked as an actor over the years, appearing in a few films in the "Saw" franchise as well as on TV's "Blue Bloods" since 2010. He also appeared on the reality show "Wahlburgers," which chronicled his famous family's work at their restaurant chain.
Donnie was married to Kimberly Fey, with whom he shares sons Xavier and Elijah, from 1999 to 2008. Since 2014, he's been married to actress-host Jenny McCarthy.
