Jennifer Lopez says a marriage proposal should be 'sacred, intimate'
In "Marry Me," Jennifer Lopez plays a pop star who accepts a marriage proposal onstage from a fan after discovering her fiance's been unfaithful. But in real life, J.Lo's not sure someone popping the question so publicly would be ideal. During a chat about her new film on the "Heart FM" radio show on Feb. 15, the singer-actress — who's had boyfriend Ben Affleck by her side throughout much of her recent press tour — said, "I love public displays of romance," according to the Daily Mail. "I don't know that I would love a [public] proposal. I think that that's a more intimate thing between two people, but I have no problem with PDA. I'm actually all about it if you really feel it," she clarified. "But I do think a proposal is kind of an intimate, sacred thing that should just be between two people," she added. "When you're about to pledge your lives to each other that's a big deal." Jen, 52, was engaged to Ben, 49, before they ended their first romance in 2004. She went on to marry Marc Anthony while Ben and Jennifer Garner tied the knot before both couples split and Bennifer rekindled their romance last spring.

There's no bad blood between Sarah Jessica Parker and John Corbett, despite his fakeout about returning for the "Sex and the City" reboot. In 2021, John Corbett told Page Six he would be back on "And Just Like That …," presumably to reprise his role as Carrie's Mr. Almost Right, Aidan. HBO Max's reboot recently aired its last episode for Season 1, however, and John never appeared on one episode, let alone "quite as few," as he'd previously teased. "It was fun for him to say that," Sarah Jessica told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" on Feb. 14. "He actually reached out very kindly — because he's nothing if not a gentleman — and apologized for doing that as a joke," she recalled. "And then I was like, 'No, no, no, I mean, it's a free country, first of all, and second of all, I thought it was kind of delightful and fun.'" It also sounds like the door could be open for him to return, should "And Just Like That …" be renewed for a second season. After seeming to stop herself from saying too much, SJP said, "I mean, yes, all of it is possible. All of it is possible."

Alec Baldwin named in wrongful death suit after fatal 'Rust' shooting
The family of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Feb. 15 against Alec Baldwin, along with producers and crew members involved with the production of "Rust," the film they were working on in October, when a gun in Alec's hands discharged, killing Halyna and injuring director Joel Souza. The update came via a press conference in Los Angeles at which attorney Brian Panish said the defendants were "responsible for the safety on the set" where Halyna was fatally shot in New Mexico, according to ET. He claimed it was their "reckless behavior in cost cutting" that led to the 42-year-old's death. Lawyers for Halyna's estate asserted Alec and the others involved "disregarded at least 15 industry standards" for safety on the set. NBC News reports the Santa Fe Sheriff's office determined through search warrants that the movie's armorer, Hannah Reed Gutierrez, put what she thought were dummy rounds in the Colt .45 she then gave to assistant director Dave Halls. Dave proceeded to announce the gun was "cold," or loaded with dummies, as he gave it to Alec, who was reportedly holding the weapon when it went off, shooting a real bullet in Halyna and Joel's direction. According to TMZ, the suit says Alec failed to check the gun to make sure it did not contain real ammunition. It also claims he "released the hammer" of the gun, thereby firing it after his and others' safety lapses. "The gun cannot fire unless the trigger is engaged and the hammer is back," a lawyer for the family said at the press conference, TMZ reported. Estate attorney Randi McGinn told NBC she "expected the case would get to trial within a year and a half to two years." She added, "You don't hand somebody a gun until you give them safety training … No one should ever die with a real gun on a make-believe movie set." Per ET, the lawsuit "is supported by Halyna's husband, Matthew Hutchins," and their 9-year-old son, Aldous. In an interview with ABC in December, Alec said he didn't believe he was responsible for Halyna's death. "Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property," he said at the time. "Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but I know it's not me."

New mom Naomi Campbell, 51, reveals daughter 'wasn't adopted'
Last May, Naomi Campbell surprised fans — and apparently, even her friends — with news she'd welcomed her first child, a baby girl. The supermodel, 51, has yet to reveal her daughter's name, but the 9-month-old joins her mom on the cover of British Vogue's March 2022 edition. "She wasn't adopted – she's my child," Naomi confirms at one point in the cover story, sharing the first details she's made public regarding her path to motherhood. "I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It's the best thing I've ever done," Naomi says. She goes on to share how welcoming a child has intensified her commitment to social justice work and her advocacy for increased diversity in the fashion world. "I support Black Lives Matter and I support anything for positive change, but I've been saying this longer than these things have been around – this isn't new for me," she adds. As for motherhood, Naomi calls the experience "the biggest joy I could ever imagine" and acknowledges she's "lucky" to have her little girl, marveling at one point in the interview, "Everything I do, I do for her – that's it. It's so completely selfless, isn't it?" So would she recommend becoming a mom later in life to friends? "I'm telling them all, do it!" she says. "Don't hesitate!"

Seth Rogen hilariously rehashes worst date ever
If there's one thing Seth Rogen learned from his dating experiences, it's not to ask serious relationship questions until the end of a dinner date — at least, not if you want to enjoy your meal. The "Pam & Tommy" star, 39, stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Valentine's Day, where Jimmy asked if Seth had dated much before he married his wife, Lauren Miller. "I was terrible, I was a bad dater," Seth admitted. "I had terrible experiences dating women and I think the women who dated me also did not have the best experiences," he joked. One date, in particular, stood out for Seth as having been memorably bad. It seems that at some point in his 20s, he went out to eat on his birthday with someone he was seeing. He decided to ask if she'd become his girlfriend, rather than just a casual relationship. "I asked her around when the appetizers were arriving and she said no," Seth explained. "And then I started crying. I was like, 'We need to eat, like we can't leave.' She was like, 'It's your birthday!'" They apparently stayed, but things never looked up. "I had to sit there and this poor woman had to sit there with me as I wept into my truffle mac and cheese," Seth added. He ended up tying the knot with Lauren in 2011.

On Feb. 15, the Academy announced comics Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will host the 2022 Oscars on March 27 — and Regina wasted no time cracking a joke about it on Instagram. "My first four some. @iamwandasykes @amyschumer and Oscar," the "Girls Trip" star teased, adding, "It's gonna be a great night!" It will be the first time the Academy Awards have had a host since 2018 and the first time three women have teamed up for job. The broadcast will be produced by Will Packer, who also produced "Girls Trip." "This year's show is all about uniting movie lovers. It's apropos that we've lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles," he said in a statement. Megan Thee Stallion launches foundation in late parents' honor
Megan Thee Stallion rang in her 27th birthday on Feb. 15 with the launch of a new foundation established in honor of her late parents. "In celebration of my birthday, I'm honored to introduce the Pete and Thomas Foundation," the rapper shared on Twitter. "@PeteThomasFDN is a non-profit organization focused on uplifting and assisting women, children, senior citizens and underserved communities in Houston, Texas and across the world." In another tweet, she added, "My parents raised me to help others and give back, and I'm incredible proud to launch this foundation in their memory." According to the foundation's website, Megan named the organization after her dad, Joseph Pete Jr., who died when she was a freshman in high school, and her mom, Holly Thomas, who lost her battle with cancer in March 2019. Megan's new foundation will focus its efforts on improving access to education, housing and wellness needs for the communities it serves, according to a statement (via Vibe). The rapper also aims to help provide cancer care, battle food insecurity and provide mental health resources through the organization.
