Britney Spears' agent breaks his silence as singer files to remove her father from conservatorship and replace him with financial expert
There's more progress for Britney Spears as she fights to remove her father, Jamie Spears, from the conservatorship that's ruled her life for 13 years. On July 26, Britney's new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, filed a petition officially requesting Jamie's removal as the conservator of her estate, which, court documents imply, is much smaller in value than it could be in part because of how Jamie has managed it as well as how much he's paid himself out of his daughter's earnings. Documents reveal Britney has $2.7 million in liquid assets plus $56.3 million in investments and real estate. TMZ reported they also lay out how much Jamie pays himself: $16,000 a month plus $2,000 a month for office expenses. Additionally, he got 1.5% of the gross from his daughter's successful Las Vegas residency show (he reportedly pocketed more than $2 million) plus it's believed he got another $500,000 from Britney's 2011 "Femme Fatale" tour. Britney is asking to install accountant Jason Rubin in Jamie's place. Meanwhile, the singer's agent and longtime friend Cade Hudson finally spoke out to support her on social media, earning praise from Britney's fans and famous friends including Paris Hilton. "I've kept my mouth shut for 12 + years on Britney. Enough is enough," he wrote, in part, according to ET. He went on to call the "never-ending conservatorship" an example of "sexism" and "a violation of someone's basic human rights …" He closed by writing, "The nonsense needs to end, and the healing process needs to begin. The lord tends to pay those people back in his own ways. So for the first time I'm publicly saying #FREEBRITNEY." Paris replied in the comments by thanking Cade and saying Britney, "deserves to be free, happy and live her life!" Sarah Jessica Parker added: "We all stand ready for @britneyspears next chapter. Whatever she decides that will be. But I hope it's glorious and she will be at liberty to pursue the dreams she has been collecting these past many years. So happy to know you held onto one another. And yes @britneyspears @cadehudson22 is right, the world is listening and on your side."

In a July 25 tweet that quickly went viral, Pink offered to cover a fine incurred by the Norwegian female beach handball team for wearing shorts instead of bikini bottoms at last week's championship. "I'm VERY proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team FOR PROTESTING THE VERY SEXIST RULES ABOUT THEIR 'uniform,'" she wrote, referencing the fact that the men's team wears long shorts and full tank tops while the women must wear bikini bottoms and sports bras, per dress code rules. "The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM," Pink continued. "Good on ya, ladies. I'll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up." Now, it looks like the chatter she helped stir up on social media had an impact. On July 26, the European Handball Federation announced the fine, which was reportedly paid by the Norwegian Handball Federation, is being donated "to a major international sports foundation which supports equality for women and girls in sports." In a statement posted to the EHF's website on July 26, the organization's president, Michael Wiederer, said: "We are very much aware of the attention the topic has received over the past days, and while changes cannot happen overnight, we are fully committed that something good comes out of this situation right now which is why the EHF has donated the fine for a good cause promoting equality in sports. … The EHF will do all it can to ensure that a change of athlete uniform regulations can be implemented." The women's handball team, meanwhile, retweeted Pink's post, writing, "Thank you so much for all the support. We really appreciate all the love we have received."

Adele stepped out twice over the weekend with NBA agent Rich Paul, fueling rumors the two are an item. Photos published by The Sun showed the pair getting cozy on their way inside Cipriani in New York City on July 22. Two days later, they hit an 80th birthday party in the Hamptons for Patriots owner Robert Kraft, according to Page Six. The apparent dates come after the singer, 33, and sports dealmaker, 40, were photographed together in Phoenix for an NBA finals game one week earlier. After the game, ESPN's Brian Windhorst said on his podcast that Rich's "girlfriend is Adele." He also claimed it was the first time they'd "come out in public together."

Tori Spelling says her teenage daughter's 'fire is back' after being bullied
Tori Spelling is speaking out how being bullied has affected her 13-year-old daughter, Stella McDermott — and how modeling helped get her "fire … back." Over the weekend, the "90210" alum revealed Stella had a photoshoot with the brand Petite 'n Pretty for its back-to-school ad campaign. It was Stella's "1st modeling shoot as a teen girl," Tori explained on Instagram. "Stella is an amazing human. Heart of gold & always leads w/kindness. She's innovative & creative and full of fire. Which is why as a mom it was so painful to see a young woman's fire dimmed bc of bullying." Tori went on to recall how her daughter was one of multiple kids who were bullied by one boy who "wasn't stooped" by the staff. "With Stella's bullying came health issues," Tori continued. "She developed headaches, stomachaches, panic attacks, & her asthma increased. Emotions can be pretty powerful & manifest into physical ailments. She missed a lot of school due to this. But, what did remain was her drive & passion for baking, cooking, & crafting." Tori went on to claim the school principal also "bullied" Stella by not signing off on her request to appear in "Master Chef" for one day because she'd "[missed] too much school." In the end, Tori said the principal agreed to let Stella miss class for the show if Tori promised to pull all her kids out of the school the following year. Tori agreed, Stella won the competition and Tori says she saw her little girls "fire" return. "That's the lesson we should be teaching! To encourage our kids to find their individual passions & thrive!" she wrote. "Your fire is back @stella_mcdermott08 You are a fierce female. So proud of U Buggy!"
Lil Nas X claps back at 'Industry Baby' video criticism
Lil Nas X is back with another racy music video — for his new single, "Industry Baby" — and plenty of thoughts to share with critics who say it's too sexy or too gay. Set in a prison, the video features the Grammy winner dancing au naturel alongside other guys in their birthday suits in the shower. Everyone's private parts are blurred out and the lyrics focus on the music industry success of Nas X and his collaborator, rapper Jack Harlow — not sex. But to author and commentator Dr. Boyce Watkins, who's publicly criticized other rappers in the past — the video doesn't read as Nas X "fighting for gay rights." Instead, he sees it as "marketing the sexual irresponsibility that's causing young men to die from AIDS," according to a tweet he shared on July 25. "Being gay is one thing, but being a super spreader is another," Boyce wrote, adding, "There's nothing healthy or helpful about that video. Especially for children." In response, Nas X wanted to know why the gay themes in his video are a problem when so much hip-hop has historically revolved around straight sex. "Y'all be silent as h— when n—– dedicate their entire music catalogue to rapping about sleeping with multiple women," he replied. "But when i do anything remotely sexual i'm 'being sexually irresponsible' & 'causing more men to die from aids.' Y'all hate gay ppl and don't hide it." The next day, Boyce followed up his tweet by asserting, "The terms 'sexist' and 'homophobic' have unfortunately been turned into catch-all attacks on anyone who speaks out against the racist sexual irresponsibility being constantly promoted in hip hop." Nas X also recently faced backlash for his last video, for the single, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," and for his decision to kiss a male dancer onstage at the 2021 BET Awards. "I love who i am," he tweeted in response to critics at the time, "and whatever i decide to do. get there."
Camila Cabello defends dancer accused of wearing blackface after 'Tonight Show' performance
Camilla Cabello's recent "Tonight Show" performance of "Don't Go Yet" offended some viewers who thought one of her dancers had darkened his skin in a way that suggested blackface. It didn't help matters that the dancer, who is white, later went on Instagram and shared a clip of himself in the costume, which included a purple shirt, with an emoji of a black woman in a purple shirt. "Emoji fashion on point," he wrote in the caption. He also thanked someone "for pointing [out]" the similarity. Over on Twitter, Camila responded to say the dancer, Dylan Pearce, was "supposed to be a white man with a terrible spray tan." She said he was part of an intentionally "multicultural group of performers," and said, "the point was to try to make each person look like an over-the-top 80's character just like in the video, including a white dude with a terrible orange spray tan." Stylist Lisa Katnić, who reportedly worked on the music video, chimed in to say the dancer, "… is meant to have a bad fake tan." She added that the makeup artist "put light concealer around his eyes to express that," adding, "Perhaps it needed to be lighter so it was more pronounced. This is not blackface. Sorry if it looked like that to anybody but I assure you that was not the vibe." Camilla has previously come under fire for resurfaced Tumblr posts that included racist jokes. She has said she's since enrolled in "racial healing sessions," per EW.
Kyle Richards hospitalized for allergic reaction to bee stings
Kyle Richards is recovering after she accidentally walked into a bee hive over the weekend. "So this happened yesterday… I walked into a hive of bees and was stung multiple times. If you know we at all you know I am allergic to bees and terrified of them, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star captioned one of multiple hospital selfies on her Instagram Story (via People). Kyle also shared footage from a security camera that showed her dashing to the pool to try to get stingers out of her hand before realizing she still had more bees in her hair after they'd chased her through the yard. "I share this story with you because I sometimes don't bother to take my epi pen with me. I also don't know why I couldn't get mine to work," she wrote in another post. "There are different types of epi pens and they each work differently. But also always call 911 even if you are able to use your epi pen as they have to use other medications to help breathing etc." Kyle's former "Real Housewives" co-star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was also injured over the weekend. On July 25, she posted on Instagram that she was in search of "hot tips on how to get rid of Vertigo." Sharing a photo of a large bump on her lip and a red mark on her cheek, she said she jumped out of bed at 4 a.m. to check on her daughter — then "fainted and busted open my cheek and lip." In the comments, Kyle joked, "We are a good team #hotmessexpress."
Scooter Braun deletes twitter, Instagram after divorce filing
Scooter Braun is off social media after filing for divorce from his wife of seven years, Yael Cohen. The music manager, who reps Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato, among others, recently deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, multiple outlets reported July 26. Though the accounts usually featured promos related to his artist representation projects, Page Six says Scooter had posted a loving anniversary message for Yael shortly before news of the former couple's split broke earlier this month. In papers filed in Los Angeles on July 21, Scooter reportedly asked for joint custody of the three children he and Yael share and agreed to pay spousal support. Scooter, 40, reportedly began dating the South African mining heiress and health philanthropist, 34, in 2013 after seeing her give a TEDx Talk, according to E! News.
