New beau
Teresa Giudice has a new man. Last weekend, the reality TV star was spotted at a football game with a guy who was photographed with his arm around her waist resting on her hip — she even shared a pic on Facebook. On Nov. 9, Page Six identified her mystery beau as New Jersey-based businessman Luis "Louie" Ruelas, a 46-year-old single father of two. "The relationship is very new, but both are very happy," a source told Page Six. Louie is the co-founder of Digital Media Solutions, a marketing company. This is the mother of four's first legitimate relationship since finalizing her divorce from her husband of 20 years, Joe Giudice. On Nov. 11, Teresa's sister-in-law Melissa Gorga weighed in. "Teresa's good. She's got her little boyfriend," Melissa told "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Jen Shah via Instagram Live, as reported by Us Weekly.
TV legend lost
Beloved "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek passed away on Nov. 8 following a well-documented battle with pancreatic cancer. Alex had recorded several shows in the weeks leading up to his death, and they began airing on Nov. 9. "Jeopardy!" executive producer Mike Richards opened the show by paying tribute to Alex. Then, before the new episode aired, the stage went dark. "We love him and we miss him already," Mike told CNN and the "Today" show. Many in Hollywood were heartbroken to hear the news. Ryan Reynolds said, "He was gracious and funny. In addition to being curious, stalwart, generous, reassuring and of course, Canadian." John Legend added, "I was obsessed with Jeopardy as a nerdy kid growing up in Ohio. I've loved and revered Alex Trebek since I can remember." It's not outlandish to say that Alex was one of the last universally beloved men on earth.

Stinky split
What's that smell? Bickering exes. Phil Collins' legal battle with ex-wife Orianne Cevey is getting nastier… and very personal. The former couple — she left him for the second time this summer and married another man in Las Vegas — has been fighting over his Miami house, which he says she and her new husband have refused to leave. She argues that Phil failed to make good on a promise to give her half of their $40 million home. On Nov. 9, Orianne filed legal docs claiming the Genesis drummer had a substance abuse problem. She later got personal and said he was a "hermit" who "stopped showering, brushing his teeth and dressing properly (in fact, he did not shower or brush his teeth from 2019 until August 2020 when he vacated)" their property. She further claimed that he couldn't perform in the bedroom. Phil's team denied all her allegations and said she's simply trying to extort him and besmirch his name. "What does this have to do with the case?" Phil's team wrote in the newest court filing. "Is the court going to hear evidence about the parties' sex life or examine Phil Collins' dental records, or get photographs of his wardrobe to decide if he verbally promised [Orianne] 50% of his Miami Beach mansion? Of course not."

Rehab-bound
Sinead O'Connor is headed to rehab. On Nov. 10, she tweeted an apology to fans for postponing her upcoming tour for a year. The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer said she's entering a year-long rehab program to treat "trauma and addiction." She wrote, "I had a very traumatic six years and this year was the end of it but now recovery starts. This year I lost someone beloved and has affected me so badly that I became briefly addicted to a drug other than weed." She later added, "I grew up with a lot of trauma and abuse. I then went straight into the music business. And never learned really how to make a normal life. Never took proper time to heal. Wasn't ready to either."
Breakup rumors
For a good portion of the week there was speculation that popular country duo Florida Georgia Line had either split up or was on the verge of a breakup. Eagle-eyed fans noticed during the week that member Tyler Hubbard and his wife, Hayley, stopped following member Brian Kelley and his wife, Brittney, on Instagram. Many fans suspect that the presidential election and perhaps the coronavirus pandemic are a source of tension for the duo (Tyler appeared to be a Joe Biden supporter, whereas Brian implied he was a Donald Trump supporter). Brian also predicted that COVID-19 restrictions would go away now that the election is over, all but hinting at a conspiracy. Meanwhile, Tyler announced on Nov. 8 that he'd tested positive for COVID-19 and was quarantining on his tour bus outside his home. The duo was set to perform during the CMA Awards on Nov. 11 prior to Tyler's positive test but obviously had to pull out. Amid all this, Brian's wife posted multiple cryptic messages to Instagram about friendship, respect and differences, which many felt backed up split speculation. However, a source told Us Weekly, "All is good with the FGL family. Tyler and Brian's friendship is as strong as ever." Tyler is now back to following Brian.
Conservatorship change
A judge rejected Britney Spears' request to remove her father, Jamie Spears, from her conservatorship on Nov. 10. Britney did, however, get one thing she desired. Upon the pop star's request, the judge approved financial company Bessemer Trust to act as co-conservator. The singer has said she will not perform again so long as Jamie is guiding her life via the conservatorship. "My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father," her lawyer told The Associated Press. "She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career." Jamie's lawyers argued that he's doing everything right and the conservatorship is doing what it was intended to do.
Ex-factor
Talk about awkward! From 2007 to 2009, "The Big Bang Theory" co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki quietly dated. However, not long after they split, show creator Chuck Lorre had their characters get romantic. "When we broke up obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute, but I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like, sleeping together every other second," she said this week on Dax Shepard's podcast. To this day, Kaley thinks Chuck did it intentionally to mess with her and Johnny. "If I was with him, I would ask him because that came out of nowhere," she said. "All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other."
Super Bowl star
Just call it Super Bowl "Weeknd"! On Nov. 12, music star The Weeknd announced that he will be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2021! "We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position," he said in a statement. "I'm humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year." Pepsi, which sponsors the show, confirmed the news, as did JAY-Z, who partners with the NFL to book acts. The only two questions that remain: Will he be joined by anyone else? And will there be fans at the game?
COVID-19 reveal
On Nov. 10, Hugh Grant revealed that he and his wife battled COVID-19 at the start of the pandemic. "It started as just a very strange syndrome where I kept breaking into a terrible sweat. It was like a poncho of sweat, embarrassing really," he said on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." "Then my eyeballs felt about three sizes too big and this feeling as though some enormous man was sitting on my chest." Hugh recalls losing his sense of smell — he couldn't pick up the scent of flowers. "You get more and more desperate — I started sniffing in garbage cans. You know, you want to sniff strangers' armpits because you just can't smell anything," he said.
Surprise return
"Grey's Anatomy" fans were treated to a huge surprise when a beloved character — McDreamy — returned to the ABC series for a guest appearance during the season 17 premiere on Nov. 12. Patrick Dempsey — whose character, Dr. Derek Shepherd, was killed off on the show in 2015 — popped up in a dream sequence scene set on a beach that played out after his on-screen love, Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), collapsed in the hospital parking lot. "I think the whole atmosphere has changed, certainly working at the beach, and seeing everybody again was really a very healing process, and really rewarding, and a lot of fun," Patrick told Deadline of the unexpected reunion. "And hopefully, that feeling translates, and the fans enjoy it. I know that they've been wanting us to get back together, and I think this will satisfy a lot of people, and surprise a lot of people, hopefully."
