He's finally done — for real this time. Exactly a year after Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement — only to unretire less than two months later — he's decided to end his football playing career, for real this time, after 23 seasons in the NFL — and three months after he and supermodel Gisele Bundchen divorced.
"I'm retiring. For good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I figured I'd just press record, and let you guys know first," Tom told fans in an emotional video he posted on social media on Feb. 1. "It won't be long-winded, you only get one super-emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so I… really thank you guys… so much… to every single one of you, for supporting me, my family, my friends, teammates, my competitors," the seven-time Super Bowl champion continued, getting choked up and misty-eyed. "I could go on forever. There's too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream."
