Bah humbug!
While the holiday season is said to be "the most wonderful time of the year," not everyone is on board. Even Hollywood has a few scrooges…
Miley Cyrus has made no secret of her distaste for Christmas, once telling the KISS FM "Breakfast Show" that her holiday family gathering always ends in "fistfights, and usually with each one of us removing ourselves and slamming the door in some way and a lot of apology texts." She added, "I mean we're all kind of conspiracy theorists and I remember one year we got onto the topic of, like, aliens and it ended with my brothers not talking for a week and my mom crying." In 2016, she said the holiday always made her "deeply sad."

Larry David has no enthusiasm for Christmas. In a piece he wrote for Graydon Carter's Air Mail about his Christmas traditions in December 2021, the "Seinfeld" creator said he "can't tolerate anything" that throws him off his normal routine. "That's why I detest all holidays, but none as much as Christmas," he wrote. The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star has a laundry list of reasons he hates the holiday. "There's the loathsome music. The movies with their ridiculous, treacly sentiments. The presents — thinking about them, shopping for them (never without resentment), and the attendant pile of garbage that accumulates from opening them, an environmental disaster simultaneously taking place in living rooms across the country," he penned. "There's also the faux bonhomie and nonsensical holiday spirit that dissolves the next day as quickly as an Alka-Seltzer. And let's not forget the barrage of 'Merry Christmas!'s and 'Happy holidays!' that must be returned like unwanted 'I love you's." Larry said he never gets invited to holiday parties anymore because of his "offensive presence." He added, "All those years of complaining and kvetching finally paid off. I was the envy of everyone I knew."

Lady Gaga has seemed to have an identity complex regarding Dec. 25. At a 2010 concert, she told the crowd, "I do like Christmas, but for those of you who are feeling lonely this Christmas, I hate Christmas! I'm alone and miserable!" Gaga then stomped on a stuffed Santa Claus. Afterward, the singer added, "Anyway, now that I've killed Santa, what am I going to do with all of you?"

Rod Stewart may have a Christmas album, but don't get it twisted, he's no fan of Santa's big day. The singer's wife, Penny Lancaster, told "Loose Women" that she dresses up like Mrs. Clause while wrapping presents to cheer him up. "Rod doesn't love Christmas. He can't wait till the decorations are down and his house is back to normal. Just to lift his mood I put a little Father… Lady Christmas on," she said, referring to the outfit. "It puts a big smile on his face."

Colin Firth has a "profound loathing" for Christmas. "At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory," he told MailOnline back in 2009. "I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that's when I come over all humbug." Sounds like someone needs some holiday cheer!

Jennifer Aniston has come around on Christmas, but she wasn't a fan growing up, thanks to her family's traditions. "When I was a kid, they used to make me belly dance. On Christmas Eve," she told Entertainment Weekly. "My dad's whole side of the family is Greek, so I would dress up as a little Greek girl and then on Christmas, after taking belly-dancing classes, I would do that. It had nothing to do with Christmas even. It was just, 'Let's humiliate Jen on Christmas.'" Jen is a much bigger fan of Thanksgiving, as evidenced by her annual parties.

Perhaps no one hates Christmas quite like Ozzy Osbourne. Back in 2009, he described his thoughts in a way that only he can. "I have to unravel all these f****** presents. What a f****** waste of paper," he told Express. "I f****** hate Christmas. I f****** hate it. Everything stops. When I used to drink, it was a good excuse to get f*****. Now, I just hate it." Sheesh!

Maybe Hugh Grant's feelings about Christmas have changed now that he's a father. Back in 2009, he told the Mirror that he and his dad would go to a "Muslim country to escape" Dec. 25. "We both hate Christmas," he said. Since that interview, Hugh has welcomed five children, and we all know kids typically love Christmas.

While there's no tangible evidence that Melania Trump hates Christmas, it seems that she could do without the decorations. The former FLOTUS was once caught on tape saying, "I'm working my a** off with the Christmas stuff that, you know, who gives a f*** about Christmas stuff and decorations, but I need to do it, right?" Funny enough, Melania's husband, Donald Trump, sometimes spoke about the "war on Christmas." Maybe he should have been looking inside his own house?

Marion Cotillard is one of those rare people who hated Christmas as a kid. In 2016, she told Kelly Ripa she's "not a Christmas person," explaining, "that was from a very young age. I remember fighting with my mom because I didn't want to get presents," the actress said. "She was very mad at me and it was a fight every year because she couldn't stand having me amongst the kids not having a present. And I was like, 'I'm fine, I don't need anything, I don't want it.'"

To perhaps no one's surprise, notable curmudgeon Noel Gallagher isn't interested in Christmas. The Oasis guitarist and co-singer called the holiday a "stain on society." Why? "Too much food, too much 'We Are The World,' the jumpers [sweaters], the TV presenters, the s*** adverts, the f****** weather." Noel should probably hibernate during December.

Marilyn Manson isn't bringing holiday cheer to anyone anytime soon — in fact, he's never had a Christmas tree as an adult. "I hate Christmas," he said in 2016. "Some of my friends celebrate Chanukah, which seems to me to be more conventional and a better holiday because you get more gifts, I think … I've spent every Christmas without a Christmas tree."

Take Diego Luna off your Christmas card list. The "Star Wars" actor ain't having it. "I hate the wave of consumerism and the feeling that you have to do things that you normally don't have to do at any other time of the year," he once told Celestrellas.

"Django Unchained" actor Christopher Waltz firmly believes that commercialism "comes to its unbearable peak over Christmas." The Oscar winner was once asked in an interview what his biggest wish was. "No Christmas… That's my biggest wish, no Christmas," he said.
