Wonderwall.com rounded up all the proof that stars are nothing like the rest of us from late March and early April 2022, starting with this story that's sure to make your jaw drop… On the April 20, 2022, episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" — his first talk show appearance in 14 years — Nicolas Cage confirmed a rumor that he once dropped somewhere around $80K on a two-headed snake. "Does that make me impossibly strange? I did [have a two-headed snake]. It's weird," he said, adding that he'd been "dreaming about two-headed eagles" at the time when an exotic pet dealer coincidentally reached out to his manager about the snake. He didn't hold onto the snake for long, though: The two heads "would fight" because "one head was more dominant than the other" and "it just got a little too freaky" for the actor, who ultimately donated the snake to the Audubon Zoo, where it lived for 14 years. These days, his only exotic pet is a talking African pied crow that lives in a 16-foot dome at his home in Las Vegas. Later in the wildly entertaining interview, Nic said he once donated $20K to a local orphanage after he won big playing roulette in the Bahamas. He also confirmed rumors he once attempted to buy a cave: "I had an interest in exploring all the elements," he launched into the story. "I got my [diving] certificate on the Great Barrier Reef — I explored the element of water. Air, I didn't really get as far as I wanted to — I wanted to be a hang glider, but it didn't happen. Fire, I felt like [with] 'Ghost Rider' I had explored the element of fire. Then I wanted to explore earth, and I thought, 'I want to start spelunking. I want to start exploring caves.'" That's when he learned a cave was on the market somewhere in North Dakota: "It was beautiful. … There were all these stalactites and all these milky quartz-like crystalline walls. At the time, I was married and I was like — it looked like nigori sake, unfiltered sake — 'I'd like to buy this and just go down to the bottom of the cave and get totally naked with my wife and drink nigori in the bottom of a cave in the earth,'" he said, drawing roars of laughter from the audience.

Kim Kardashian saw her $400K Maybach minivan for the very first time on the March 28, 2022, episode of "Million Dollar Wheels." According to luxury car dealer RD Whittington, the custom ride — which features multiple televisions, reclining captain's chairs, folding tables, multi-color roof lighting and a partition that can go from fully transparent to frosted — is "literally the first" of its kind in the United States. (See it here.) After describing herself as "a car girl," the reality star joked that she has "way too many cars" now. (No kidding.) "I had four Maybach trucks, and I need a fleet, so I was like, 'If I'm not going to get this, then I might sell them all and move on to Rolls [Royces] or something,'" she said. (Eye roll.) The episode ended with Kim asking RD to paint the minivan gray to match the rest of her all-gray fleet of luxury cars.

Gaga got a bug, Leo got a tree and Taylor got an arthropod… In a scientific report published on April 15, 2022, Virginia Tech scientists Derek Hennen, Jackson Means and Paul Marek announced that they named a newly discovered species of millipede Nannaria swiftae in Taylor Swift's honor. "The specific name is a noun in the genitive case derived as a matronym and is named in honor of the artist Taylor Swift, in recognition of her talent as a songwriter and performer and in appreciation of the enjoyment her music has brought [Derek]," the trio wrote. Derek, who served as the study's lead author, later added in a statement, "Her music helped me get through the highs and lows of graduate school, so naming a new millipede species after her is my way of saying thanks."
