Each year, Britain's royal family honors the 1st Battalion Irish Guards on Saint Patrick's Day. For more than a decade now, Prince William and Princess Kate have overseen the traditional festivities, which include a parade, the gifting of shamrocks to the troops and quality time with the battalion's adorable four-legged mascot.
