Upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of a newly named King Charles III, his second wife got a new title: Camilla, Queen Consort. And upon her May 6, 2023, coronation alongside her husband, she dropped the "Consort" and is now known simply — and controversially — as Queen Camilla. Married at last! Prince Charles and his second wife, who took the title Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall upon their marriage, left St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England, on April 9, 2005, after their wedding service of prayer and dedication, which followed a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall earlier that day.

The tiara is perhaps the most recognizable diadem ever worn by her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, during the late monarch's 70-year reign. Elizabeth wore this sparkler, also known as the Diamond Diadem, for the first time in public at her own first State Opening of Parliament in 1952 when she was a new queen but before her coronation, as well as on the carriage journey to most State Openings of Parliament before exchanging it for the Imperial State Crown inside. The diadem is also seen on her head on British and Commonwealth coinage, banknotes and postage stamps.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall was a golden girl from her blonde hair to her lace dress to her shoes as she joined Prince Charles for a reception at the ambassador's residence in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 3, 2005, the third day of an eight-day visit to the United States for the royal couple, six months after they married.
