Wonderwall.com rounded up all the proof that stars are nothing like the rest of us from May and June 2022, starting with this story that's sure to make your jaw drop… This is the type of big spending we love to see… On June 15, 2022, the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville announced that Dolly Parton recently donated $1M to the organization's pediatric infectious disease research efforts. No child should ever have to suffer, and I'm willing to do my part to try and keep as many of them as I can as healthy and safe as possible," the country music icon said in a statement. It's the second time in the past few years that the singer-actress has made a major donation to VUMC: In April 2020, she donated $1M to the organization's COVID-19 research efforts.

It looks like Dwayne Johnson will be winning the Son of the Year Award this year… again. On June 4, 2022, The Rock took to Instagram to show off the new house he bought his mother, Ata Johnson: "I surprised my mom and bought her a new home," he captioned a video of his mother holding back tears while touring her new digs for the very first time. "Took me and my design team eight weeks to get it ready, where she could walk through her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise. I've been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she's told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That's my dream.' Mom, there's no greater feeling than to make you happy — welcome home." He also shared a video of his mom touring her new family room and a clip of her reacting to her new "Smackdown Room," which is filled with her "treasures" — Dwayne Johnson memorabilia from over the years including posters, trophies, his old football helmet, a wrestling championship belt and more. "This is her favorite room to bring guests to and it's my least favorite because the last thing I want to do is stand in a DJ shrine while people look around … at all the stuff I've done. No thanks," he joked in the caption. According to the New York Post, the A-list actor dropped $3.48M on the six-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom, 4,400-square-foot home in Encino, California.

"Enjoy your new ride @saronasnukawwe," he wrote in the caption.

Growing your body hair for work? Only in Hollyweird! During a chat with Courteney Cox for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series — which debuted on YouTube on June 17, 2022 — Faith Hill said that she loathed growing out her armpit hair for her role on "1883." She stopped shaving "a few months" before she shot the Paramount+ miniseries, she said, calling it a "really difficult" experience. "I don't laser [my body hair], but I may now so I never have to do that again. It really grossed me out," she admitted. "All due respect to those who love that — and all that freedom, woo! But for me, I just don't like it." Sadly, after all that, her armpit hair didn't even make it on the show!

In the process, she revealed that Justin Bieber bought her very first TV for her when she moved into her own apartment after she turned 18. (They weren't even officially dating at the time!) "I was out to dinner one night with Justin, and he was like, 'So you got your own place, how's it been? You got all your furniture? You have everything you need?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, it's amazing. I love it. I have a couch. It's great. I have dishes. I have spoons.' … And he's like, 'Well, that's amazing. Is there anything you don't have yet? Is there anything you're missing?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, I don't have a TV yet, but I'm gonna get one — it's not a big deal.' And he's like, 'OK, OK, cool.' And then he was driving me home, and on the way, he was like, 'I can't do this. We gotta go to Best Buy.' So he took me to Best Buy on the way home, and I was mortified because I'm like, 'You're not about to buy me a TV.' And he bought me a TV!" she recalled, adding that the pop star "carried it upstairs himself, unboxed it [and] did the whole thing." She went on to say that she still has the TV, which she couldn't get rid of because the gift from her hubby was "too cute."

"I had gone to one taping of Eddie Murphy … and I'd gone backstage," she said as Jimmy — who starred on "Saturday Night Live" from 1998 to 2004 — looked increasingly aghast. "I knew what it was. I knew it was so iconic, but I had never [watched it]. I gotta be honest: I had no idea you were on," continued the reality star, who's been dating "SNL" star Pete Davidson since they connected on the show in October 2021. "A month after, I was at dinner and Will Ferrell was sitting right next to me. The show had just aired when I was on, and he mentioned he'd seen it. And I literally had to text Pete and be like, 'Wait, was Will Ferrell on SNL?' And I was so embarrassed." For good reason, Kim! What rock have you been living under for the past 25 years?!

Don't have the right suit for a special occasion? Why not call up your friendly neighborhood rock star to see if he has anything you might be able to borrow… That's what Kate Hudson's brother, actor Oliver Hudson, did for FOX's Upfronts presentation in New York City on May 16, 2022. "It's not mine, it's a friend's," the "Rules of Engagement" alum told Page Six Style of his burgundy Gucci ensemble, which he borrowed from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. "I'm not a suit guy. My suits are, like, from 1834. I don't have suits. They've been eaten by moths. I pull out my suits and I'm like, 'What the f*** is this? I cannot wear this. So I called Adam and I said, 'I know you must have suits.' [He said,] 'Yeah, come on over.' He gave me this whole Gucci spread and I feel good." If only it were that easy for the rest of us!
