As 2016 draws to a close, it's time to relive some of the fun, funny and jaw-dropping examples of how the stars are nothing like the rest of us! Take, for instance, the fact that they insure their body parts and vocal talents. Mariah Carey reportedly took out policies to cover her legs and voice while she toured in 2016 — for a whopping $70 million!

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have a private chef who caters to their every whim. While that probably doesn't come as much of a surprise, what is shocking is just how strict Gisele and Tom's diets are. Their chef, Allen Campbell, revealed in a January interview with Boston.com that "If it's not organic, I don't use it. And [they only eat] whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, millet, beans. The other 20 percent is lean meats: grass-fed organic steak, duck every now and then and chicken. As for fish, I mostly cook wild salmon." Not included in their diet? Any caffeine, dairy, white sugar, white flour, MSG, iodized salt, fungus, heated olive or canola oil and nightshades, which rules out tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and eggplants.

In September, Kim Kardashian West revealed that she took around 6,000 selfies during a four-day vacation in Mexico. (That works out to at least one selfie a minute for the entire duration of the trip — with no breaks for sleep!)

Um, $10,000 a night for an Airbnb? Must be nice to be Beyonce! When the star made a guest appearance at Super Bowl 50 in February 2016, she made sure she had A-list accommodations. Beyonce booked a $10,000 Airbnb in Los Altos Hills, California — 30 minutes away from the stadium in Santa Clara, California — which featured five bedrooms and eight bathrooms and sat on 11 acres.

That willpower! The Rock wasn't born with that body, and he explained just how disciplined he has to be to keep it lookin' good while visiting "The Tonight Show" in June 2016. Dwayne Johnson revealed he hadn't eaten candy in 27 years. "I'm just not a big candy guy. You know, I love cheat meals. Right? I love that, but I'm just not like… a candy thing," he confessed to Jimmy Fallon. In response to that, Jimmy made The Rock eat — what else — Pop Rocks!

$40K a month could buy a car or a year's worth of college tuition or… if you're Taylor Swift, it could pay for one month's rent at your New York City apartment. That's how much Taylor is spending for her temporary four-story place in the West Village while the apartment she owns undergoes renovations. Must be nice!

Well, here's a new one! Celebs' looks can work against them. Charlize Theron spoke out about her belief that being pretty makes her lose out on jobs. The stunning 5-foot-10 actress lamented to British GQ that good-looking actors are often passed over for "meaty roles." Must be rough!

They save people's lives! When Jamie Foxx saw a terrible car crash in front of his house on Jan. 18, he ran out to see how he could help. The actor called 911, but he also pulled the driver from his burning car. Jamie said he acted heroically because he feared the car would blow up with the driver still inside while they waited for help. Jaime also met with the driver's dad who has expressed his gratitude to the actor for saving his son's life. Jamie Foxx: not just a hero on the big screen.

Wow! Celebrity real estate typically fetches a pretty penny, but Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's family home is going for a hefty amount that's pricey even by celeb standards. The couple recently listed their Malibu pad for — wait for it — $60 million, which equals about $15 million per bedroom.

Ben Affleck revealed on "The Graham Norton Show" in November that while he was in London shooting "Justice League," he took his son Samuel, 4, to an indoor play park where none other than Prince George and Princess Charlotte were running around. Unfortunately for Samuel, he left the royal playdate with something unexpected — a cold! Ben, however, saw the bright side, noting, "I can now tell him that he got a cold from the King of England!"

In March 2016, Khloe Kardashian revealed that she washes her sheets every two days and washes and bleaches her towels after each use. "I looked up what the Internet recommends and found out that maybe I'm just a little bit more fanatical about being clean than I thought," she admitted on her website. Getting your hair dyed can be really expensive, but if you're a celebrity, it's just chump change. That's why Gwen Stefani hasn't thought twice about the fact that she's been getting her roots done every week — for the last two decades! Her hairstylist spilled the beans on all that upkeep to E! News, sharing that he works on the pop star's hair every seven or eight days. He's also created a special bleaching formula just for Gwen to prevent damaging her hair (he also utilizes a conditioner to style her coif instead of hairspray). As for keeping her look the same over the last 20 years, Danilo doesn't care about incoming and outgoing hair trends. "I know roots are in right now… but I don't like them on her. I want her to look seamless." And look seamless she does!

When a touching GoFundMe cause pulls at our heartstrings, we might give $20 or $50. But when Ellen DeGeneres donates, she goes a little further. The talk show host (with some help from Shutterfly) rewarded a 17-year-old Good Samaritan with $10,000 for finding and returning Chris Hemsworth's wallet in April 2016.

One thing about celebrities? They don't often make good neighbors. And sometimes even the other famous people living nearby can't take it. Those who live in Chris Brown's neighborhood are not fans of the singer after he recently took his ATV out for a ride around their streets. Khloe Kardashian brought new meaning to the term "ordering off the menu" when she and NBA star Tristan Thompson stepped out for a romantic dinner date at Prime 112 restaurant in Miami on Sept. 18. The reality TV star reportedly found the steakhouse's menu wanting, but rather than head elsewhere, Koko asked to have a dish from a neighboring restaurant brought to her. "Khloe wanted the Kobe meatball from across the street at Prime Italian, so her server went running to get it," a witness told the New York Post.

Sometimes it feels like stars will try just about anything to stay young and beautiful, and Kim Zolciak-Biermann is no exception. The reality star underwent a "Venus Freeze" treatment that involved cooling down her buttocks in an attempt to keep them "tight."

Since the two dogs, Cha Cha and Jill E. Beans, don't get along, they also needed to travel with two members of Mariah's staff, and had to be "placed in separate kennels for the journey," according to the New York Post. The cost for this extravagant puppy travel? A cool $2,000 per dog.
