Her toddler desire to crawl into the TV and go exploring with cartoon adventurer Dora inspired her to pursue acting and it wasn't long before she landed a Cool Whip commercial, a recurring role on "ER" and a part in the big-screen adaptation of "Speed Racer." She's best known for portraying the middle Dunphy child Alex on the awards bait known as "Modern Family," but keeps almost as busy voicing Gretchen on "Phineas and Ferb," Marina the Mermaid on "Jake and The Never Land Pirates" and the newest Disney princess "Sofia."
