The color of Donald Trump's hair is largely tied to his time tolerance, claims a new report.

A follicle insider explained to Page Six in January 2024 that the former president's hair color varies because he's often too impatient in the stylist's chair and won't let his dye sit long enough. His restlessness is said to drive his stylists crazy.

"The hairdressers get mad at him, but can't show it, as [Donald] Trump can't sit still as he needs at least to sit still for at least 30 minutes for [his hair color] to take. Trump's hair color can vary wildly from dark blonde to light — to bright orange — depending on how long his hairdresser can get him to sit still and let the color do its job," a stylist source told Page Six in January 2024.

"Friends say he's so impatient that he rarely gives the stylist the 30 to 45 minutes… they need to keep his color consistent. The shorter time he gives them, the more orange his hair gets, as it takes time to get the darker blonde locks he associates with his younger years," the source added.

While Donald Trump presumably likes the results that come from the salon, he's annoyed at the process. 

"The former president hates sitting with the dye on his hair and is always rushing the hairdresser thus his color can change every few weeks," a source told Page Six in January 2024. "And it gets lighter every time he washes it."

A source told Page Six that Melania Trump is trying to revamp her husband's image, including his signature orange-tinged locks and combover. 

"This includes everything from new pastel-colored ties — instead of the same solid red tie he's made famous — to slimmer-cut suits to replacing the boxy style of the past to better show of his weight loss," the source said. "The do-over also includes his hair."

The supposed makeover is an attempt to modernize the 77-year-old.

In 2020, Donald Trump suggested that McDonald's french fries were the key to his hair growth. 

The former POTUS found a study from two years prior that claimed a chemical found in McD's fries could prevent hair loss. 

Trump, who is noted for his love of fast food, posted the study to X and penned, "No wonder I didn't lose my hair!"
