The Supreme Court heard arguments on Donald Trump's claim of presidential immunity from prosecution on April 25, 2024.
The former POTUS's attorneys said Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election were "official acts" made in office and therefore he is immune to special counsel Jack Smith's election interference case against him. NBC News noted that some justices expressed "concerns about whether certain presidential acts should be off-limits."
While that was happening inside the highest court in the land, Trump supporters and adversaries gathered outside the Supreme Court to let their voices be heard, including this group, which opposes the former president.
