The ever-adorable Prince George, eldest son of Prince William and Duchess Kate, turned 5 on July 22, 2018. In honor of this future king's birthday, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at his cutest moments through the years… starting with his official birthday portrait. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday — thank you everyone for your lovely messages," Wills and Kate wrote on their Kensington Palace Instagram page alongside this gorgeous shot of their grinning son. This picture was taken in Gloucestershire, England, at the Beaufort Polo Club on June 10, 2018. Young Prince George was captured in full fun mode, running on the lawn with his sister and mom nearby while his dad participated in the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy.

Of course Prince George didn't have to do much in this July 23, 2013, photo to steal all our hearts. His introduction happened just one day after his birth, with his smiling parents, Duchess Kate and Prince William, proudly sharing their new bundle of joy with the world.

Excuse us while we fawn all over this pic of Prince George from Sept. 29, 2016. Then just 3 years old, the wide-eyed royal was mesmerized by bubbles floating around his cherubic face at a military children's party in Victoria during his parents' official royal tour of Canada.

In this May 19, 2018, photo, 4-year-old Prince George is the epitome of dapper in his royal wedding attire for the marriage ceremony of his uncle, Prince Harry, and new aunt, Duchess Meghan.

When you're Prince George, there's no such thing as the terrible twos. In this pic taken on April 22, 2016, the dashing little royal welcomed President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama to his Kensington Palace home in Apartment 1A like a perfect gentleman while wearing a ridiculously cute bathrobe and loafers.

Prince George attended his first Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 13, 2015, when he was a month shy of turning 2 years old. The annual event, which is the queen's official birthday celebration, has been taking place since 1748 and is attended by the most senior members of the royal family. Clearly, the toddler prince was intrigued by the crowds outside Buckingham Palace.

Just 3 months old, Prince George looked angelic in this Oct. 23, 2013, picture taken at St. James's Palace in London. The baby prince was surrounded by his family for his baptism into the Church of England. Fun fact: Prince George's christening gown was a replica of a Victorian-era original worn by 62 royal babies before him, which the queen decided in 2004 was too fragile to be worn by anyone else.

What's extra-adorable about this July 21, 2017, picture of Prince George and Prince William in Hamburg, Germany, is that just moments before it was snapped, the tot was getting a stern talking-to from his parents for misbehaving. Attempting to put his son in a better mood, William allowed George to climb inside a helicopter, much to the little prince's obvious delight. Perhaps young George will follow in his father's footsteps and become a helicopter pilot one day?

We can't get over how cute everyone looks in this official royal family photo taken in August 2013. Newborn Prince George was safe and snug in the arms of his mother, Duchess Kate, while his dad, Prince William, and the family dog, Lupo, smiled proudly beside them.

Proving royals are just like us, Prince George took a bite of mom Duchess Kate's hair while the two visited New Zealand's Government House in Wellington on April 9, 2014, during Kate and Prince William's official royal tour Down Under. The delightfully chubby 10 month old might have been there on official business, but he wasn't about to miss a chance to snack on his mom's flowing locks.

Just a few weeks before his 5th birthday, Prince George gave a cheeky smile while posing for official family photos following little brother Prince Louis' christening on July 9, 2018.

The look of pure wonder and delight on all of their faces is enough to make us swoon.
