Jeffrey Epstein's friends are about to be outed.
In December 2023, a judge ruled that the late disgraced financier's alleged associates list be unsealed as part of a settled defamation case brought by Virginia Giuffre against socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who in 2021 was found guilty of child sex trafficking and other crimes during her long connection with Epstein and is now serving a 20-year prison sentence.
Judge Loretta Preska of New York announced that 177 people will be identified in docs released within a matter of weeks, DailyMail.com reported. That's not to say that these people were involved in illegal acts, but they were at the very least associates of Epstein, a previously convicted sex offender and pedophile who died by suicide in his prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. CBS reported that the list could include accused co-conspirators, victims and others listed in the lawsuit.
Virginia has long argued that she was trafficked by Epstein and Maxwell and was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew as a teenager. In 2022, the Duke of York reached an out of court settlement with Virginia for a reported $13 million.
