A new heartthrob is headed to the NFL, and fans are already swooning. Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman, 24, began developing a (largely female) following at the NFL Combine during the first week of March thanks to, well, his looks. Fans called Sam the "perfect specimen" and argued he "should be the first overall pick based solely off of [his appearance.]" Another wondered, "Why does he look like Jason [Momoa] and Ryan Reynolds had a baby?"

The signal caller even caught the attention of Hall of Famer Cris Carter, who called Sam a "male model." "He's definitely the best-looking guy at the… combine," Cris said in a hilarious online clip. "Look at that dude, man. Look at him. He's got the hair flowing and the beard." Upon watching a video of Sam running, Cris uttered, "That's not a commercial?"
