Former Alaska governor-turned-reality star Sarah Palin celebrated her 60th birthday on Feb. 11. The prominent Republican (seen here at a 2008 campaign rally) famously served as John McCain's running mate during his 2008 bid for the presidency.
In recent years, she's worked predominantly as a conservative talking head on various right-leaning opinion-news shows. She also briefly competed on the third season of "The Masked Singer" in 2020.
In 2022, she ran in the special election for the late Don Young's vacated congressional seat after he died suddenly on a flight from Los Angeles to Seattle. She even secured an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, but it didn't do the trick: She lost to Democrat Mary Peltola. (Later that year, Sarah lost to Mary again in the general election.)

Duff McKagan (seen here in 1988) turned 60 on Feb. 5. Six months later, the Guns N' Roses bassist will celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary with model Susan Holmes. "[Turning] 60 is great. I made it, and I really do feel like I'm 20," he told People magazine in late 2023. "When you live in a state of gratefulness, age doesn't f****** matter. But I'm so stoked about 25 years. That's epic. I'm going to get the XXV on my hand tattooed."

Feb. 5 marked Laura Linney's 60th birthday. In 2022, she told Parade that she learned a lot about aging while portraying a woman with terminal cancer on the Showtime series "The Big C" from 2010 to 2013: Said the four-time Emmy winner (who's pictured in 1993), "Being on 'The Big C' made me think about time and the value of it. What do you do with time? When is time used well? And when is time squandered? It made me respect time more — no one is entitled to it, and it's a privilege to age. It's a privilege to grow old. Not everyone gets to do that. And particularly when I was filming 'The Big C,' I would get very irritated when I would hear people complain about aging. I know it's not pleasant. It's not fun; it's frightening. But I have a lot of friends who are no longer with us who would trade places with anyone whose back is hurting a little bit or someone who feels like their face doesn't look like it did when they were 20. It puts things in perspective pretty quickly."

Prominent conservative radio host Glenn Beck (seen here in 2010) turned 60 on Feb. 10.
_
Mariska Hargitay (seen here on season 3 of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in 2001) turned 60 on Jan. 23 — just a few days after the 25th season of "SVU" debuted on NBC. (She's starred as Olivia Benson on the beloved crime drama since 1999.)
"I'm so excited. I announce it constantly," she told People magazine ahead of her big birthday. "I'm proud of it. I'm stronger than I've ever been."
"The age thing was never something I was scared of," she continued, adding that her "soul is evolving" and that she's "letting the butterfly spread its wings."

Jeff Bezos (seen here in 2002) celebrated his 60th birthday on Jan. 12.
The tech billionaire — who was the third richest man in the world on his 60th birthday — reportedly invested in the biotechnology research company Altos Labs when it launched in 2022 with the goal of developing "rejuvenation" technologies to halt or reverse the aging process. The Amazon founder previously invested in Unity Biotechnology, which develops "therapeutics to slow, halt, or reverse diseases of aging." Tell us what's really on your mind, Jeff!
In 2023, the Amazon and Blue Origin founder proposed to former TV host and news reporter Lauren Sanchez, with whom he had an affair while married to Mackenzie Scott, whom he subsequently divorced.
Lauren took to Instagram to wish Jeff a happy birthday, writing, "Look who's turning 60! Happy birthday, baby! Today is another day where your laughter fills our home, and that smile of yours lights up every room. Wishing you an abundance of simple joys and quiet moments of happiness. May this year be filled with everything you love, from peaceful mornings to joyous celebrations. I hope each day brings you countless reasons to smile, just like you give me a reason to smile every single day. Love you, and happy birthday, my love."

Nicolas Cage (who's pictured in 1983's "Valley Girl") turned 60 on Jan. 7.
A few weeks before his milestone birthday — during a late 2023 interview with Vanity Fair — he revealed that he's rethinking his career as he enters his later years: "It's starting to solidify — I'm starting to cement my plan," he said. "I may have three or four more movies left in me. … I do feel I've said what I've had to say with cinema. I think I took film performance as far as I could." He added that he wants "to say bye on a high note."
Continued the Oscar winner, "I was taking stock of how much time I had left. I thought, 'OK, my dad died at 75, I'm going to be turning 60. If I'm lucky, I have maybe a good 15 years and hopefully more. What do I want to do with those 15 years, using my father as the model?' It occurred very clearly to me that I want to spend time with my family."

Jan. 17 marked Michelle Obama's 60th birthday. During a late 2022 interview with Tamron Hall, the former first lady (who's pictured in 2009) opened up about why it's important for women to discuss the more difficult parts of aging — specifically menopause.
Said the author and attorney, "Many of us are from that generation where our parents or grandparents just didn't talk about it, and now we're realizing, 'Well, that wasn't helpful,' so I have no shame in talking about the fact that I'm going on 60 and [discussing] the experience of hot flashes and whether you take hormones and how do you continue to feel sexual and vibrant, [which] depends on the kind of medication [you're taking] — and some of our doctors don't know this stuff at all or don't talk to us about it, so we have to have those conversations. I don't want my girls growing up surprised by their bodies, right? So that means we gotta put it out there because here's the thing about menopause: If you get to it, it's a blessing. So there's no shame in my menopause game. I am alive!"

Bridget Fonda — who gave up acting in the early 2000s to raise a family with husband Danny Elfman — turned 60 on Jan. 27. The "Single White Female" star (she's pictured here in the 1992 psychological thriller) has only been seen in public a handful of times in recent years. In the spring of 2023, she told a paparazzo who snapped her at LAX Airport in Los Angeles that she doesn't miss the limelight: "It's too nice being a civilian," she said.
_
Sandra Bullock (seen here in a promotional photo for 1991's "Love Potion No. 9.") celebrates her 60th birthday on July 26. It will be a tough one for the Oscar-winning actress and mother of two, who lost her partner of nearly a decade — photographer Bryan Randall — in August 2023 following a secret years-long battle with ALS.
_
Courteney Cox (seen here in a promotional photo for the 1985 NBC series "Misfits of Science") won't be sweating her 60th birthday on June 15. During a 2022 interview with the British newspaper The Times, the "Friends" star essentially said that age is just a number: "I feel like I'm young. I have a lot of friends in their 30s and I don't think about it. To me we're the same age until I actually study it," she said, though she later added that it was "so hard to even hear or say" that her big birthday was right around the corner.
"There's nothing wrong with being 60, I just can't believe it. Time goes so fast. There's no question that I am more grounded, I've learnt so much in my life — what to enjoy, what to try to do more of and what to let go of," she explained.
_
Keanu Reeves (who's pictured here circa 1987) celebrates his 60th birthday on Sept. 2. In the spring of 2023, a fan asked the actor during SXSW if he is, in fact, actually aging. Replied the action star, "Yeah, man, I age! I really… I age. It's happening, man."
_
Hoda Kotb (pictured in 2009) celebrates her 60th birthday on Aug. 9. On a late 2023 episode of the "Today" show, she claimed that she's "so excited about turning 60" in 2024 and gushed that "60 is amazing."
"It's so crazy about chapters in life. I'm so glad that all of my stuff is happening now," she said, adding that she felt "vibrant," "excited" and like she was still "evolving" as she neared her big birthday.
"I feel like I'm different. I feel like I'm different than I was a month ago, six months ago, a year ago. And it's like this great, crazy adventure — and I think we used to dread it," she continued. "It's about evolution. You can be 30 and be stuck. You can be 30 and be like a 50-, 60- or 70-year-old. We know them. You can be 40 and be that person. But if you are curious and growing and evolving, life's fun. Otherwise, you can get stuck at any age. … Your body is just carrying your wholeness around, carrying your spirit around. If your spirit is young, you're young. And if your spirit is not, you're not."

Russell Crowe (seen here in 2000) turns 60 on April 7. The Oscar winner is likely to celebrate his big day with his long-term girlfriend, actress-turned-real estate agent Britney Theriot, who's in her early 40s and nearly two decades younger than him.
During a mid-2023 press conference at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, the actor briefly reflected on aging: "You are standing in front of the mirror and go, 'Who the f*** is that?' I am in that period now," he said.
He then hinted that retirement could soon be in the cards for him: "I will take Ridley Scott as my role model: He is still discovering new things in his work. Or I will just stop and you will never hear from me again. I haven't decided what it's going to be. These are two very valid choices," he said.
_
Rob Lowe (seen here in a promotional photo for 1983's "Class") celebrates his 60th birthday on March 17. In late 2023, the Emmy-nominated actor reflected on his big birthday during an interview with "Extra" and shared some helpful advice about aging that he once received from Clint Eastwood: "I said to him once, I said, 'Clint, you're 90 and you're directing movies…' He says, 'I never let the old man in,'" Rob dished.
_
Calista Flockhart turns 60 on Nov. 11 — more than two decades after her husband, Harrison Ford, celebrated his own 60th birthday. (They got together in 2002 when he was 60 and she was in her late 30s.) "The truth is, I sometimes feel very much older than Harrison," the "Ally McBeal" actress once said. (She's pictured in a promotional photo for the 1997 FOX series.)
_
Dec. 4 marks Marisa Tomei's 60th birthday. In recent years, she's portrayed Peter Parker's Aunt May in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Back in 2017, she told The New York Times that she was "horrified" and "crushed" when she realized that the character is typically portrayed as an elderly woman: "I went through the whole negotiation without knowing [how old she is]. They just kept saying 'an iconic character, an iconic character.' … And then the illustration was revealed to me," said the Oscar winner (seen here in 1993's "Untamed Heart").
"Don't toy with my heart, Marvel. Is that really how you view me?" she added before noting that "there's nothing wrong with that [older] depiction of the character" and that she didn't "want to be coming from an ageist point of view about that."
_
March 30 marks Ian Ziering's 60th birthday. The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum (who's seen here in an undated photo from sometime in the 1990s) has been capitalizing on his impressively youthful appearance for years: He's been working with Nu Skin, which specializes in anti-aging products, for nearly a decade.
_

As the body goes down, the soul grows."
_

Said the stand-up of reaching a new level of fame later in her career, "It's funny because when I started doing stand-up, my aspiration was, I want to be able to travel around the country and play theaters and sell them out. And with this tour, tickets are on sale, and we're adding shows, the numbers are looking great, I'm selling out places. And it hit me the other day like, oh, wow, I finally hit what I said I wanted to do when I started out. So that feels great. I teared up a little bit. Because when you first start out, you've got to get to the city days ahead, do all the radio and press and all that stuff to try to sell tickets. And now I guess my work speaks for itself. Or people are just going to show up. And I don't take that for granted. It's taken over 30 years to get to that place where I'm doing what I said I wanted to do."

In my experience, fighting it always seems to backfire and make people look ridiculous. You see actresses get work done and it makes them unrecognizable. I look at these actresses like Diane Keaton, who has never had anything done, and I think that's cool. It's sexy, really," said the Hole frontwoman (who's pictured at the 1995 Oscars).

"I'm coming up on the 40th anniversary of my career. I marvel at the highs and the lows because they're so high and they're so low. My grandbaby was born ten days before my mother died [in April 2022]. You tell me what's goin' on. This is nine months after she left, and I'm still grieving, and I'm still on tour. "Getting older doesn't bother me," continued the French actress. "Life is made like that. So you're not going to fight against it. It's too painful to fight against it. And also, time is bringing you other things. … For me, it's a sort of freedom. I'm more relaxed now than I was before. And that only comes when you can let go of certain things. _

_

But the only aging the Emmy-nominated English actor – who shot into the spotlight playing Gollum in the "Lord of the Rings" franchise – is worried about right now is de-aging technology in moviemaking: "The ability to create photorealistic characters, to digitally de-age actors or digitally resurrect performances from actors who have passed, raises some serious issues," he told Screen Daily back in 2019.
