Hacked
Jessica Alba's social media accounts were hacked not once but twice this week. First, on July 28, the actress's Twitter was compromised — someone started posting homophobic and pro-Hitler messages. Jessica soon took back control of the account. Then, on July 30, her Instagram was hacked. In that case, the person who gained access to her account posted several supportive messages for rapper YNW Melly, who's facing a double murder charge in Florida. The hacker asked for "just one percent" of the Honest Co. founder's multimillion-dollar fortune. One of the messages also said, "Nazi Germany is innocent."
Engaged
Say hello to the bride-to-be! Marvel actress Elizabeth Olsen is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Milo Greene frontman Robbie Arnett, People magazine reported on July 30. The chances of her confirming the news anytime soon, however, are minimal. Elizabeth is very private about her personal life and has credited twin sisters Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen for advising her to be that way. "They're very tight-lipped — notoriously so. I was not caring what I was saying [in interviews] because I'd assumed no one would read it," she told Modern Luxury in 2017. "They'd say, 'You know, even if you don't think anyone's going to read this article, someone might pull the quote later for [something else].' It's all part of how you hope someone interprets you, and how they frame who you are and the work you do."

Personal reveal
Julianne Hough revealed that she's "not straight," despite being married to a man. The "Dancing With the Stars" alum told Women's Health in a story that hit the internet on Aug. 1 that she started a "massive transformation" several months after marrying former NHL player Brooks Laich. Because she has a very emotionally and physically intimate relationship with Brooks, it allowed her to be open. "I [told him], 'You know I'm not straight, right?' And he was like, 'I'm sorry what?' I was like, 'I'm not. But I choose to be with you,'" she told the mag. "I think there's a safety with my husband now that I'm unpacking all of this, and there's no fear of voicing things that I've been afraid to admit or that I've had shame or guilt about because of what I've been told or how I was raised." She didn't say if she's ever romanced a woman.

Together again
Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are reportedly back on. In June, reports claimed that the couple had quietly split in May after a year and a half of dating. But the Coldplay singer and the actress were spotted together two nights in a row this past week, according to Us Weekly, which linked to an image of Chris with Dakota at a July 31 wrap party for her upcoming film "Covers." He also joined her at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film "The Peanut Butter Falcon" on Aug. 1.
Controversial comments
This week, Mario Lopez was forced to walk back comments he made about transgender children on a conservative talk show. The comments he made on Candace Owens' podcast aren't new (it was recorded in June), but they resurfaced this week. In the chat, Mario said it was "dangerous" to let kids self-identify with another gender when they're young. "It's sort of alarming and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on," he said. "When you're a kid… you don't know anything about sexuality yet. You're just a kid." His comments were criticized by many — especially when he conflated gender identity with sexuality — and his name started trending (which is usually not a good thing). On July 31, he apologized. "The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were," he said. "I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful."
Drama!!!
It really might have been the "most dramatic" finale ever in "The Bachelorette" history. On July 30, Hannah Brown chose Jed Wyatt as her final suitor, prompting him to get down on one knee and propose. All was well… until it wasn't. It turns out that Jed was actually dating another woman up until he left to film the show. Long story short, Hannah found out, felt he hadn't been truthful and broke things off. "I know that I deserved more than that," she said afterward. Jed, by the way, apologized, but the damage had already been done. Hannah then asked runner-up Tyler Cameron out for a drink — and he said yes.
Wedding bells
Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty, got a marriage license at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on July 29, according to multiple media outlets. The couple now has 90 days to tie the knot. The news came a few days after the rapper hinted that she was engaged and pregnant. On Chance the Rapper's new track "Zanies and Fools," which Nicki contributed as the finale for his new album, "The Big Day," Nicki raps, "He the Clyde to my Bonnie / 'Bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy."
Central Park show
Welcome to New York! Taylor Swift announced on July 31 that she'll be performing a concert in Central Park on Aug. 22, one day before her "Lover" album is released. She'll join the likes of Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Garth Brooks and others who have performed at the famed park in the heart of Manhattan. "Good Morning America" will air Taylor's performance.
Problem "resolved"
Pauley Perrette's assault claims against her former "NCIS" co-star Mark Harmon have been "resolved," according to a CBS executive. "I can't speak to what she's addressing in her tweets. She did come to us a couple years ago with a workplace concern," CBS's network president, Kelly Kahl, told reporters during the Television Critics Association summer press tour this week. "We immediately investigated it and we resolved it to everyone's satisfaction." Last June, the actress said she was "terrified" of Mark for allegedly "attacking" her, although she wasn't more specific. Pauley will return to CBS next year in a comedy called "Broke." "We are very happy to have her on the air again this year with us," said Kahl, "and I don't think she would be back with us if she had huge concerns."
Truths and myths
You couldn't go anywhere this week without seeing Wendy Williams news. First, there was a rumor that Bravo officials were "begging" her to join "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast. Both she and Bravo exec Andy Cohen shot down that report. Then, Page Six reported that "The Wendy Williams Show" could be approaching its final season. The show's staff, the report said is "well aware that all they have is Season 11 left, that's guaranteed, but until [production company] Debmar-Mercury announces that they are renewing additional seasons beyond the next season, some staff have begun searching for jobs." On Aug. 1, Wendy and estranged husband Kevin Hunter put their New Jersey mansion on the market amid their divorce. They're asking $1.89 million.
