Her son is on verge of another Super Bowl championship, but Randi Mahomes is anything but a trophy mom — she's quite the celebrity herself! Over the years, Patrick Mahomes' mom has been a fierce supporter of her son, and she's rubbed shoulders with some top names in sports and entertainment as a result.
Prior to Patrick's fourth Super Bowl appearance, Randi, 48, chatted with People magazine about raising the stud quarterback and being a young mom.
"Patrick is my first child, and I grew up with him basically," she said. "I had him at a young age, and I don't go out saying that's the best thing to do, but it was the best thing for me just because it made me grow up."
Randi was lost before getting pregnant at age 20. "Sometimes, I look back and I'm like, 'Where would I be if I didn't have him?' Because I wasn't going down a bad road, I just wasn't going on a road," the mother of three now says. (In addition to Patrick, 28, Randi is also mom to son Jackson Mahomes, 23, and daughter Mia Randall, 12.)
These days, Randi lives a rather charmed life.
