Back in January after an image of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrating his team's AFC Championship win in the locker room minus his shirt went viral — the pic was taken from The CW's "Inside the NFL" footage — the 28-year-old NFL star reacted in a post on X.
"Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!?" he wrote, adding three laughing emojis and the hashtag "#DadBodSzn." He then quoted his own post on the app and added, "Like, I got kids!!!"
The "Inside the NFL" account replied, writing, "Elite in our book," and ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller quipped, "You and Jason Kelce doing more for dad bods than anyone in history" — a reference to the now-retired Philadelphia Eagles center's antics at the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game during the playoffs — and further added that Patrick and Jason were "doing the lord's work."
