Tiffany Haddish's recent arrest for DUI — her second in less than three years — is no laughing matter as far as her friends are concerned.
A member of the comedian's inner circle suspects that the "Girls Trip" star is "hiding" her real feelings. "Tiffany likes to drink and have a good time, but her friends are noticing that she is drinking way more around the holidays," a source told Page Six. "We think that she may be lonely and hiding behind a fake smile."

Friends are beginning to suspect that alcohol might be a problem for Tiffany Haddish.
"It's surprising because she has worked so hard to get to where she is," said a Page Six source. "She has always spoken about her hardships about being broke, homeless and living in her car. But now that she has found the success she has always dreamed of, new demons are coming to the surface in the form of alcohol."

Tiffany Haddish poked fun at her arrest during a comedy show on Friday, Nov. 25 — the same day she was handcuffed and jailed.
"I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform," she said at the show, according to audio obtained by TMZ. "God answered my prayers."
Turning real-life drama into a punchline is quintessential Tiffany.
"We love the fact that she can move on from this and turn this life situation into a part of her comedy routine. But we are concerned," a pal told Page Six.

The past two years have not been kind to Tiffany Haddish.
In the summer of 2022, the actress and fellow comedian Aries Spears were accused of sexually abusing children for a 2018 comedy sketch. Tiffany quickly said she regretted the sketch: "Clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn't funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it," she said at the time. (She and Aries no longer speak.)
The accuser later dismissed the sex abuse claims in court. Although Tiffany was "relived" once the lawsuit was over, she maintained that she was most concerned about the children involved in the sketch.
The fallout from the situation hit her pocketbook hard.
"I lost everything," she told a TMZ cameraman afterward, adding that "all my gigs gone, everything gone."
