Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, was sentenced to five months in jail for lying under oath in his testimony in Donald Trump's civil fraud trial and is now serving time at a notorious lockup facility: New York City's Rikers Island complex.
In March, Weisselberg pleaded guilty to two counts of perjury and admitted to lying about the value of the former president's New York City penthouse. Before learning his fate on April 10, Weisselberg — dressed down in a windbreaker and face mask — chose not to address the court.
After, officers handcuffed the longtime Trump associate and took him away.
This is Weisselberg's second time being locked up, as he served 100 days in 2023 for dodging $1.7 million in taxes on company perks he received including a rent-free Manhattan apartment and luxury cars.
