A popular Food Network chef was arrested in Kentucky where he's facing some serious allegations.
On Jan. 9, Darnell Ferguson was booked into the Louisville Metro Jail for felony burglary and strangulation. He was also hit with several misdemeanors.

Darnell Ferguson was booked into Kentucky's Louisville Metro Jail shortly before 4 p.m. on Jan. 9.
In addition to his two felony charges, he also faces five misdemeanor charges for assault, menacing, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and theft receipt of stolen credit and debit card.

Jefferson County Family Court shows a protective order was issued against Darnell Ferguson on Jan. 2, Kentucky media outlet the Courier-Journal reported.
In that situation, the man known to many Food Network viewers as "SuperChef" allegedly entered a woman's home without permission. The order alleges that Darnell then started strangling her and threatening to kill her.
It's not clear if the new charges he's facing are connected to the protective order.

As the host of "Superchef Grudge Match," Darnell Ferguson is well known to avid Food Network viewers.
He's often cooked on several of Guy Fieri's programs, such as "Guy's Grocery Games" and "Tournament of Champions."
He's also appeared on cooking shows on the OWN network, and he routinely prepares food on the "Today" show, as seen here.
Darnell had a business venture in Kentucky called "Tha Drippin' Crabs," but it closed its doors in 2022.

On the heels of the January 2024 incidents, Darnell Ferguson's Instagram account has been deactivated.
Food Network has not publicly commented on Darnell's status.
