Luke Combs is "sick" after discovering that he sued a fan and won a $250,000 judgement against her.
Florida resident Nicol Harness saw one of the country music star's concerts last summer and decided to make a few Luke-inspired tumblers and sell them on her Amazon store — something she's done with several other celebrities.
In December 2023, it emerged that the fan was in the hospital for heart failure, and after coming home, she found out that she had not only been sued by Luke in federal court for copyright infringement but that a judge had already ruled against her.
Luke, however, was seemingly unaware of any of this.

Due to a cyber snafu, Nicole Harness never even knew she was being sued for selling Luke Combs "unauthorized merchandise" because she was served via email and the message went to her spam folder.
She lost the case that she never knew about and was ordered to pay the celebrated singer $250,000.
In total, Nicole sold 18 tumblers with Luke's image on them for $20 each.
"It's very stressful," she told WFLA in December 2023. "I don't have money to pay my bills. I just want this resolved."

On Dec. 13, 2023, Luke Combs found out about the situation and was appalled.
"It's 7:27 a.m. here in Tennessee," he said in a direct-to-camera video on Instagram with WFLA footage behind him. "I woke up to use the restroom and the first thing I saw was this. I've spent the last two hours trying to make this right… because I was completely and utterly unaware of this."
The "Fast Car" singer said he employs a company that "goes after folks — only, supposedly, large corporations operating internationally that make millions and millions of dollars … running illegal businesses. And apparently this woman, Nicol [Harness], has somehow gotten wrapped into that and that makes me absolutely sick to my stomach."
He added, "I can't imagine being in her shoes."

Luke Combs managed to get ahold of the woman. While speaking to each other about the lawsuit, she said she had $5,500 "locked" in her Amazon account. He promised to "double that" and shared that he was sending her $11,000 today.
"She was never supposed to be involved in anything like this. No fan should ever have to be involved in anything like this," he said in the video.
Luke also took things one step further…

Taking a page out of his fan's book, Luke Combs decided to start selling official tumblers with his likeness — and he's going to give the proceeds to Nicol Harness to help pay her medical bills.
"Again … I was completely shocked when I saw this this morning," he said in his Instagram video. "This is not something that I would ever do. This is not the kind of person I am. Money is the last thing on my mind, I promise you guys that."
Nicol will also get a chance to meet the "Hurricane" singer.
"I invited Nicole and her family out to a show this year so I can give her a hug and say sorry in person. It makes me sick for anybody to be thinking that I'm this kind of person, because I'm the farthest thing from it," he said.
