Cameron Diaz is speaking out for the first time about claims regarding Jamie Foxx's alleged behavior on the set of "Back in Action."
Earlier in 2023, before Jamie was hospitalized with an undisclosed medical emergency, The Sun claimed he had a "meltdown" and had four crew members fired. As the rumor spread, some outlets reported that Cameron was fed up with Jamie and wanted to quit acting over his alleged tantrum.
"I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time," Cameron told Molly Sims in a December 2023 edition of Molly's "Lipstick on the Rim" podcast. "You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, 'What are you talking about?'"
She went on to recall hearing claims Jamie was "making everything miserable" on the set and that as a result, she would "never make another movie again."

"Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he's just a professional on every level," Cameron Diaz said on a December 2023 episode of Molly Sims' "Lipstick on the Rim" podcast.
Prior to shooting "Back in Action," Cameron made two movies with Jamie Foxx: 1999's "Any Given Sunday" and 2014's "Annie" remake. After the latter project hit theaters, she essentially left showbiz and started a family with her husband, Benji Madden. She also launched a wine business and was happily navigating those roles when Jamie approached her about the Netflix project, inviting her to return to the big screen with a personal phone call (and some encouragement from her sports hero, Tom Brady).
"@iamjamiefoxx only you could get me back in action! I can't frickin wait it's gonna be a blast!" she wrote on Instagram in 2022 after confirming she'd been cast in the flick.
"Jamie is the best," Cameron told Molly. "I love that guy so much. He's such a special person and he's so talented, so much fun."
So what really went down on the set?

Nothing too out of the ordinary happened on the set of "Back in Action," according to Cameron Diaz.
"The hiccups that happened throughout production are the natural kinds of things that happen, but nothing got delayed other than, obviously, toward the end," she explained. "And that's something that is not my place to speak about."
She was referring, of course, to the health scare Jamie suffered in April 2023 that left him unable to walk. Though he has yet to reveal his diagnosis, "Back in Action" and other projects were put on hold or shut down as he fought to recover from the mystery ailment.
In May, Jamie's relatives were photographed visiting him at a rehab facility that specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation. Still, those closest to him kept a lid on any further details.

As months passed and Jamie Foxx slowly resurfaced on social media, in candid photos taken while he was vacationing and in a handful of smaller projects. By October 2023, he was speaking more openly about just how dire his condition had been earlier in the year.
"I've been through something. I've been through some things," he said while accepting an award from the Critics Choice Association.
"It feels good to be here. I cherish every single minute now. It's different," he continued, later telling the crowd, "I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy, because it's tough when you almost … When it's almost over, when you see the tunnel."

Speaking to Molly Sims on a December 2023 episode of the former model's "Lipstick on the Rim" podcast, Cameron Diaz said "Annie" co-star Jamie Foxx is "thriving" today.
"When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He's like, 'Nope. Just let them [talk],'" she continued.
According to Cameron, that classiness colored the way Jamie responded to rumors about their friendship and personal relationship following filming of "Back in Action."
"'We know the truth,'" Cameron recalled Jamie saying about the rumors. "Still, it just really made me angry," she added.
