Saying hi comes at a price! The celebrity message app Cameo allows fans to get personalized short videos and shoutouts from their favorite personalities for a price, and some stars — many of whom you may not suspect — are raking in the dough via the platform.
Ousted New York Congressman George Santos reportedly picked up the tab at a dinner with some fellow Republicans colleagues in December 2023 and he didn't bat an eye at the price. "He is making big bucks on Cameo" making personalized videos for about $600 a pop, a source told Page Six on Dec. 10. In fact, George told pals "he took 140 orders yesterday at $599 per order" for Cameo fan videos. Then again, George doesn't have a great reputation for telling the truth, as he fudged (to put it lightly) his professional and educational history. However, if he is being honest, that means he made $83,860 in just one day via Cameo.
In an interview with CBS New York, he referenced his personalized videos.
"I can tell you that by the end of this week, that is actually factual, I will have made more money in seven days than I would've made in an entire year in Congress," he said.
