So this is how Travis Kelce keeps cooking those defenses.
Eight year ago, the NFL star called up childhood friend Kumar Ferguson with a proposition: Quit your job as a trucker and become my personal chef. Although Kumar had never worked in a professional kitchen, this was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. Within four days, Kumar put his driving gig in the rearview mirror and flew to Missouri, he told Kansas City Magazine.
Since then, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has collected two Super Bowl trophies and snagged a pop star girlfriend. No matter how you slice and dice it, that's a pretty good resume.

Travis Kelce grew up on red meat, which Kumar Ferguson often incorporates into his diet.
"His dad is actually a grill master, so that's where I got filets in our diet," Kumar told Kansas City Magazine, noting that he often spices up meats with untraditional seasonings.
Still, Kumar isn't free from criticism: "Being brothers is funny because we can throw shots at each other all day, but Travis is incredible when it comes to professionalism and just being on top of taking whatever he's investing into," he told the magazine. "The communication has been open from the jump."

Kumar Ferguson isn't the only one cooking for Travis Kelce. During a December 2023 appearance on the "Tobin and Leroy" show, retired NFL star Bernie Kosar said Taylor Swift made cinnamon rolls for her beau before his game against the Chargers in October.
"Taylor is so nice," Bernie said. "She comes in by herself, she's so cool, she brings … she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for a pregame meal."
According to Bernie, who tried one, they "were awesome."
