Jury selection in Donald Trump's hush-money trial began in a New York City courtroom on April 15 and could continue for the next few weeks.
Trump faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to cover up what prosecutors say were reimbursements for a $130,000 hush-money payment former lawyer Michael Cohen allegedly forked over to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
According to reports, a pool of more than 500 randomly selected New Yorkers have been summoned to report for jury duty and are being questioned about whether they can be impartial if they're put on the case involving the former president of the United States.
The court will need 18 jurors to fairly decide the former POTUS's fate — 12 of whom will sit on the jury and six who will be alternates. The judge, prosecutors and defense attorneys will have to work in harmony to determine who is fit for the job, and they'll do so to start via a series of screening questions that range from the mundane to the specific.

1. Without telling us your address, in what neighborhood do you live? For example, Upper East Side, Lower West Side, Inwood, etc. How long have you lived there? Are you a native New Yorker? If not, where did you live previously?
2. What do you do for a living? How long have you been doing that? If you are retired, please tell us what you did before you retired.
