A beer company once touted a man as the "most interesting" person the world. According to Google Trends, that's nonsense, at least when it comes to searches. With the end of the year upon us, the search giant revealed its most-Googled celebrities of 2022, dubbing it the "Year In Search." And — drumroll, please — the most-Googled celebrity of the year was none other than Johnny Depp. The reason isn't too surprising, as his bombshell defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard was all over the headlines. Amber, by the way, was the third most searched celebrity of the year, and the trial verdict was the seventh most searched term of the entire year. Per Google, more people searched "Johnny Depp verdict" than "Texas school shooting."
