Kim Kardashian trolled for trying to sell Yeezy sandals amid Kanye West divorce
Back in January, Kim Kardashian found herself getting trolled on Instagram for sharing photos of herself wearing Yeezy kicks designed by her ex, Kanye West. Now, haters are taking aim at the SKIMS founder for trying to get rid of her collection of Kanye-designed shoes. According to Page Six, Kim's Kardashian Kloset website listed two pairs of black Yeezy sandals, selling one pair with its original packaging for $375 and the other, without the Yeezy box, for $350. "Not Kim out here selling her Yeezy sandals I can't …," a Reddit user reportedly posted after spotting the items. Wrote another: "Selling stuff you've gotten for free when you're already a 'billionaire' is so GROSS." Per Page Six's report on March 21, the original links to both pairs soon turned up error messages, suggesting Kim's team removed them from the site, possibly because of the social media response. The Kardashian Kloset site says the family is "promoting sustainability" by selling "hand-selected" items from the reality stars' closets; it does not indicate any charity benefits from the sales. Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. She was recently declared legally single and is now dating "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez spend hours at $50M Bel Air estate
Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez and Jen's daughter, Emme, spent some over the weekend time at the sprawling estate Ben and Jen are reportedly in the process of buying in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles. Photos published by TMZ on March 21 show Ben taking photos inside the home, for which the couple is believed to have put $50 million in escrow. (The digs were first listed by billionaire Todd Lemkin for $65 million, according to the outlet.) Ben, Jen and Emme, along with a security team, spent upwards of two hours on the property, per TMZ's report. Boasting 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, the nearly 20,000-square foot pad should easily accommodate the couple and their kids. J.Lo shares Emme and her twin brother, Max, with ex, Marc Anthony, while Ben and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, are parents to kids Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. A listing for the home cited by the photo agency Backgrid says the estate also features amenities such as two extra kitchens in addition to the "main show kitchen," plus a home theater and infinity pool.

'DWTS' pro returns to Poland to help Ukrainians escape Russia conflict
Like Ukraine-born Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher, Maks Chmerkovskiy is supporting refugees from his native Ukraine nearly a month into Russia's ongoing invasion. As the "Dancing With the Stars" pro told followers during an Instagram Live post over the weekend, he's now in Warsaw, Poland, "working on tangible ways to help." One of those is Baranova27, a charitable organization for Ukrainian humanitarian aid that People reports was named for the addres in Odessa, Ukraine, where Maks, his brother and their father were born. "We've been working diligently on making Baranova27 something that, as big as it took off, that it can continue that way," Maks said of the fundraiser, which as of March 21 had garnered more than $140,000 to support "families and frontline heroes in Ukraine" with daily living supplies and more. Since Maks was last in Europe a few weeks ago, he said, "[The devastation] didn't not end, or slow down — it got worse in Ukraine." He continued: "I want everybody to understand what that means because everything that happened, happened fast, and it was traumatic and it was worldwide and everything. But right now, it is getting worse. Humanitarian crisis is getting worse. People are getting hurt worse, there are more people hurt and there are more people affected." He went on to explain that Polish "towns are running out of space" to house refugees as they continue to pour into the country. "Currently where I'm at, in Warsaw, the middle of downtown, everywhere you go is Ukrainian. Everybody's a refugee," Maks said. On the same the reality star posted from Poland, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his gratitude to Mila and Ashton, whose GoFundMe recently topped $35 million, including $3 million of the couple's own donations. The stars were "among the first to respond to our grief," the president tweeted. "They have already raised $35 million & are sending it to @flexport & @Airbnb to help 🇺🇦 refugees. Grateful for their support. Impressed by their determination. They inspire the world. #StandWithUkraine." Russia first invaded the sovereign country on Feb. 24. Russia's president Vladimir Putin has been widely condemned by nations around the world for the invasion. According to a March 20 report from the U.N. human rights office (via Reuters), 2,421 civilian casualties, including 925 killed, have been recorded since the war began.

Grammys host Trevor Noah is clarifying remarks he made about Kanye West on "The Daily Show" last week. On Sunday, March 20 — after Kanye was temporarily suspended from Instagram for violating its hate speech policies and barred from performing at the Grammys because of his "concerning online behavior" — Trevor tweeted: "I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye." The rapper's Instagram suspension came after he reportedly posted a racial slur about Trevor following the "Daily Show" host's comments about Kanye's treatment of his ex, Kim Kardashian, and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Trevor pointed to things like Ye's disturbing "Eazy" video, which features a claymation character that looks like the rapper burying alive a character that looks like Pete, and Ye's similarly public and disturbing social media posts about his ex and her beau. The rapper's recent behavior — and Kim's response — "touches on something that is more sensitive and more serious than people would like to admit … I see a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything," Trevor said on the show. "You may not feel sorry for Kim because she's rich and famous, but what she's going through is terrifying to watch. And it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave [a bad relationship]," he added in the segment. Despite being up for five major awards at the April 3 Grammys, Kanye won't be invited to perform at the ceremony, The Blast and other outlets reported over the weekend. A rep for Kanye confirmed the news to Deadline, sending a link to The Blast's story, which noted Grammys show producers considered Kanye's "online behavior" in their decision to bar him from performing.
Rachel Zegler says she wasn't invited to Oscars despite 'West Side Story' nods
"West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler says she was not invited to attend the 2022 Oscars, despite the remake's seven nominations and Rachel's Golden Globe win for her portrayal of Maria. Over the weekend, a fan wrote in Rachel's Instagram comments, "Can't wait to see what you'll be wearing on Oscar night." She replied by telling the person, "i'm not invited so sweatpants and my boyfriend's flannel." As the thread continued, other users chimed in with comments like, "that's immensely bogus" before Rachel jumped back in the conversation. "Idk y'all i have tried it all but it doesn't seem to be happening :')," she wrote. "I will root for west side story from my couch and be proud of the work we so tirelessly did 3 years ago. I hope some last minute miracle occurs and I can celebrate our film in person but hey, that's how it goes sometimes, I guess. Thanks for all the shock and outrage – I'm disappointed too. But That's okay. So proud of our movie." According to CNN, "Nominees receive tickets, as do presenters, with additional tickets given to studios to distribute as they see fit." Rachel is not nominated, but the Steven Spielberg-directed film is up for best picture and best director. Rachel's co-star Ariana DeBose is also nominated for best supporting actress. As of Monday morning, March 21, neither Disney, the parent company of the studio that distributed "West Side Story," nor the Academy had responded to requests for comment from CNN, NBC News and Today.com. Rachel is currently filming another Disney project, too — she plays Snow White in a forthcoming live-action version of the classic film.
Amber Heard lines up Elon Musk, James Franco to testify in Johnny Depp defamation suit
Elon Musk, James Franco and Ellen Barkin will reportedly testify on behalf of Amber Heard when the actress and her ex, Johnny Depp, return to court next month, according to Deadline. Johnny and Amber's current, $100 million legal battle dates back to 2019, when Johnny sued Amber for defamation over a Washington-Post op-ed she'd written the previous year in which she talked about surviving domestic abuse. (She never named Johnny in the piece, but has claimed he physically and verbally attacked her during their marriage; Johnny has denied the allegations, but in 2020, a London court ruled British tabloid The Sun was acting fairly when it published a story branding Johnny "a wife-beater" after the actor sued the outlet for libel.) People reports Amber and her "Pineapple Express" co-star James Franco are friends and notes Amber has previously said she and James have discussed injuries she claimed Johnny gave her during an argument. The actress reportedly dated Elon Musk after splitting from Johnny in 2016. Johnny, meanwhile, is expected to lean on "WandaVision" actor Paul Bettany as a witness in the defamation case. The trial is slated to begin April 11 after multiple delays.
Angela Bassett talks 'Black Panther' sequel, Chadwick Boseman and fighting censorship
Angela Bassett says "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" will wow fans even more than the original film, which hit theaters in 2018. "It's going to be amazing," she told Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on the daytime host's March 21 show. Angela admitted she can't share too many details about the upcoming sequel, but predicted, "It's going to top [the first] one. Can I say that?" Asked about the death of the original installment's star, Chadwick Boseman, Angela praised him in glowing terms. "He was such an example, such a leader, an amazing talent — we all know that," she told Ellen. "Big heart, great intellect, and we just hope to raise his standard." In addition to filming "Black Panther," the actress has been devoting time alongside to her own production company, alongside her husband, Courtney Vance. In an essay published this week by Entertainment Weekly, she explained that the couple's goal in launching Bassett Vance Productions is "paying homage to the influence of our ancestors, and recognizing important and often not-well-known history with roots in the Black community," particularly at a time when book banning and other forms of censorship are becoming more common across the country, in schools and beyond. "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" hits theaters Nov. 11.
Amanda Bynes' Nickelodeon co-stars lend support ahead of conservatorship hearing
Amanda Bynes is due in court on Tuesday, March 22, for a hearing on her request to end the conservatorship she's been under since 2013. When she arrives, she'll have the support of at least two former Nickelodeon castmates, one of whom plans to attend the hearing. "All That" alums Leon Frierson and Christy Knowings tell TMZ they want to support Amanda as the 35-year-old makes a formal push to regain the freedom to manage her own affairs. "If it were me, I would want people to support me," Christy told the outlet. "Amanda's a very different person today from the person she was back then, as we all are," she added, calling Amanda "a sweet person" who she "loved working with." While Christy's schedule won't allow her to attend the actual hearing, Leon will reportedly be there. (He's reportedly discussed some of Amanda's mental health and substance abuse issues on his "Prime Nostalgia" podcast; he and Christy are also collaborating on a reality show about child stars.) Amanda's parents filed for the conservatorship after the actress was placed on a 72-hour mental health evaluation hold in 2013. She has since studied fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and reportedly has her parents' support in her bid to end the conservatorship, which she filed for in February 2022. She's also filed a "capacity declaration" stating that she's of sound mind and making solid progress on managing her bipolar disorder, according to The Blast. As for Leon and Christy's interest in her case, Amanda's lawyer David A. Esquibias tells TMZ his client "appreciates the love and support from her fellow cast members." Amanda appeared on the sketch comedy show, "All That," from 1996 until 2000.
