Alicia Silverstone reacts to Paul Rudd's Sexiest Man Alive crown
It took Cher most of the 1995 movie "Clueless" to figure out that former stepbrother Josh is hot, funny, smart, kind and basically her ideal guy. But that didn't stop Alicia Silverstone from exercising bragging rights in the wake of Paul Rudd's "Sexiest Man Alive" honor from People magazine this week. On Nov. 12, the actress shared a meme on TikTok, using the "Clueless" scene in which her character realizes she's in love with Josh. This time, though, when Cher stops herself and looks up as the realization about Josh dawns on her … Paul's "Sexiest Man Alive" People cover appears above her head. "I mean… Cher's been saying he is a kind of a Baldwin since 1995," she captioned the post.

Meadow Walker reveals she had a tumor removed
Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, is for the first time addressing a medical crisis she endured. On Instagram this week, the 22-year-old model, who lost her dad when she was 15, shared a selfie from a hospital bed, writing, "2 years ago today. I've come a very long way. Bye bye tumor. Blessed & grateful." In the photo, she wears the stickers doctors use for brain scans and surgeries on her head, suggesting it was a brain tumor. Supermodel Christy Turlington was among the celebs who responded with support in the comments, assuring Meadow that she's "Beyond blessed. LOVED." Meadow replied with a "love you" of her own. The post also got some love from Paul's best friend and former "Fast & Furious" co-star Vin Diesel, who shared a praying hands emoji. Vin recently walked Meadow down the aisle when she tied the knot with Louis Thornton-Allan last month.

La La Anthony reveals she had emergency heart surgery
La La Anthony has revealed she underwent emergency heart surgery in June, two years after she was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. In a new interview with Self published on Nov. 12, the 39-year-old MTV alum explains that she was told in 2019 that she suffers from premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), a potentially dangerous heart rhythm issue. "I felt my heart racing all the time, but because it's all I ever really knew, I didn't even know that it was necessarily something wrong," she recalls, adding that she got checked out after she "started feeling it even more — like this fluttering and this racing all the time." She was given an EKG, which showed she was experiencing "about 25 percent more heartbeats over the course of the day" than it should be. Her doctors "were very, very concerned," she continued. "Within a 24-hour period, they said, my heart was beating 30,000 extra beats more than the average person. It was going fast constantly." After failing to take the medication she was prescribed regularly she suddenly became lightheaded and pale, but only went to the hospital after her son begged her to on June 1. She was soon in the operating room for a two-hour emergency surgery. "They would wake me up during the procedure and say, 'We're going to speed your heart up now. Just take deep breaths,'" she recalled. "Those doctors were just so incredible, but it was a terrifying experience."

Taylor Swift's fans skewer Jake Gyllenhaal on Twitter amid 'Red' re-release
They say the internet never forgets — and chances are, Jake Gyllenhaal agrees with that sentiment after his name trended on Twitter with the Nov. 11 release of Taylor Swift's 10-minute long version of "All To Well." Rerecorded and released as part of her "Red (Taylor's Version)" launch, the song tells the story of a rough breakup, long rumored to be inspired by Taylor's split from Jake circa 2010. The new version features all kinds of new details that point even more directly to Jake, not least of which are lines like, "You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine." During their brief, three-month relationship, Taylor turned 21 and Jake was 29 — which also probably explains the lyric, "And I was never good at telling jokes but the punch line goes / I'll get older but your lovers stay my age." On Twitter, Taylor's fans ate up all 10 minutes of the seeming Jake digs, posting memes galore and riffing on anecdotes from the song. "What if you were jake gyllenhaal and you wanted to go to heaven but god said nah remember when you missed taylor swift's 21st birthday party," cracked one user. Another, sharing a photo of someone snoozing on a cloud, wrote, "How Im sleeping tonight knowing I'm not Jake Gyllenhaal's publicist." On the "Tonight" show on Nov. 11, Taylor told Jimmy Fallon she initially recorded the 10-minute version for the 2012 "Red" release, but it was cut down from what she admitted was an "absurd length."

Tom Holland swoons over Zendaya on the 'Gram, says he's 'happy and in love'
Tom Holland couldn't contain his excitement for Zendaya this week after she was honored with the prestigious Icon Award at the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City. "Naaa stop it 😍," Tom captioned a photo of his "Spider-Man" co-star and rumored girlfriend on Instagram on Nov. 11. "An incredible achievement for the most incredible person. Congrats @zendaya and @luxurylaw you guys deserve every bit of this." Though they've avoided commenting on rumors about their alleged romance for years, Zendaya and Tom were spotted sharing a very-non-platonic looking kiss in a car back in July. Multiple gushing social media posts aimed at Zendaya have followed. Finally, the actor recently told Total Film magazine he's currently "very happy and in love," further fueling the seemingly endless rumors about you-know who. Tom and Zendaya return to the big screen as Spidey and MJ in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," on Dec. 17.
Britney Spears is free: What's next?
Britney Spears will no longer need the "#FreeBritney" t-shirt she and her fiance, Sam Asghari, wore on Instagram the night before her big conservatorship hearing — the singer is officially free, as of Nov. 12. "The conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is no longer required," Judge Brenda Penny ruled in the Los Angeles courtroom, terminating the legal arrangement that's controlled the singer's life since 2008. According to the New York Times, Britney, 38, won't have to undergo mental "capacity" evaluations because the conservatorship was technically voluntary. Still, there will be more loose ends to tie up in the coming weeks. Britney's lawyer Mathew Rosengart has said he plans to further investigate her father, Jamie Spears' handling of the singer's nearly $60 million estate. He's also asked for discovery related to allegations Jamie used illegal surveillance to monitor Britney in her own home. Jamie was removed as estate conservator in September, months after Britney accused him "conservatorship abuse." The Times previously reported a separate hearing on Britney's financial matters is scheduled for Dec. 8. In addition to questions about Jamie's estate decisions, the judge is likely to hear a request from Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, to have the singer cover more than $650,000 worth of legal fees Lynne claims to have racked up while trying to "help Britney." "This week is gonna be very interesting for me," Brit shared, then deleted, on Instagram on Nov. 8. "I haven't prayed for something more in my life."
Kanye West says he wants to 'save' his family
Part Two of Kanye West's Revolt TV "Drink Champs" podcast interview has been released and like Part One, it is a doozy. In the second half of the show, reportedly taped in October, Kanye continues calling Kim Kardashian West his "wife," despite her February divorce filing. "But at the end of the day, I ain't got the paperwork yet, so I'ma come on this joint and try to save my family and keep my family together," he says at one point, according to E! News. The rapper and designer also discussed Kim's pursuit of a law degree sans law school, slamming a lawyer she was training with as "an idiot" and suggesting, "there's people who might not want Kim Kardashian to become a lawyer" because she'll inspire teenage girls to want to follow suit. He then implies those "people" are behind Kim having failed failed the "baby bar" twice. Finally, Kanye addresses his mental health. "We all are on the spectrum somewhere. Just only a couple of us went to the hospital or have been diagnosed with medication," he says. "You all not gonna diminish what I'm doing and what God is doing with me in the future by trying to cut my legs off or cut my influence off by calling me crazy. That don't work. They'd be like, 'You need your meds. You're not in your best mental state right now.' No, I know what's going on and I'm not having it. I'm Buffalo Bill," he continues, in part. Kanye's been diagnosed as bipolar but has often said he's off his medication.
Paris Hilton says 'I do' to Carter Reum in custom Oscar de la Renta
With no shortage of fanfare (or TV cameras), Paris Hilton married Carter Reum on Nov. 11 — a date chosen in honor of the bride's favorite time of day. "It's my reminder to make a wish and be open to miracles," she tells Vogue. Paris, 40, walked down the aisle at the former estate of her late grandfather, Barron Hilton, in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles, wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with long, flower-embroidered sleeves. "I wanted something that was timeless, elegant, chic, and iconic, and I am so happy," she gushed. At the reception, Paris and Carter, also 40, partied with famous friends including Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian West and Paris' sister, Nicky Hilton, who served as her maid of honor. It was Paris' fourth engagement — and apparently, the only one that stuck! The three-day long celebration is all headed to the bride's new reality show, "Paris in Love," out now on Peacock.
