Justin and Hailey Bieber reflect on marriage, Justin's mental health struggles
Three years after they said "I do," Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber are opening up about how their relationship survived what Hailey described as "the worst time in [Justin's] life, potentially." The couple reflected on how and why they stayed together through Justin's depression and other mental health struggles in an appearance on the podcast "In Good Faith With Chelsea & Judah Smith," where Justin, 27, explained that after having experienced "so many milestones" and having "traveled the world and seen everywhere in the world," he realized something was off. "I just got to a place where I was lonely, and I just didn't want to do it all alone," he recalled, per ET. "I realized there was some serious healing I needed to go through in order to get to a place where I could be in a healthy, serious relationship because I had a lot of trauma and scars. So I just committed to working on those things and getting healthy." The singer was eventually treated for depression in 2019, less than a year after his wedding. "Luckily, Hailey accepted me as I was," he said. "Even when we got married, there was still a lot of damage and hurt that I still needed to work through, but you've seen my heart through it all." For Hailey, 24, there was no turning back once she and Justin split in 2016 then got back together in 2018. "I was in it. I made a decision," she said. "I know for a fact that I've loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn't do that to him. Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life, potentially. I'm not that type of a person. So I was going to stick it out no matter what the outcome was going to be."

Jazz Jennings says she's gained 100 pounds while struggling with binge eating disorder
Transgender activist Jazz Jennings reveals she's gained 100 pounds as a result of a binge eating disorder in a new trailer for Season 7 of "I Am Jazz." "Two years ago, I was on my way to one of the greatest institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues," says Jazz, who was planning to attend Harvard as the sixth season of her family's TLC show came to an end in 2019. "I started binge eating and I gained weight and more weight and more weight. And now, almost 100 pounds heavier, here I am today." The clip, published by People on Nov. 1, also sees Jazz open up about how her body dysmorphia interferes with her daily life, and how her relatives' comments about her weight affect her. "I do experience fat-shaming from my family. It makes me feel really humiliated," she admits. Jazz, 21, first found herself in the spotlight at age 6, when she spoke to Barbara Walters on "20/20" about identifying as as a transgender girl after being assigned male at birth. The new season of "I Am Jazz" premieres Nov. 30.

Kristy Swanson argues about vax status amid COVID-19 hospitalization
"Buffy the Vampire" alum Kristy Swanson asked for "prayers" from her Twitter followers on Nov. 1, after being hospitalized one day earlier with COVID-19. By the end of the day, however, the conservative star found herself in self-defense mode, responding to posts and reports about her vaccination status. "Prayers for me please. Yesterday I took an ambulance ride to the hospital. I'm still here with pneumonia, I'm on oxygen etc, all covid related of course. I'm in good spirits and in great hands," her first tweet read. She later added that she was "at the tail end of my Covid diagnosis when it jumped into my lungs." Although thousands of fans replied in good faith with likes and retweets, more than a few responded by taking issue with the 51-year-old actress over reports she's opposed to vaccinations. "I pray that you get well enough to apologize to the people taking care of you for adding to their burden by not getting vaccinated," one user wrote. "What do you know about my medical or Covid history?" Kristy replied. She also shared a New York Post headline that referred to her as "Anti-vax 'Obamagate' actor Kristy Swanson," writing, "Fact check: I have never said I am anti-vax." She didn't elaborate or clarify whether she's been vaccinated against COVID-19, but according to MarketWatch, the actress "made attempts to discredit the science of COVID-19 prevention" last year. According to the CDC, unvaccinated people are more than 11 times more likely to die of COVID-19-related causes than those who are fully vaccinated.

Kim Kardashian West arrives in NYC after holding hands with Pete Davidson

Kim Kardashian West was spotted holding hands with Pete Davidson over the weekend as the two took a ride on a roller coaster together at Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California. Three days later, both Kim and Pete are reportedly in the Big Apple. According to Page Six, Kim arrived in New York City on Nov. 1, where she was slated to be honored at WSJ Magazine's annual Innovator Awards after appearing on the publication's recent cover. Pete, meanwhile, was due back in NYC to begin this week's production of "Saturday Night Live." The stars — who shared a jokey kiss during one sketch when Kim hosted "SNL" in October — are both reportedly single.
Harry Styles channels Dorothy and Britney Spears, with support from Olivia Wilde
Decked out in full costume as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" one night and a kind of angelic clown the next, Harry Styles treated some 40,000 fans to a two-night "Harryween Fancy Dress Party" at New York City's Madison Square Garden over Halloween weekend. According to social media reports, each night featured a fun and unexpected encore. Harry and his band, all of whom were "Wizard of Oz" characters on Oct. 30, performed "Over the Rainbow" to close out night one. On night two, they covered Britney Spears' "Toxic" as their finale. The 1D alum also proved his romance with director and actress Olivia Wilde is very much still on. According to E! News, Olivia was spotted at the side of the stage during Harry's first night at the Garden, clad in a Dolly Parton costume.

Mariah Carey kicks off the Christmas season by smashing pumpkins
For some, the day after Halloween is the Day of the Dead. For Mariah Carey, pop's self-professed "Queen of Christmas," it's the kick-off to jingle bell season. Just after midnight on Nov. 1, Mariah shared a video reminding fans of that fact, courtesy of a little pumpkin destruction. The clip shows Mimi walking out of her front door in a red dress while wielding what appears to be a candy cane-striped baseball bat. The camera then shows us three carved pumpkins that together, spell out "It's … Not … Time." Mariah then destroys the "Not" pumpkin while singing, "It's time!" as her single, "All I Want For Christmas is You," plays in the background. The video also features an array of gifts, one of which is marked with the date, Nov. 5, which could be a teaser for another Mariah Christmas special. "It's Time!!!," says a caption on the screen at the end. "To smash that pumpkin and treat it as pie…cause we still gotta get through Thanksgiving!!!" Truth.
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin 'rally' for Halloween as Hilaria worries about Alec's PTSD
As Alec Baldwin navigates the fallout from the "Rust" set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, the actor's wife, Hilaria Baldwin, is keeping an eye on her family's mental health. After Alec discharged a revolver he'd been told contained no live ammunition on the New Mexico set on Oct. 21, killing Halyna and injuring director Joel Souza, he joined Hilaria and their six children in Vermont. "I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna's death," Hilaria told the New York Post over the weekend. "Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD," she added. "You look at what happens to soldiers and police officers when something like this happens, it's traumatic. We just came up here for quiet." On Halloween, Hilaria shared photos of the family dressed up to celebrate. "Parenting through this has been an intense experience, to say the least," she captioned the pics on Instagram. "Today, we rallied to give them a holiday." The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the shooting and has not ruled out the possibility of criminal charges.
Andy Cohen announces 'Real Housewives of Dubai'
On Nov. 1, Andy Cohen revealed he's got a whole new "Real Housewives" in the works. "Our eleventh city," the Bravo producer told Hoda Kotb and Savanna Guthrie on "Today." "We're going to the billionaire's playground, the City of Gold, the desert oasis, 'The Real Housewives of Dubai!'" Andy said the show will be the first international "Real Housewives" to be produced by Bravo — more than a dozen international versions have been made, but they're all produced by different networks — and promised the series will follow "a great group of friends" in the United Arab Emirates' largest city. "This is gonna blow the lid off the entire franchise," he added. According to a statement from Bravo, "The Real Housewives of Dubai" will follow "a group of women navigating their relationships, careers and supremely lavish and ultra-wealthy lifestyles in the United Arab Emirates. With the desert paradise of Dubai as the backdrop, this billionaire's playground is known for its over-the-top opulence, jaw-dropping modern architecture and wild nightlife scene." Variety is already predicting the cast will likely include Caroline Stanbury, who appeared on Bravo's now defunct "Ladies of London" before she moved to Dubai. "The Real Housewives of Dubai" premieres next year.
