Meghan McCain's exit from 'The View' is reportedly causing 'chaos'
The clock is ticking on Meghan McCain's final days at "The View" — and "it's chaos behind the scenes" on the show ahead of her departure, according to a Daily Mail source. "Joy Behar is openly moaning about Meghan leaving as it's finally hit her that sometimes it is better the devil you know," the insider claimed, saying Joy is concerned someone whose views skew further right than Meghan's will be even harder to get along with. The source went on to mention Kimberly Guilfoyle, Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens as possible popular replacement options, though she noted Megyn's Sirius deal might nix her as an option from the outset. "[Kimberly] would be great as she would literally prosecute the other members of the panel every day of the week," the person said, adding that her appearance on the show with boyfriend Donald Trump Jr. made that episode "one of our highest rated … ever." Guest host Ana Navarro, meanwhile, "desperately wants" the job, but isn't likely to be offered the spot because she's not a "Trump Republican," the source predicted. Meghan announced July 1 that she won't return after the current season of "The View" comes to an end this summer in the interest of staying in Washington, D.C., to raise her daughter, Liberty.
Kevin Hart trolls father of seven, Nick Cannon, on billboards across the country in amazing prank
Word to the wise: Kevin Hart can and will out-prank you. On July 22, Kevin hopped on social media to share a photo of a little something he recently bought in honor of his pal, Nick Cannon, who recently welcomed his seventh child … a billboard with Nick's phone number on it. "For any advice on fatherhood? Call my best friend Nick Cannon," reads the massive billboard, which appears to be plastered above a Courtyard Marriott in downtown Los Angeles. Below that, the sign says, "Hey guys! Here's his cell #," followed by a number we're guessing is — or at least was — Nick's actual number. To backtrack, Nick apparently sent Kevin an actual llama for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, joking in the message, "Since I'm having all these new kids, I thought I would bless you with a new one as well. Save the drama for your llama…" After showing off the pet llama Kevin never asked for, the comic said in the caption that he had the digital fatherhood billboards erected in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York City. "Since my brother @nickcannon decided to buy me a lama for my B Day I decided to do something nice for him as well….," he teased. "….if u want any advice on fatherhood please call my BEST FRIEND @nickcannon ….I'm sure his phone has been ringing nonstop 😂😂😂😂😂😂 GOTCHA BACK B—- #PRANKWARS." Among the celebs who were impressed by Kevin's comeback were Snoop Dogg, who wrote "wow" in the comments, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who commented, "oh this is good," and 2 Chainz, who echoed Snoop by responding, "whoa." Your move, Nick!
Reese Witherspoon considers getting bangs a la 'twin' daughter Ava Phillippe
Reese Witherspoon's ready to start taking style cues from her lookalike daughter, Ava Phillippe. The "Morning Show" star, 45, shared a cute selfie with Ava, 21, on the beach from their family's vacation this week on Instagram — and she couldn't help wondering if Ava's new 'do would work for for her, as well. "My girl ❤️," she captioned the pic, adding, "*also: should I get bangs?" The response — at least from Reese's Hollywood pals — was pretty much "yes" all around. "Yes! Get bangs! Also you look like sisters. ❤️," Zooey Deschanel replied in the comments. Courteney Cox weighed in, too, asking, "I mean…why not??🔥," while Elizabeth Banks admitted, "First thing I thought on seeing this – cute bangs." Reese shares Ava and Deacon Phillippe, 17, with her ex, Ryan Phillippe. She and her husband Jim Toth are also parents to Tennessee, 8.

Anna Faris reveals she eloped
It took months for Anna Faris to confirm her engagement to Michael Barrett, despite the large diamond ring that appeared on her left hand in 2019. When it came to her recent wedding, however, it was just a matter of days before she caved and shared the happy news. During a chat with a listener on this week's edition of her "Anna Faris is Unqualified" podcast, the actress heard from a caller who was concerned her new relationship had put distance between her and her friends. "I think we've spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of assessment. But I'm looking around …," Anna began, (via People). She then cut herself off. "My fiancé's right," she said. "He's now my husband. Yes, we eloped … I'm sorry… I just blurted that out," she added. "I couldn't say fiancé anymore." Anna, 44, said she married her 51-year-old cinematographer beau at a courthouse on San Juan Island in Washington state. Anna also indicated it had only been four days since she and Michael tied the knot. (The show aired July 19). "Everything about it just felt right," she shared. The actress, who shares an 8-year-old son with her ex-husband Chris Pratt, reportedly met Michael on the set of "Overboard." They were first linked as a couple in 2017.
Angelina Jolie presents diplomas to newly minted beekeepers in France
Clad in a simple yet elegant white tee and voluminous tan slacks, Angelina Jolie stepped out in Paris this week with her son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, and daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt. The actress, director and U.N. Special Envoy was visiting France to help celebrate the first graduates of her "Women for Bees" project. A joint collaboration with UNESCO, Guerlain and the French Apidology Observatory, the project was designed to support the involvement of women in beekeeping, a business that not only provides work and income for people in rural areas without access to farms but also helps improve food security in many regions of the world, according to Yahoo. On July 21 — again, clad in tan and white — Angelina presented diplomas to the 10 women who completed the program in Provence during the first cycle. "I love to see women reach their full potential," Angelina told the graduates, who now have the skills to become "beekeeping entrepreneurs," per Yahoo. "I know that a woman who is educated educates others. The reason why this sisterhood is so important is because I know that the women who received their diplomas today will be sharing knowledge, will be raising up others around the world." She was later photographed in full beekeeping regalia as she and the trainees handled the bees they'd been caring for.
Eric Clapton will not play shows where vaccine proof is required
With proof of COVID-19 vaccination now required for entry into nightclubs and music venues in England, Eric Clapton has announced he won't perform anywhere that requires inoculation. "Following the PM's announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021, I feel honor bound to make an announcement of my own," the guitarist wrote on film producer Robin Monotti Graziadei's social media accounts this week. "I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present." Back in May, the 76-year-old artist wrote on the same social media accounts that he'd suffered "severe reactions" to the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. He took the second dose, he said, and the reaction was worse. In an interview for Oracle Films (via Guitar.com) in June, he described post-jab symptoms many people experience, like becoming feverish, and said the peripheral neuropathy he has long suffered from was temporarily exacerbated after the shot. In the same interview, he said his children had been "brainwashed" about vaccines and cited misinformation about the vaccines' alleged effect on fertility — a link that's been proven to be false by recent studies of both women and men. The MHRA, which regulates healthcare products in the U.K., has said "fatigue, chills, headache, and joint pain are 'very common,'" according to Rolling Stone. The agency added that it found in some trials, "very rare reports of events associated with inflammation of the nervous system, which may cause numbness, pins and needles, and/or loss of feeling. However, it is not confirmed whether these events were due to the vaccine."
Bruce Springsteen, Barack Obama have teamed up on a new book
Five years after then-President Barack Obama presented music legend Bruce Springsteen with the Presidential Medal Of Freedom, the unlikely duo have become podcast co-hosts, vacation pals and now, co-authors of a new book. The New York Times reports Bruce and Barack have teamed up on a hard copy version of their popular Spotify podcast, "Renegades: Born in the U.S.A." "On the surface, Bruce and I don't have a lot in common," the former president tells the Times. "He's a white guy from a small town in Jersey; I'm a Black guy of mixed race, born in Hawaii, with a childhood that took me around the world. He's a rock 'n' roll icon. I'm a lawyer and politician — not as cool." Due out Oct. 26 Crown, via Penguin Random House, the 320-page book features an intro essay from both Barack and Bruce, plus hundreds of photos and illustrations, along with images of Bruce's handwritten lyrics and speeches delivered by Barack, who describes the book in his intro as part of "our ongoing effort to figure out how it is that we got here, and how we can tell a more unifying story that starts to close the gap between America's ideals and its reality."
'13 Reasons Why' star Tommy Dorfman comes out as trans
Tommy Dorfman, best known for playing Ryan Shaver on "13 Reasons Why," officially came out as a trans woman this week in a new interview with Time. "I view today as a reintroduction to me as a woman, having made a transition medically," Tommy explained. "Coming out is always viewed as this grand reveal, but I was never not out. Today is about clarity: I am a trans woman. The 29-year-old actress, who uses she/her pronouns, said that despite having shared photos on social media throughout her transition, there was public talk about her body that "began to feel overwhelming." In the interest of controlling her "own narrative," she said she realized it made sense to "clarify" that she had transitioned. Looking ahead, the actress anticipates finding more roles like the woman she plays in the upcoming film "Sharp Stick." "I'm thinking about how I can infuse my trans body into film and television. Lena Dunham gave me my first role as a girl last year — it was so exciting and validating," she said of the film. "And personally, it's wild to be 29 and going through puberty again," Tommy added. "Some days I feel like I'm 14."
