Julia Stiles Dishes on Her Costar Favorites
Julia Stiles worked alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names, from the late Heath Ledger's unforgettable charm in 10 Things I Hate About You to Jennifer Lopez's transformative performance in Hustlers. But which costars left her starstruck, and who didn't quite make the cut?During her candid chat with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Stiles opened up about her experiences with notable names from the 2000s and a few acting legends as well.

Julia Roberts
While discussing 2003's Mona Lisa Smile, Stiles praised Julia Roberts for her nurturing demeanor, stating, "She took care of all the girls on that set, in a way she didn't really [have to]."Stiles admired Roberts' ability to balance the pressures of leading a film. "The movie hinged on [Roberts] — she's a huge star; everything was riding on her performance in this movie. And yet she took the time to be really kind and generous to all the young women that were in it," she said.
Angela Bassett
Recalling her collaboration with Angela Bassett in 2008's Gospel Hill, Stiles expressed deep admiration, describing the Black Panther star as "so regal and dignified and just strong."Jennifer Lopez
In her reflections on working with Lopez in 2019's Hustlers, Stiles highlighted Lopez's dedication, stating she was "incredibly hardworking" and "focused."She noted Lopez's ability to fully embody her character, remarking, "I didn't recognize her as Jennifer Lopez the pop star and major actress — I recognized her as the character she was playing."
Heath Ledger
Reflecting on her time with Ledger in 1999's 10 Things I Hate About You, the actress described him as "such a force" who "walked into a room and just lit it up and had so much energy and passion."She also fondly recounted working on the romantic comedy, stating, "10 Things, it was like, fun! And it was [my] first time doing a big studio movie like that, and I love that character so much. We had a great time."
Ledger passed away in NYC at the age of 28 on January 22, 2008, from a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs.
Matt Damon
On her Bourne series costar Matt Damon, she quipped, "Hardworking. Incredibly, incredibly hardworking."Cardi B
Cohen then asked about what it was like to work with hip-hop superstar Cardi B."I didn't have any scenes with her," she curiously replied. "She was on one day and I didn't get to meet her but I love her music."
Joseph Gordon Levitt
As for her other 10 Things castmate Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stiles quickly replied, "Sweetheart and an amazing musician."Cohen then caught the Prince & Me star off-guard by asking, "Personal question, were you dating when you made that movie?"
Stiles: "Oh. Oh man. I'm so happy to talk about this, but I feel like I should ask him first!"
