Orlando Bloom admits his Buddhist chant and brain octane fuel-filled daily routine has made him a 'running joke' with family
Welp, A for honesty, anyway, Orlando … Last week, Orlando Bloom participated in a "Life in the Day," Q&A with the Sunday Times of London. It seems what he revealed is now making waves among his friends and family. To backtrack, Orlando shared that his routine begins with checking his "readiness" via a sleep-tracking app (while fiance Katy Perry sleeps in). It then features highlights like an early "eye-gazing" session with the couple's daughter, Daisy; the consumption of a smoothie made of "green powders … brain octane oil, collagen powder [and] protein"; some focused LEGO car building; and 20 minutes of Buddhist chanting. This week, the British-born California resident shared how all of this was going over with his relatives and pals. "I've been the running joke of my friend groups and family," he admitted on "The Chris Evans Virgin Radio" breakfast show, according to the Daily Mail. "I was asked what my porridge recipe was," he said, seemingly defending his answers. "By the way," Orlando added, "… vanilla in your porridge will take it to the next level."

As vaccinations increase and states begin to open up more than one year into the coronavirus pandemic, Jennifer Garner sees that she's doing just fine in her career — her new film "Yes Day" hit Netflix earlier this month — and her personal life. The mother of three reportedly split from tech exec John Miller last summer and now maintains a friendship and strong co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. So is she craving another trip down the aisle? Maybe not. "I don't know. I'm so far from it. And I don't know that marriage would need to be a part," Jen, 48, tells People in the magazine's April 5 edition (via the Daily Mail). "I mean, I definitely don't think that I'll be single forever. But this is not the time," she says. "I don't need to complicate it; I'm good." In fact, she's more than good. "I've learned that I'm pretty sturdy," she says, looking back on the past year. "I'm OK when I'm in the house by myself. I'm OK when it's just the kids and me. I'm OK when they fall apart," she explains. "I mean, I have my moments," she adds. "But pretty much, I'm really OK."

'Glee' stars set to reunite in honor of Naya Rivera's contributions to the LGBTQ+ community at GLAAD Media Awards
This year marks one full decade since Naya Rivera's "Glee" character, Santana Lopez, came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, an occasion the late actress and singer's former co-stars are set to honor at the 2021 GLAAD Media Awards next month. While some cast members will miss the tribute/"Glee" reunion, ABC News reports Demi Lovato, who played Santana's girlfriend, Dani, will introduce the special segment, which reportedly features Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Ushkowitz, Vanessa Lengies, Jacob Artist, Alex Newell and Becca Tobin. (Notably absent from the announcement is Lea Michele, who came under fire last year amid allegations of bad behavior on the "Glee" set, though she recently welcomed her first child.) Naya, 33, is believed to have drowned during a boating accident last summer while she was on Lake Piru with her young son. Naya was 33. The GLAAD Media Awards are set to be streamed on YouTube on April 8.

Last fall, Drew Barrymore welcomed her ex, Tom Green, on her eponymous show for what she later called a "wild reunion." On Wednesday's edition of "The Drew Barrymore Show," she hosted another, albeit less "wild," reunion with another star she kissed way back when — Sara Gilbert. The pair, both now 46, were co-stars in 1992's "Poison Ivy," and as Sara revealed during the "Drew or False" segment of the show, the two shared a special moment off-camera while shooting the film. Challenged to identify the true factoid of three would-be facts Drew shared about her and Sara's history, "The Talk" alum said, "The true one is C, my first girl kiss was with Drew," adding coyly, "… and now I'm not one to kiss and tell." Warning the host that she was about to "blush," Sara recalled, "Drew was the coolest person I ever met and yeah, that's what happened." By way of backstory, Dre explained they had a kiss scene coming up for the film, "then we started practicing in the trailer … it was kind of fun." Sara clearly agreed. "We had to practice, right? It was really just us doing research," she joked. After Drew reiterated that they "had so much fun" with the task at hand, Sara said she remembered some of Drew's "wild child" moments, like dancing on the hood of the Jeep they used in the film. "I was impressed," Sara said. "I still am." Before they called time on their reunion, Drew asked Sara if she could impart any talk show advice. "You're doing such an amazing job," Sara assured her. "I think it's the perfect job for you because the people who do the best at it are authentic and you are so you. You couldn't really be any other way."

Bobby Brown calls fentanyl epidemic 'out of control' after the drug contributed to his son's death
Bobby Brown and Kim Ward are demanding greater accountability for the suppliers behind the fentanyl epidemic that contributed the death of their son, Bobby Brown Jr., just days before his 28th birthday last fall. "My family continues to mourn my son's death," the New Edition singer told People in a statement Tuesday following the release of autopsy results showing his son died from, "the combined effects of alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl." Bobby added, "Street fentanyl has taken the life of so many people unnecessarily and Bobby Jr. is another victim. This epidemic is out of control and those supplying this lethal drug should be held responsible for the death and destruction that it causes." Kim noted their late son "was not into drugs," but was "often easily influenced." She called his "senseless" death the result of, "… a situation where he associated himself with the wrong people," asserting that those who "contributed" to it "should be held accountable." As of Wednesday, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office was still reviewing "police findings for possible prosecution," People reported. A joint probe is also underway via the LAPD and Drug Enforcement Administration. That investigation could spark criminal federal charges. Fentanyl, which has played a part in the increased overdoses and overdose deaths since the pandemic began, is about 80 times is "hundreds of times more potent than heroin," according to the CDC.

Dame Helen Mirren as a DC Comics movie villain? Yes, please! The legendary actress is set to play Hespera in the superhero universe's upcoming, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods." And as she recently told ET, being part of the project holds a special, personal significance for her and her family. "I am privileged to join the team of incredible artists who join together to create the wonder world of 'Shazam!'" Helen told the outlet. "And it was my stepson's favorite as a kid. We have family photos of him dressed as Shazam from 42 years ago!" Per ET, Hespera, who is not in the comic books but is said to be the god Atlas' daughter, sets her "villainous" sights on "Shazam" himself in the movie. Helen's stepmom to director Taylor Hackford's sons from previous relationbships, actor and bar owner, Rio Hackford, 50, and Sony gaming A&R exec Alex Hackford, 42. "Fury of the Gods" is due out in June 2023.
Taylor Swift and her mom donate $50k to mother of five whose husband died of COVID-19
One of the many American families grieving the loss of a loved one to COVID-19 has a slightly lighter burden to bear, at least financially, thanks to Taylor Swift and her mom. This week, multiple outlets spotted Taylor and her mom's names on a "top donor" line in a GoFundMe page created for Tennessee resident, Vickie Quarles, whose husband died shortly before the holidays after contracting the coronavirus. Vickie's husband, Theodis, passed away after being "rushed to the hospital with breathing difficulties," the fundraiser blurb explained. Vickie, who shared five daughters with Theodis, was reportedly not allowed to visit her husband in his last moments because of pandemic restrictions. Following a $50,000 donation from the singer and her mom, HuffPo reported the fundraiser jumped way past its goal (also $50,000). "Words cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for all of the kind and caring people who have made donations in support of me and my 5 daughters," Vickie later wrote in an update. "I would like to especially say thank you to Andrea and Taylor Swift for your thoughtfulness and generosity from our homestate of Tennessee. I appreciate the sweet personal note, it warmed my heart." She added, "The road ahead will definitely not be the same without Theodis but with each day I am humbled and anchored in hope that I can continue to raise the girls to be as compassionate and caring as all of you. Thank you so very much."
Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen to play Steven Spielberg's mom, uncle in film loosely based on his childhood
Steven Spielberg's next source of inspiration will be his own coming of age story. Deadline reports the award-winning director, 74, is preparing to shoot a movie "based loosely on [his] childhood growing up in Arizona," with Michelle Williams taking on the role of a character inspired by the director's mother, Leah Adler, a witty former concert pianist who famously owned a popular kosher deli in Hollywood and was quoted in the Los Angeles Times circa 1994 as saying she once, "…told Steve, if I'd known how famous he was going to be, I'd have had my uterus bronzed." Seth Rogen has reportedly been cast as Steven's "favorite uncle" in the film, which is being co-written by Steven and playwright Tony Kushner. The project is still untitled but expected to begin shooting this summer ahead of a tentative 2022 release.
