Caitlyn Jenner was "not entirely comfortable" being intimate with ex-wife Kris Jenner
The bombshells Caitlyn Jenner is dropping in her new book, "The Secrets of My Life," are epic. The latest one to emerge comes courtesy of People magazine (via DailyMail.com), which published an excerpt from the memoir in its new issue out April 19. In it, Caitlyn — who famously came out as transgender two years ago — opens up about her sex life with ex-wife Kris and admits she wasn't entirely comfortable being intimate with the Kardashian family matriarch during their lengthy marriage. Sex, she explains, was "imbued" with love. But, she added, "My attitude is no different than it was in high school: I'm just not entirely comfortable with it." She also answered a question she felt many fans would like to ask: How was it early on in their marriage, which produced daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner? "Since — let's not kid ourselves — everyone wants to know, Kris and I have good and frequent sex at the beginning," Caitlyn wrote. In the book, out April 25, Caitlyn also addresses her and Kris's much-publicized differing views on how much Kris knew about Caitlyn's gender issues while they were together. "This will always be a subject of dispute between us. She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn, which obviously means in her mind that she did not know enough," Caitlyn writes.
Victoria Beckham receives OBE from Prince William
It's been a very big week for Victoria Beckham. On April 17, the Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer celebrated her 43rd birthday. Two days later on April 19, she was made an OBE by Prince William during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London. She received the coveted honor — which stands for Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire — in recognition of her long and successful career in the fashion industry as parents Jackie and Tony Adams and husband David Beckham (who received his own OBE 13 years ago when he was a soccer star) looked on. "It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I'm proud to be British, honored and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge," she said afterward, according to MailOnline. "If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things. I'm so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband. Without their love and support, none of this would be possible."
Richard Simmons ventures out in public — in disguise
On the heels of news that exercise legend Richard Simmons checked into a Los Angeles hospital on April 17 to be treated for gastrointestinal issues, it's been claimed that the reclusive star isn't actually as withdrawn as had initially been believed. Richard famously retreated from the spotlight a few years ago and has been so under-the-radar since that reports have repeatedly claimed he's barely left his Hollywood Hills home in three years and that his housekeeper is keeping him prisoner there. But according to TMZ, Richard has been leaving — albeit in disguise. "We're told the disguises are not always elaborate," reports TMZ, "sometimes a hat and street clothes do the trick," though Richard also uses a cane because of a knee injury he suffered years ago. TMZ adds that people see the "Sweatin' to the Oldies" star, who sometimes visits the Beverly Center mall near his home, but just don't notice him. Though Richard has gained some weight, a source added, he still sounds "totally normal."
Kim Kardashian West reveals latest controversial diet secret
Kim Kardashian West has long praised the Atkins Diet for helping her drop weight, most notably after she gave birth to both of her children. Now she's touting another controversial weight-loss method: illness. "The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown," she tweeted on April 18 (via E! Online). Kim is, of course, eager to look her best for the annual Met Ball in New York City coming up on May 1 — an event that has become fashion's biggest night. This year's theme is Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons.
How Carmelo Anthony allegedly justified cheating on wife La La ahead of split
On April 17, TMZ broke the news that New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and his wife, actress La La Anthony, had separated. One day later came another bombshell report, this one alleging that he has a mistress who works at a NYC gentleman's club — and that the woman is more than six months pregnant. Now comes a report from Page Six claiming that the NBA player, who's been haunted by cheating rumors for years, had a way to condone his alleged infidelities. "Melo's tagline was, '[La La's] married, I'm not.' That's how he would justify it," a source told Page Six. "His attitude is that all professional athletes do it, and many of them do. La La has put up with a lot. She knew it was going on, but I guess this time she's had enough." Multiple sources also told the New York Post's gossip column that Carmelo often flirted or hooked up with women when he was on the road despite being married to La La, with whom he shares a 10-year-old son. Though the athlete's rep declined to comment to the Post on the cheating allegations and expectant mistress report, a source close to Carmelo did say this: "The stripper pregnancy rumor is not true. Yes, he's not been perfect, but the baby with a stripper isn't true."
Sutton Foster and husband adopt a baby girl
Tony Award winner and "Younger" star Sutton Foster is a mom! The Broadway actress and husband Ted Griffin, a screenwriter, welcomed their first child via adoption, People reported on April 16. "They are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their daughter Emily Dale Griffin," her rep exclusively told the mag. The baby was born on March 5. Added Sutton: "Our lives are forever changed, and our hearts are exploding." Sutton and Ted have been married since October 2014.
How Alec Baldwin's wife keeps him from acting like a diva
Alec Baldwin can be hard work. Even he can admit that. In a new interview with Gothamist (via Page Six) about redemption, media, politics and Donald Trump, Alec explained how wife Hilaria keeps him from acting like a diva these days. "My wife has a line, it's a wonderful line," he explained. "If I'm whining, kvetching about something, my wife will turn to me and she'll say, 'Nobody feels sorry for Alec Baldwin.' She'll turn literally to anybody on the street corner [and say], 'Do you feel sorry for Alec Baldwin? Anyone? Anyone?'"
Australian actress Nicky Whelan marries former NFL star Kerry Rhodes
Congratulations are in order for Nicky Whelan and Kerry Rhodes. The Australian actress, most famous for her run on soap opera "Neighbours," and the NFL player-turned-actor were married in a lavish ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel on April 15, reports People, which has exclusive photos from the wedding and reception. The bride wore a curve-hugging white lace gown by J'Aton Couture for the nuptials — which were officiated by "Star Trek: The Next Generation" actress Marina Sirtis — while the groom donned a blue tuxedo by Tom James. Celebrity friends on hand to help them celebrate included Brenda Song and AnnaLynne McCord. The couple and their guests also enjoyed a white three-tiered wedding cake from Carlo's Bakery, which is owned by their friend, "Cake Boss" star Buddy Valastro.
