The seventh season of "The Vampire Diaries" concludes on May 13, 2016. To mark the occasion, Wonderwall.com is counting down the CW series' 20 hottest male characters — from witches and werewolves to hybrids, humans and, yes, even vampires. Keep reading to see where your favorite Mystic Falls residents rank on our list!
No. 20: Shaun Sipos as Aaron Whitmore
Shaun Sipos — who resembles a young Brad Pitt, no? — portrayed handsome but tortured Whitmore College student Aaron Whitmore during Season 5 of "The Vampire Diaries."

No. 19: Rick Cosnett as Dr. Wes Maxfield
If you're going to be tortured by a mad scientist, it should be one who looks like Rick Cosnett, whose Dr. Wes Maxfield terrorized the vampires of Whitmore College during the fifth season of "The Vampire Diaries."

No. 18: Charlie Bewley as Galen Vaughn
Charlie Bewley portrayed vampire hunter Galen Vaughn, a ruggedly handsome member of the Brotherhood of the Five, during Season 4 of "The Vampire Diaries."
No. 17: David Alpay as Atticus Shane
Hot for teacher! During the fourth season of "The Vampire Diaries," David Alpay portrayed the mysterious and devious Professor Atticus Shane, who taught Bonnie dark Expression magic.
No. 16: Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan
Blond-haired, blue-eyed, chiseled-jawed nice guy Matt Donovan does not get the credit he deserves on "The Vampire Diaries," and that is a damn shame. Just look at the man! Zach Roerig is a total catch.
No. 15: Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert
Elena's smoking-hot younger brother, Steven R. McQueen's Jeremy Gilbert, left Mystic Falls in early 2015, and we have missed him every day since.
No. 14: Todd Lasance as Julian
Todd Lasance's Julian, the leader of the vampire-witch Heretics, sure made being bad look good!
No. 13: Chris Brochu as Luke Parker
With his light blond hair and bright blue eyes, Chris Brochu's Luke Parker, a witch from the Gemini Coven, sure was dreamy!
No. 12: Joseph Morgan as Klaus Mikaelson
How hot is Joseph Morgan's Klaus? So hot that in spite of the fact that he's murdered some of our favorite characters (Aunt Jenna, hello!), we still tune in each week to watch the villainous original werewolf-vampire hybrid on "The Originals," a spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries." But he's not the only genetically gifted member of the Mikaelson clan…
No. 11: Nathaniel Buzolic as Kol Mikaelson
Long before he wooed Davina Claire on "The Originals," Nathaniel Buzolic's Kol Mikaelson stirred up drama — and raised temperatures! — on "The Vampire Diaries."
No. 10: Daniel Gillies as Elijah Mikaelson
Joseph Morgan's Klaus may be the center of the universe on "The Originals," but let's not forget that his older brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) was the first Original Vampire to grace Mystic Falls with his super-sexy presence. No offense to Klaus and Kol, but Elijah is the hottest Original as far as we're concerned!
No. 9: Matthew Davis as Alaric Saltzman
Bringing smart-AND-sexy history teacher Ric (Matthew Davis) back from the dead was literally the best decision the producers of "The Vampire Diaries" have ever made. Literally. Ever.
No. 8: Taylor Kinney as Mason Lockwood
Lady Gaga's real-life leading man, Taylor Kinney, appeared on the second and third seasons of "The Vampire Diaries" as Tyler Lockwood's hunky werewolf uncle. Speaking of Tyler Lockwood…
No. 7: Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood
With his penchant for violent outbursts, the moody former hybrid werewolf hasn't exactly been our favorite character over the years, which is probably why he's barely popped up on "The Vampire Diaries" in the past two seasons. That's really too bad considering how ridiculously good-looking Michael Trevino happens to be.
No. 6: Michael Malarkey as Enzo St. John
We've never really bought into the whole Enzo thing on "The Vampire Diaries." (Thanks to a flash forward, we're just magically supposed to accept that he and Bonnie are in love? Yeah, whatever.) However, we are ALL about Michael Malarkey and his perfect face.
No. 4: Kendrick Sampson as Jesse
Kendrick Sampson portrayed Caroline's quasi love interest, Whitmore College student Jesse, whom Elena was forced to kill him after just five episodes when he transitioned into a murderous genetically engineered vampire during the fifth season of the show. (We're still not over his tragic death.)
No. 3: Chris Wood as Kai Parker
Has there ever been a hotter fratricidal maniac with magical powers than Chris Wood's Kai Parker? Probably not.
No. 2: Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore
If we were judging based on hair alone, Paul Wesley's Stefan Salvatore would definitely top this list. Unfortunately, the swoon-worthy vampire has some pretty stiff competition in the looks department from his big brother…
No. 1: Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore
Our deepest condolences to Paul Wesley's Stefan Salvatore, but much like Elena Gilbert, our hearts belong to his conflicted older brother, vampire Damon Salvatore. (To be fair, we've had a crush on Ian Somerhalder since his "Lost" days. Nikki Reed is one lucky lady!)
