45 minute ordeal
Anne Heche was trapped in her car for more than 45 minutes while the house surrounding her burned last month. On Thursday, Sept. 1, NBC4 published a timeline of the events of Aug 5, in which Anne crashed her car into a Los Angeles home, setting it ablaze. A week later, Anne died from inhalation and thermal injuries. The new report said firefighters couldn't get to Anne for 20 minutes. Then, it took 20 to get her out of the car. "Given the heavy fire and smoke conditions, it wasn't that you could clearly see into the vehicle or clearly be able to access it," LAFD Deputy Chief Richard Fields said. "Heavy smoke conditions, heavy fire conditions, which makes it very difficult for us to just see each other on the inside of a working structure fire." When Anne was found, she was not in the driver's seat of the car, but rather pushed up against the floorboard in the passenger seat. Recordings show that the first firefighters arrived on scene at 11:01 a.m.. Anne was pulled from the wreckage at 11:49 a.m. "We have one patient in the auto, being assessed, about to be loaded up on the gurney for transport," a firefighter reported over the radio at the time. It took 30 minutes to fight the fire to the point where a rescue could be made, NBC4 said.

Spears family drama
The divide between Britney Spears and her sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15, seems to be growing. Jayden did a sit down interview with Daphne Barak for MailOnline in which he said the pop star favored him over his brother. "I think mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love and I don't think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that," Jayden said. The boy's father, Kevin Federline, recently said that teens were avoiding Britney and were embarrassed over the risqué pictures she's been posting to social media. In fact, the teens have not seen their mother in six months. Speaking for him and his brother, Jayden mentioned that the teens have been through "emotional trauma." His mother has, too, he believes. "It's just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again," he said. Following his comments, Britney unleashed on Instagram. "It saddens me to know [Jayden's] outcry of saying I wasn't up to his expectations as a mother," she wrote. While sending her love to Jayden, she took a shot at him, too. "As for my mental health …my dear child understand you must learn to pick up a book and read one before you resort to even thinking about my intellect sweetheart!!! For the record, intellect and mental health are 2 different things," she said. One other tidbit from the interview that angered Britney was Jayden's support of his grandfather Jamie Spears, who controlled the singer's conservatorship for 13 years. Brit replied, "Psss if you can honestly sit back and say with your sensible brilliant mind what memaw and paw paw did to me was fine and call them not bad people … then yes I have failed as a mother and hopefully that's a chat for you and your father to sit face to face and try to learn WHAT'S GOOD."

"Back" at it
The forecast for today? Pain. Adele revealed that she slipped a disc in her back last year after her then 8-year-old son tried to scare her as she walked out of the bathroom. The prank, which happened in January 2021, left the singer with a slipped L6 disc, located near the tailbone, Elle Magazine reported. Adele has now healed and is preparing to launch her long-delayed Las Vegas residency show. "Words can't explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them," the star wrote on Instagram in July.
Ranting
Stop us if you've heard this, but Kanye West is feuding with ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her family again. During a social media tirade, the rapper aired his grievances, saying he was merely a sperm donor for Kim and implied that Scott Disick, Tristan Thompson and Travis Scott are in the same boat, as they share children with other Kardashian-Jenner family members. In a series of since-deleted Instagram messages, Ye took issue with where his children go to school. After one post in which Ye took shots at Kris Jenner, screenshots (released by Kanye) show Kim text: "From my mom- PLEASE … Tell him to please stop mentioning my name. I'm almost 67 years old and I don't always feel great and this stresses me to no end." Kanye replied, "Y'all don't have so so over my black children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I'm here." He then asked Kim if being "half white" was the reason she gets final say on the children's schooling. Kanye appears to want his children to go to his newly-opened Donda Academy. During the rants, he also said his pornography addiction ruined his family. "Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago," he said. Somewhere in the there he also called out Mark Zuckerberg, Pete Davidson and Charlamagne tha God.
Bet on it
Howard Stern got this one wrong. Very wrong. During a contentious radio interview in 2001, the radio icon bluntly told Freddie Prinze Jr. that his marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar wouldn't last. He even bet the actor $1 million that the two would get divorced within 10 years. On Thursday, Sept. 1, the couple celebrated their 20th anniversary. "@HowardStern I think you owe us," she wrote on Instagram. Freddie, too, trolled the shock jock, posting the radio interview to his Instagram Story. "She will not forget," he said, referring to his wife. He added two laugh-crying emojis.
