Will Poulter is Hollywood's latest hunk. The English former child actor — whom many know from his work in the "Chronicles of Narnia" franchise and as the scrawny kid from 2013's "We're the Millers" — was recently cast as Adam Warlock in 2023's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." He's come a long way since those days of riding around in an RV with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston. Will is now jacked and incredibly handsome, and the Internet is crushing on him. The actor, 28, is being compared to Chris Pine or a Hemsworth brother. Others spoke about his "glow up." "I think that we as a society should talk about how attractive will poulter is," one Twitter user implored. We are, we are.
Farewell "Friend"
Pour a cup out for Gunther. James Michael Tyler, the man who famously played barista Gunther on "Friends," passed away on Oct. 24 after a battle with prostate cancer. He was 59. Following his death, many of the TV show's top names publicly paid tribute to James. "Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed," Jennifer Aniston wrote on Instagram. Courteney Cox added, "The size of gratitude you brought into the room and showed every day on set is the size of the gratitude I hold for having known you." Matt LeBlanc wrote, "We had a lot of laughs buddy. You will be missed. RIP my friend." David Schwimmer said, "James, thank you for playing such a wonderful, unforgettable role in Friends and for being such a big hearted gentleman and all around mensch off screen. You will be missed, buddy."
All options are on the table
Criminal charges have not been ruled out in the Oct. 21 accidental shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico set of Alec Baldwin's Western indie film "Rust." "All options are on the table. … No one has been ruled out at this point," District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies Carmack told reporters on Oct. 27 at a press conference. In that same press conference, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said Halyna was killed from a "live round" shot by Alec from a .45-caliber Colt pistol, the only functioning gun on the set, during a rehearsal scene. The sheriff, who alleged there was "complacency" on the set, confirmed that the firearm was given to Alec by the film's assistant director, Dave Halls. How live ammunition found its way to the set is at the heart of the investigation. "We don't know how those live rounds got there," the DA told CNN. "And I think that that will probably end up being kind of the linchpin for whether a decision is made about charges." Involuntary manslaughter charges could be considered. More than 600 pieces of evidence were recovered from the set including 500 rounds of ammo (some of which were live bullets) and three guns. In an affidavit also filed on Oct. 27, Dave admitted that he didn't thoroughly check the gun before announcing it was a "cold gun" and handing it to Alec. Head armorer Hannah Gutierrez told authorities the gun was locked in a safe while the cast and crew were on a lunch break just before the incident. Several people had access to the safe and its combination, she said. "Hannah advised on the day of the incident, she checked the 'dummies' and ensured they were no 'hot' rounds," the warrant states. She added that "ammo was left on a cart on the set, not secured." Hannah has also been accused of mishandling guns on previous sets, but on Oct. 29, her lawyers released a lengthy statement to Variety that said in part, "She would like to address some untruths that have been told to the media, which have falsely portrayed her and slandered her. Safety is Hannah's number one priority on set. Ultimately this set would never have been compromised if live ammo were not introduced. Hannah has no idea where the live rounds came from." Alec, Hannah and Dave — the three people at the center of the incident — are all cooperating with authorities.
Great gift
It's time to dub Keanu Reeves the nicest guy around. The actor gifted his "John Wick" stuntmen new Rolexes as a thank-you present for their work on the latest installment of the film franchise. According to reports that emerged this week, Keanu presented four men with brand new 2020 Submariners after filming wrapped in Paris on "John Wick 4." The watches seem to be personalized too. The actor also got one for himself. One of the stuntmen on the film, Jeremy Marinas, posted a photo of his watch. The timepieces are all engraved with a message. Jeremy's watch, for instance, reads, "The John Wick Five. Jeremy, Thank You. Keanu JW4. 2021."
Engaged
Chris Harrison gave his proverbial final rose to girlfriend Lauren Zima. The former "The Bachelor" franchise host proposed to the "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent in Napa Valley, he revealed on Instagram on Oct 25. "I love you @laurenzima," he captioned a proposal photo. "The next chapter starts now!" Lauren added on social media, "We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn't know love could be like this. You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, championing me and asking me to marry you. Here's to the next amazing chapter, and all the rest." The couple began dating in 2018.
Home invasion victim
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Dorit Kemsley was reportedly robbed at gunpoint inside her Los Angeles-area home while her two children slept nearby. According to The Daily Mail, three men broke into Dorit's Encino Hills, California, home around 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 by smashing through a door. Two men allegedly walked into her bedroom while she was sleeping, and Dorit horrifyingly woke up to find them standing at the they end of her bed. One man even threatened to kill her. "Don't hurt my babies. Don't kill me. I'm a mother," she reportedly begged. The intruders then ransacked the home and took jewelry and expensive handbags. The men never went into the children's rooms. They got away with about $100,000 worth of valuables, reports claim.
Bad blood no more
Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty's long-standing feud is over. In her new book, "Sorry, Not Sorry," Alyssa said she feels "guilt" over her role in their spat. That bad blood is no longer there, she tells "ET." "I would say we are cordial," she said of the pair's relationship more than two decades later. "You know, I could take responsibility for a lot of our tension that we had. I think a lot of our struggle came from feeling that I was in competition rather than it being that sisterhood that the show was so much about. And I have some guilt about my part in that."
Big split
Ty Herndon, one of the first country music singers to publicly come out as gay, has announced that he and Matt Collum, his boyfriend of more than a decade, have split. "After 11 beautiful years together, I want to let you know that Matt and I have decided to go our separate ways as life partners. However, we are committed to remaining lifelong friends, and I am confident that will be the case," Ty wrote alongside a photo of himself with his former love on Oct. 27. "We appreciate the support Nashville and so many of you have given us over the years and look forward to continuing a close relationship with each other and all of you." The singer, who came out publicly in 2014, added, "The Bible tells us that for everything there is a season. We both are looking forward to this next season of our lives with hope, optimism, and love."
Pregnant and broken up?
Trouble in paradise already? Just six weeks after comedian John Mulaney announced that he and Olivia Munn were expected a child together, speculation emerged questioning if the duo have quietly ended their romance amid "uncertainty." A source told Us Weekly, "This has been an imperfect relationship from the start. Even though Olivia's going to be a wonderful mother and has great support behind her, Olivia's friends just don't see these two being a couple in a year's time." The source is confident that John will be a great parent too. "Olivia and John still have to decide what kind of future they're going to have together, if any. It's a time of uncertainty, for both of them. … [They] are a long way from deciding and locking in what their relationship is going to be going forward." the insider said. "Becoming a mom was always more important to [Olivia] than settling down in a conventional way. She's a real feminist and doesn't need a man by her side 24/7. She never has. She's incredibly picky and John was somebody she definitely wanted to get to know if there was ever a point where they were both single. John is much more of a work in progress than Olivia, but Olivia needed this change to her life. It's been a rough last several years for her where she was stuck in a rut. This changes things up and gives her something to focus on beyond her career and social life."
Father-grandma incident
Family feud alert! On Oct. 28, Zayn Malik denied a TMZ report claiming he "struck" his girlfriend's mother, Yolanda Hadid. Hours later, it emerged that the former One Direction singer not only split from girlfriend Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares 13-month-old daughter Kai, but also quietly pleaded no contest to multiple charges of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda stemming from a Sept. 29 incident that took place on the Pennsylvania farm he shared with the model and their child. Gigi's rep told People in a statement that "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai" and "asks for privacy during this time." Zayn proclaimed his innocence in a statement to TMZ, insisting, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private." According to court documents obtained by People, Zayn was charged with four counts of harassment after an altercation on Sept. 29 in which he allegedly "grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain," the documents state; they further allege that Zayn lobbed insults at the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star and told Gigi to "Strap on some f****** balls and defend your partner against your f****** mother in my house," among other things. Zayn is required to serve 360 days of probation and must complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program.
