Amanda Bynes leaves hospital more than three weeks after being placed on a psychiatric hold, ex-fiancé shares new details
More than three weeks after she was placed on a psychiatric hold that was repeatedly extended, former child star Amanda Bynes was released from a mental health facility in Southern California on April 10, TMZ reported days later. The troubled Nickelodeon star — who on March 19 was found unclothed and alone roaming the streets of downtown Los Angeles, where she waved down a car and informed the driver that she was coming off of a psychotic episode then called police herself to ask for help — is transitioning to outpatient treatment to make sure she stays on the right path, TMZ reported. The "Hairspray" actress, who left Hollywood to attend fashion school and now works in the beauty industry, will live in her own home and focus on maintaining the independence she gained after being released from a nine-year conservatorship in 2022, TMZ added.
On April 12, Amanda's ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, told TMZ that they broke up shortly before her most recent mental health emergency. According to Paul, two weeks before Amanda's most recent hospitalization, "she had disappeared for three days and finally came home with another guy. They argued, she said she didn't care about him anymore and they ended the relationship," TMZ wrote, adding that Paul — who said he was "shocked" by her recent behavior because Amanda had seemed stable, happy and focused on her nail care business — then packed his things and moved out. Paul told the webloid he believes something happened to the star "because when she returned home with the guy, Amanda seemed like a different person [and] a little more than a week later, Amanda was in desperate shape," TMZ wrote.

Princess Kate debuts a shocking nail color
Princess Kate also made headlines for her Easter appearance, making headlines and drawing comments from royal-watchers when she wore bright red nail polish that stood out against her cobalt blue Emmy London clutch as she made her way to the Royal Easter Mattins Service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England, on April 9. According to DailyMail.com, Kate's look was a wild departure for her, as she's previously only worn flesh-toned or pale pink nail polish on her fingernails in public as it's believed there were rules around royals' polish choices during the late Queen Elizabeth II's reign, with the monarch preferring skin-colored shades.

"Friends" and "NYPD Blue" actress ties the knot after meeting her groom on Bumble
Actress Bonnie Somerville married creative director Dave McClain at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in California's Santa Susana Mountains on April 8. The "Friends," "Code Black" and "NYPD Blue" actress — who shared wedding photos with People magazine — revealed that she and Dave met on the Bumble dating app right before coronavirus lockdowns began in 2020.
"I truly was at a place in my life where I was ok with the thought of being alone. After seeing all my friends get married years ago, and have children, and many failed relationships, and bad decisions, I made peace with the fact I might never meet 'the one.' And then I met Dave," Bonnie told the magazine. "When you meet someone later in life, especially in your 40s, you have more appreciation for what that means, I think," the "Blue Bloods" and "The O.C." actress added. "We both had a lot of life we lived. Dave was married before. I just think at our age, at least for me, having gone through a lot in life, I appreciate this more than I would have before. And you are very clear of what you want and need, so there is no wasting time. We both just knew. We got engaged after eight months. It was just easy and right."
