Blake Shelton reveals the song he and Gwen Stefani are planning for their wedding's first dance

After Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani say "I do," they're planning to hit the dance floor with an '80s throwback from the John Hughes' cult classic "Pretty In Pink." Blake revealed the couple's first dance track during a chat with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" on May 19. "What's your first song? Can you tell me?" Jimmy asked, per People. After Blake joked, "I think it's called 'The Wedding March,'" Jimmy pushed a little more. "At the reception, you come out of a fog machine," he cracked, mocking the would-be fanfare. "'Here is Mr. & Mrs. Blake Shelton!' We hear you come out — 'And now, it's time for the couple's first dance' — then what do we hear?" Blake gave in. "It's 'If You Leave' from the 'Pretty In Pink' soundtrack," he said. Pulling up the 1986 O.M.D. song on his phone, he added, "I swear I have it right here. We've talked about this, we both love the song. We're both fans of the '80s, why not, why not?" Jimmy was clearly excited by the idea and sang along with Blake to a few bars. "I love it, if that's for real," he told his guest. "Now I can make it to the wedding, by the way, I'm very available."

Earlier this week, Demi Lovato came out as non-binary on the pop star's "4D with Demi Lovato" podcast, explaining "this best represents the gender fluidity I feel," and announcing they will use they/them pronouns going forward. Demi shares more about their journey to self-understanding in a clip from Bring Change To Mind's upcoming "A Conversation Starter" streaming event. "I had suppressed so much of myself over the years," the 28-year-old tells Glenn Close and Anderson Cooper in a clip from the chat, published by People. "Growing up in the South and being raised Christian, I had these beliefs I had been told. When I came out to L.A., I knew I was queer. But I think that a part of my freedom is acknowledging the queer part of myself," they continue. "Because for so many years I shoved it down and I tried to fit it into a mold of what I thought society wanted from me. And so much freedom in my life today has come from just me living my authentic truth." Demi also shares how her struggles with food and body image have affected their self image over the years. "My eating disorder taught me to make myself smaller. So that I could please the rest of the world," they explain. "And, I realized that I have a loud voice and I'm a performer and me living my truth in front of the world is what's going to make me thrive and happy and so that's what I do. It is a thin line …" Though Demi knows they could "go could go back to that life very quickly," they tell Glenn and Anderson, "I don't want to so I live the loudest, fullest life that I can today. And it's much more colorful in my house because of it!" The Bring Change To Mind virtual event airs May 23.

In the wake of their apparent getaway to Montana, former fiances Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got together again on the West Coast this week. "Jennifer was just in Los Angeles for a couple of days. "She spent time with Ben," a source tells People. "They have kept in touch every day since their Montana trip." Though she owns real estate in Southern California, Jennifer has reportedly been living in her Miami home since she and Alex Rodriguez called off their engagement. "It's a tricky situation since they live so far from each other, but they both seem committed to making things work," the source adds. "Jennifer is doing well. She seems very happy and excited about her future." Jennifer and Ben first started dating back in 2002. They got engaged that year but ultimately nixed the wedding plans, then ended the romance in 2004. They've stayed friends since their split, though, according to multiple outlets, and were reportedly in touch somewhat regularly this spring. Jennifer and Alex, meanwhile, announced last month they'd "realized [they] are better as friends."

Angelina Jolie dishes on being covered in live bees for National Geographic

Angelina Jolie can proudly say her stunt work extends beyond the set of "Those Who Wish Me Dead" and into the world of bees. As in: live bees, buzzing happily while crawling all over her in the name of photojournalism and bee conservation. A spokesperson for the 2021 Women for Bees program, Angelina recently posed for National Geographic in a photo inspired partly by an iconic Richard Avedon shot of a beekeeper. The Nat Geo pic and video features the actress clad in an off-the-shoulder dress as the bees climb around on her. The photo shoot was designed to promote awareness about the current destruction of the global bee population — fun fact, a third of the world's food supply depends on bees to pollinate crops — but it was also dangerous. According to Dan's Instagram, he used a trained beekeeper to "calm" the Italian bees on the set while an entomologist provided a special bee pheromone, which Dan applied to Angelina wherever he "wanted bees to congregate." As she recalled to Nat Geo, "It was so funny to be in hair and makeup and wiping yourself with pheromone. We couldn't shower for three days before, because they told me, 'If you have all these different scents, shampoos and perfumes and things, the bee doesn't know what you are.'" She said her ears and nostrils were also plugged to keep bees out (shudder). "I did have one that got under my dress the entire time. It was like one of those old comedies," Angelina recalled. "I kept feeling it on my knee, on my leg, and then I thought, Oh, this is the worst place to get stung. It's getting really close. It stayed there the entire time we were doing the shoot. And then when I got all the other bees off, I lifted the skirt and he went away."

Tiffany Haddish addresses rumors she could take over for Ellen DeGeneres

Tiffany Haddish is aware of rumors suggesting she could be poised to take over for Ellen DeGeneres when "Ellen" comes to an end next year. But as the comic explained on "The Breakfast Club" this week, she's never been approached by NBC brass about making her occasional fill-in hosting spots permanent. "I haven't commented on it because ain't nobody that give those jobs talk to me about it," she joked on the radio show, according to E! News. "The reason I've even been popping up guest hosting 'Ellen' is because she wanted some days off. I'm learning a new skill. That's it. Y'all just watching me learn in front of everybody." Adding that she's not sure guest-hosting equates to being "groomed" for Ellen's long held role, Tiffany quipped she'd consider taking over "if I could get what Ellen getting." Ellen, who was reportedly earning $50 million a year for her eponymous talk show as of 2017, announced earlier this month she'll sign off from daytime after next season. Tiffany, meanwhile, already has her hands full, with six-plus projects,. "I'm in work mode right now," she told "The Breakfast Club" hosts. "I'm in create mode, opportunity mode for others right now."

Chris Rock on why cancel culture doesn't belong in comedy

Chris Rock seems to agree with Donald Glover when it comes to how cancel culture affects the entertainment industry: Snooze-fest City. Earlier this month, Donald shared a series of tweets in response to a thread between critics who were apparently "tired of reviewing boring stuff (tv & film)." Donald suggested, "We're getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled." On the May 17 edition of "The Breakfast Club," Chris said the same thing's happening in comedy — even though stand-up has a built-in "eject" button that's controlled by the audience. Asked for his thoughts on cancel culture, Chris explained (via Fox), "It's weird when you're a comedian because … when the audience doesn't laugh, we get the message. You don't really have to cancel us because we get the message. They're not laughing. Our feelings hurt," he reasoned. "When we do something and people aren't laughing we, like, we get it." By extension, he said canceling comics is "disrespectful" to the audience. "… What happens is everybody gets safe," he continued, "and when everybody gets safe and nobody tries anything, things get boring." Today, under the grip of cancel culture, Chris said he's seeing "unfunny comedians … unfunny TV shows … unfunny awards shows … unfunny movies — because everybody's scared to make a move." He concluded that kind of fear is "not a place to be" particularly in the U.S. "You know, we should have the right to fail, because failure," he added, "failure is a part of art."

Prince William, Prince Harry respond to evidence Martin Bashir deceived Princess Diana to secure infamous interview

Prince William and Prince Harry have both issued statements about the findings of a BBC investigation into the tactics used by Martin Bashir to get an interview with their mother, Princess Diana in 1985. According to the AP, a report detailing the investigation's findings determined the journalist was guilty of "deceitful behavior," including falsifying bank statements, in his campaign to confirm the TV sit-down. In the interview, Diana said that "there were three of us" in her marriage to Prince Charles, referencing his widely-known relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles, whom he later married. "The interview was a major contribution to making my parents' relationship worse and has since hurt countless others," William said in his official comment. "It brings indescribable sadness to know that the BBC's failures contributed significantly to her fear, paranoia and isolation that I remember from those final years with her." He added that, "the deceitful way the interview was obtained substantially influenced what my mother said" and criticized the BBC for not investigating sooner. Harry's statement expressed concern about "the ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took [Diana's] life." He went on to say, "To those who have taken some form of accountability, thank you for owning it. That is the first step toward justice and truth. Yet what deeply concerns me is that practices like these — and even worse — are still widespread today." Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997 after being chased by paparazzi. She was 36.

Cher announces a biopic is in the works

Cher is getting ready to turn back time on the big screen as she rings in her 75th trip around the sun. On May 19, one night before her birthday, the "Moonstruck" star tweeted that Universal Pictures has a biopic in the works. According to her all-caps laden post, Cher's on board as a co-producer with the team that handled her "Mama Mia!" film adaptation, Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman. "Gary and I are thrilled to be working with Cher again and this time bringing her empowering and true-life odyssey to the big screen," Judy later shared in a press release published by Pitchfork. "One cannot help but be drawn to and inspired by Cher's larger than life talent, fortitude, unique wit, warmth, and vision. Her unparalleled success in music film and tv has inspired generations." Per the birthday girl's tweet, Eric Roth, the screenwriter behind "A Star Is Born" and "Forrest Gump" is handling screenwriting duties. The movie has yet to get a working title.

Jennifer Aniston admits she stole Monica's dress from the set of 'Friends'

Just in case the world needs more proof Jennifer Aniston doesn't age, the "Friends" alum, 52, apparently still fits into a dress she stole from the show's set when it wrapped 17 years ago in 2004. Speaking to People ahead of the upcoming "Friends" reunion special, Jen was asked if she stole anything fun from the set on her last day. Turns out she did take a little something from the costume department — but it wasn't something from her own character, Rachel Green's closet. Instead, she dipped into the clothes worn by Monica Gellar, played by Jen's bestie, Courteney Cox. " I pulled out a dress that Monica wore," Jen admitted. "I still have it and wear [it] to this day and it fits. It's floral with black lace, tiny little flowers, a V-neck and little ruffle cap sleeves." While Courteney said she didn't take anything, joking she was going to quell her regret by stealing something from the reunion set, most of their cast mates admitted they went home with some memorabilia. Lisa Kudrow took Phoebe's rings. And Matt LeBlanc said he stole an "I Love Friends" license plate then stashed it in David Schwimmer's car. "It took him a week to realize," Matt recalled. Though they don't reunite much as a group anymore, the spark still seems to be there for Jen, Courteney, Matt, David and Matthew Perry. "It's funny," Matthew mused. "When we do get together, it's like no time has passed. We pick up right where we left off." The unscripted reunion airs May 27 on HBO Max.
