Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late March 2021, starting with this unexpected duo… In late March, multiple anonymous sources told Deux Moi — an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip — that Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor are an item. (Although the pairing seems dubious, Deux Moi has an impressive track record of breaking news regarding unexpected couplings: They reported on Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley's secret relationship and Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley's burgeoning romance months before major media outlets shared the news.) As for the evidence Pete and Phoebe are dating? Earlier this year, she spent time in New York City, where he lives and works on "Saturday Night Live," and he spent time in the Manchester area, where the "Bridgerton" has lived amid the pandemic. Soon, more evidence emerged: A British teenager told a local newspaper that she spied Pete and Phoebe "holding hands and hugging each other" near her home in Caverswall, Staffordshire. "It looked like they were in a relationship and they seemed happy together," she told StokeonTrentLive.

E! News reported on March 24 that, according to a source, things between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez "are heading in the right direction" following the recent setback in their relationship. "Alex remains committed to working on things with Jennifer," said the source. "It was important to Jennifer that Alex stepped up in a public way and showed his level of commitment to her with a trip to see her while working [in the Dominican Republic]. Jennifer appreciates big gestures like these." The insider went on to say that the former professional baseball player plans to visit the singer-actress "as often as his schedule allows" as she continues working on a movie in the DR for the next few weeks. After that, the duo plan to continue "living together in Florida … while continuing work on their relationship and various joint business projects." Said a second E! source, "[Alex] is making a huge effort to show her that their relationship is his No. 1 priority. … They both realized that spending a lot of time apart wasn't helpful. He had the opportunity in his schedule where he could go and be with her and that's what they both wanted. He was originally supposed to visit every two weeks but he wanted to go sooner and she appreciated that. … They have a lot of work to do, but they are taking steps in the right direction." Echoed a People magazine source, "He is making a big effort, and he wants Jennifer to be happy. … [They are] doing everything they can to prioritize their relationship."

On March 21, Ana de Armas took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of herself wearing a half-heart pendant necklace. It sparked rumors that she and Ben Affleck had reconciled. (During their relationship, which came to an end around the holidays, the Oscar winner frequently sported the same necklace, though it's unclear if he had the other half of the heart or simply borrowed his then-girlfriend's bling.) After the reconciliation buzz took off like wildfire, the "Knives Out" actress returned to her Instagram Story to shut it down. She posted several graphic stickers reading, "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. No. No. I don't think so," along with a peace-sign graphic. She also posted a clip of Marilyn Monroe singing "no" to a swarm of male suitors during a musical number ("Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend") from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." Wrote Ana in the caption, "What she said!"

On March 23, People magazine broke the news that Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon are engaged. The duo briefly split in late 2020 but sparked reconciliation rumors in January. Meanwhile, Page Six reported that on Jan. 20, a judge finally signed off on the former "The Real Housewives of New York City" star's extremely contentious divorce from Jason Hoppy … more than eight years after they first split.
So much for those breakup rumors! On March 19, Kristin Cavallari and Jeff Dye were snapped packing on the PDA in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. (See the photos here.)
The back and forth over the timeline of Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth's breakup continues! On March 19, Page Six reported that sources close to the CouponCabin founder claim he "communicated to her that they were broken up months ago" but that "her perception of when they broke up is clearly different." A Tinsley-friendly source said that her confusion stems from Scott's history of dumping her and then quickly attempting to reconcile: "He would do that and then get back together with her," said the second source. "It was 'we're together,' then 'let's take some space,' then 'we're not together.' A real mind-f***. … This was the type of pattern he would do to her through the four years they were dating and now that she left her career and basically everything for him, she had no choice but to try and make it work and stick it out with him through this unhealthy pattern."
On March 23, The Sun published photos of Lizzo looking cozy with a mystery man while hanging out on the balcony of a mansion in Malibu. (See photos here.) As buzz around her relationship status started growing online, she took to Instagram to make it clear she's still on the market. "Single," she captioned a video of herself showing off her bod.
On March 20, Bella Thorne's boyfriend of two years, Italian singer-actor Benjamin Mascolo, took to Instagram to announce they're engaged. "She said YES," he captioned a slideshow of photos with the former child star showing off her new engagement bling.
On March 19, Saweetie took to Twitter to announce that she and Quavo recently called it quits. She also implied her boyfriend of several years was unfaithful. "I'm single. I've endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don't band aid scars and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women," she wrote. "I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation." The Migos rapper quickly responded on Twitter, writing, "I know you want to make this into a show so I'll play my part just this one time. I don't normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives. … I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best."
TMZ reported on March 17 that Ray J and Princess Love's divorce is officially off … again. In February — the same month he said they "love being together" but need to figure out how to "be good together" — she filed paperwork (which he signed off on) to have their divorce dismissed. Ray most recently filed for divorce in September 2020, but Princess previously filed to legally end their marriage in May 2020. In July 2020, she filed paperwork to have her petition for divorce dismissed.
On March 23 — after Addison Rae referred to Bryce Hall as her "ex-boyfriend" during an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe — multiple media outlets confirmed that the two TikTok stars recently called it quits. According to an Us Weekly source, it was Addison who pulled the plug on their off-and-on relationship: "She feels that he has a lot of growing up to do and that he brings too much drama into her life. They're so on and off though, so don't be surprised if they get back together at some point," said the insider. An E! News source, however, said that Addison and Bryce haven't been together since he was accused of cheating on her in Las Vegas in late February. (He shot down the allegations on March 1, tweeting, "I didn't cheat on Addison.") Meanwhile, an anonymous source told Deux Moi — an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip — that Bryce and Josie Canseco have been "hooking up in front of everyone at parties for the last month." The tipster called it "an interesting play at Los Angeles love" and claimed that Bryce "wants the Internet to think he's still on good terms with Addison" for clout. Josie previously dated Logan Paul and Brody Jenner and was recently linked to G-Eazy following his split from Ashley Benson.
On March 18 — after images of her boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns, allegedly communicating with other women surfaced online — Jordyn Woods took to Twitter to deny he was unfaithful. "People really be praying on your downfall," she wrote. "So crazy how someone can make fake screenshots and send it to blogs and y'all believe it. My relationship is more than solid and I put that on everything. … I normally don't address anything but what you're not gonna do is play with my man's character." She added that her beau "don't even talk like that" and that they know "who is the root of the rumor." Wrote the model-actress, "To the person who started this rumor… WE SEEE YOU SIS.. since you wanna be seen SO BAD. God see you too." Karl-Anthony also addressed the allegations on Twitter, writing, "A lot of goofies out here with photoshop skills. … So I got the baddest girl in the game and you think I'm gonna waste my energy with anyone else?" He added that he and Jordyn are in it for the long haul, writing, "Same haters we got now are gonna be the same ones we have when I put that ring on her finger." On March 18, the Instagram account Gossip of the City shared alleged screenshots of a December 2020 conversation between the professional basketball player and a mystery woman during which they made plans to see each other while Jordyn was out of town.
According to TMZ, Gary Owen's wife of nearly two decades, Kenya Duke, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on March 19. She later implied on Instagram that the stand-up comedian and "Think Like a Man" star cheated with a woman from Dallas who's friends with Claudia Jordan — who's been friends with Gary for years. "[You] should know better — married not separated — married," Kenya captioned a since-deleted Instagram post. She also addressed her estranged husband directly, writing, "All the energy you spent lying, acting and creating a fake narrative for these [women] that want to be me, you could have done it with a veggie burger and a glass of fake filtered water." When Claudia caught wind of Kenya's allegations, she hopped online to set the record straight, claiming in a video (watch a recording here) that she doesn't have a friend from Dallas and has never been aware of any infidelity on Gary's part.
On the March 18 episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which was filmed over the summer of 2020, Scott Disick shed some light on what went wrong in his relationship with Sofia Richie: "[She] explained all the things that made her feel insecure in our relationship and why it was so difficult for her to be in it, and I feel like she likes being the center of attention and she goes, 'In your life, I feel like I'm the last person that gets attention.' … And it's true. And she was super-mature about it and said, 'I just want to be there for you, but how can we figure things out where I feel comfortable?'" he recalled to Khloe Kardashian. He later confirmed mid-2020 reports that Sofia was uncomfortable with his relationship with former longtime love Kourtney Kardashian, with whom he shares three children. "I thought I would give it a try and make her more of a priority, but then even when doing that, I feel like she just started wanting to, like, push Kourtney out," he told Khloe and Kim Kardashian. "[Sofia] was like, 'I don't want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney.' … Then she literally said with an ultimatum, 'You have to choose me or Kourtney.' And I was like, 'But Kourtney is Kourtney and my kids — it's a unit.' And I said, 'How could you even want that for me?' It just became an impossible relationship to keep carrying on with." During other parts of the episode, he acknowledged that he has "an extremely close relationship" with Kourtney and understands that it's "not easy" for other women he dates that he and his ex "see each other, work together and are friends." He said during a confessional, "I realize that Sofia has been an absolute trooper, but the truth is anybody dating somebody is gonna feel neglected when their significant other is spending more time with their ex than with them. … I'm never going to give up my relationship with Kourtney and the co-parenting we have. Nothing in a million years will be worth what we have. And I truthfully believe if the right person were to even come along … us having children and having this amazing relationship would only be a plus to the outsider." Kourtney also addressed the subject during a confessional, saying, "I do think that whoever is in a relationship with either of us will have to understand that it's a positive thing that Scott and I are so close." Kourtney's current beau, Travis Barker, certainly seems to fit that bill! Scott, meanwhile, moved on from Sofia with Amelia Gray Hamlin.
"Entertainment Tonight" reported on March 18 that, according to a source, Lady Gaga is "super in love" with her boyfriend of more than a year, Michael Polansky. "She has been telling her friends that she wants to get through a few projects and then focus on settling down," said the source. "Gaga wants to have children one day and sees a future with Michael."
