On May 31, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Matthew Morrison got the boot from season 17 of "So You Think You Can Dance" because he developed "an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant." Explained the source, "They didn't have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media. She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got FOX involved. He was fired after they did their own investigation." The female contestant and the "Glee" alum — who's been married to Renee Puente since 2014 — "never met up off set," added the insider, noting that the actor simply sent "messages that crossed the line." Echoed an Us Weekly source, "The messages contained sexual innuendos and were flirty to the extent he was overstepping boundaries. He didn't have sex with the contestant, but she complained to producers about him because the messages made her feel uncomfortable and awkward and then they took it to HR." On June 2, Matthew took to Instagram share a video hitting back at the "blatantly untrue statements made anonymously" about his exit from "SYTYCD." If you don't mind, would love to get your number and talk you through some things.' The end. I sent this because this dancer and I both share a mutual respect for a choreographer that I've known for over 20 years, and I was trying to help her get a job as a choreographer on the show."

On June 2, multiple media outlets reported that Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh — the estranged wife of NeNe's boyfriend of less than a year, Nyonisela Sioh — is suing the reality star for $100K for allegedly having an affair with the businessman that ultimately "alienated, estranged and destroyed" the "love and affection" in their marriage. According to Page Six, Malomine says that she and Nyonisela "enjoyed a genuine happy marital relationship" with an "active sexual relationship" until he connected with NeNe and launched into an "uninhibited and adulterous affair" that has since caused her "embarrassment, humiliation and disgrace." Malomine adds that she and Nyonisela officially separated on Dec. 17, 2021 — the same day the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum told The Shade Room that she and Nyonisela were "dating." Malomine and Nyonisela tied the knot in late 2016 but were an item for more than a decade. The Italian pop star soon took to Instagram to share a lengthy note confirming that he and the singer-actress are no longer an item. It's been a truly humbling experience to grow with her on my side," he wrote in part, adding that his ex-fiancé "saved" him by teaching him what "unconditional love means" and helping him feel like he's "actually worth something." Continued the singer, "I am now ready for a new chapter of my life and have complete faith in what is meant to be. … I promised myself I will embrace the pain and the discomfort that comes with such separation from the woman I most love and always will love. … To fall in love is the most beautiful gift we can experience in life, and our story is one of the many that ends every day, leaving space to new beautiful unions and promises between people. Relationships are born and die, just like people, it's the natural cycle of life and I fully accept it. This is by no means a failure on either side, because no real connection is 'wasted' or 'useless.' … It was meant to be, and it was beautiful. I wish only the best to this person and will always be there for her."
