Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrities who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-April 2022, starting with this actress… During an interview with Glamour that debuted online on April 14, Kaley Cuoco said that although she hasn't given up on love following her second divorce, she's over marriage: "I will never get married again," she said. "I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. But I will never get married again. Absolutely not. … But I believe in love because I've had incredible relationships. I know that they're out there. I like being someone's partner and having that companionship. We've all been there where you think, 'Oh my God, I'm never going to meet someone else.' And you do. … I do believe there is someone out there. I love love. I'm not someone that wants to be by myself. I just need to figure out my priorities a little bit and make sure now I know that I need to water that relationship. It's like a plant. Sometimes I get too focused on the garden instead of the specific plant that needs to be watered. And I am well aware of that. I want to change, I want to be better. … I want to have a relationship that I give my time to and that the person feels [like they're] really part of my life. I get so distracted with work, and I want to have that in the future. I know now what I wasn't doing [in previous relationships]. I want to change that. I really know where I've [messed] up, and I don't want to do that again." She also said that she and her second husband, Karl Cook, are not currently in communication: "I think for the time being things are too raw, and knowing his heart — which is bigger than the world — we will be in each other's lives in the future. He's too special. He's too good. And I don't want to lose him completely. He knows that I feel that way. And I know he feels that way. There is deep, deep love there, for sure. And I know that we'll be in each other's lives in the future," she said.

On April 19, Page Six reported that Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were set to tie the knot in Los Angeles on April 22. "They are more in love than ever — and having their first child together last year just strengthened their bond," a source said of the duo, who connected on the set of "Fargo" in 2016 while they were both married to other people. They welcomed son Laurie in June 2020 after divorcing their previous partners. It's unclear when exactly they got engaged. Days later, People magazine confirmed the couple married over the weekend of April 23. "It was a small wedding for family and close friends," a source said. "They had an outdoor ceremony. It was lovely and joyful. The menu was farm-to-table. They are an adorable couple. They are pretty low-key and like their canyon life. They often hike and go to the beach."

Phil Collins made headlines in 2020 when off-and-on love Orianne Cevey dumped him for another man, Thomas Bates, whom she wed within months of her split from the iconic English singer-songwriter. (Phil and Orianne were initially married from 1999 to 2008; they reconciled romantically but never remarried.) In late 2021, following just 15 months of marriage, Orianne filed to divorce Thomas, who's 16 years her junior. On April 18, DailyMail.com shed some light on what went wrong: Newly filed divorce documents reveal Orianne met Thomas on the website Cowboys 4 Angels while he was working as an escort. "Wife selected Husband through the escort service and insisted on dating him. The parties' relationship rapidly progressed into a meaningful romantic relationship. Wife persuaded Husband to leave the escort service to marry her," his legal team claims, adding that although she initially lavished him with expensive gifts, things between them eventually soured — Thomas alleges that his estranged wife physically abused and threatened him. They're now fighting over everything from the home they shared to the expensive gifts she gave him and the $6,500-per-month Aston Martin they leased for him during their marriage.

Timothée Chalamet was the talk of the town during the 2022 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, over the weekend of April 15. Various spies alleged he was seen with everyone from Victoria's Secret model Sarah Talabi, who tagged him in a post on her Instagram Story, to influencer Chantel Jeffries, who's been linked to Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Wilmer Valderrama, Machine Gun Kelly, Diplo and, most recently, Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers. A blurry video taken during an afterparty showed him making out with a mystery woman whom reports later speculated was model Cindy Kimberly. When contacted for comment, Sarah played coy, telling Page Six, "Everyone is asking me if I was kissing Timothée Chalamet at Coachella, and that is a good question. But a great question would be asking our world leaders why the Earth is now losing 1.2 trillion tons of ice each year due to global warming and why climate crisis reform has been completely ineffective. I encourage you to contact your local representatives and ask them that." Well played, Sarah!

On April 14, Page Six reported that, according to a source, Thandiwe Newton and her husband of 23 years, Ol Parker, "have separated." A second source said that the duo "have been struggling for a while" and noted that the filmmaker "has a low-key life." On April 19, the "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" writer-director was snapped leaving his home in London without his wedding ring. The following day, Page Six reported that in the wake of the breakup, the 49-year-old actress has grown close to musician Lonr (real name: Elijah Dias) — who's 23 and just two years older than her eldest child, daughter Ripley. (The New York Post's gossip column stopped short of stating that their relationship is romantic in nature.) Said Lonr when asked for comment, "From the relatively short time I've been fortunate to spend with her, I know Thandiwe and Oliver care deeply about the welfare of their children. That's all I care about right now."

Jennifer Garner and her off-and-on boyfriend of several years, John Miller, took a major step forward in their relationship when the actress celebrated her 50th birthday with a food drive in the Los Angeles area on April 16: "John's kids finally met Jen's kids," a source told Us Weekly, adding that "lots of kids and family were invited, including John's kids, his parents, his brother and his [brother's] wife." John shares two children with ex-wife Caroline Campbell while Jen shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck. "They all had friends there. It was casual and easy," noted the insider. Late last year, the mother of three sparked rumors that she and John had gotten engaged … which she naturally refused to acknowledge.

On the April 18 episode of Andy Cohen's "Radio Andy" show, Lizzo revealed that she has a serious boyfriend — the same masked mystery man with whom she was snapped holding hands during a Valentine's Day dinner date in West Hollywood earlier this year. (She's keeping his identity publicly under wraps for now.) When asked if her celebrity status negatively affects her love life, the Grammy winner replied, "If you have the right person, no, not at all. It is not even a factor. It should be mutually supportive no matter what that person does."

During an interview with WSJ. Magazine that debuted online on April 20, Joe Alwyn skillfully sidestepped long-standing rumors that he and Taylor Swift are secretly engaged. "If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins. … I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say," he said.

On April 14, fashion influencer Louis Pisano tweeted that Rihanna dumped A$AP Rocky "after she caught him cheating" with Fenty footwear designer Amina Muaddi. "ASAP and Amina is not new, though, as she was seeing him years ago and also collaborated with him on a collection of shoes," Louis further alleged. The following day, after the tweet went viral, Amina took to her Instagram Story to set the record straight: "I've always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn't deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile. I initially assumed that this fake gossip — fabricated with such malicious intent — would not be taken seriously. However, in the last 24 hours, I've been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off limits. Not even during what should be one of the most beautiful and celebrated times in one's life. Therefore I have to speak up as this is not only directed towards me, but it is related to people I have a great amount of respect and affection for. While Rih is continuing to live her serene, best dressed pregnancy life and I go back to my business, I wish everyone a beautiful Easter weekend," she wrote. Meanwhile, TMZ reported that, according to its sources, the cheating and breakup rumors were "100% false on both counts" and "1 million percent not true." One source insisted that Rihanna and A$AP, who are expecting their first child together, are "fine." The power couple looked more than fine when they arrived in Rihanna's native Barbados on April 15 for a brief vacation. That same day, Louis tweeted an apology to the duo for causing so much "unnecessary drama." Then on April 17, Amina was snapped holding hands with her rumored boyfriend, French comedian Fary Lopes, in Paris. (See pictures here.) It's unclear how long they've been an item, though they were also snapped holding hands in Paris in July 2021 (pictured). Sadly, that wasn't the end of the drama: On April 20 — as he and Rihanna made their return to Los Angeles from Barbados — A$AP was arrested for allegedly non-fatally shooting an acquaintance in late 2021. The expectant mom is reportedly standing by her man in the wake of his arrest. "This drama is the last thing Rihanna needs right now. She wants to be mellow, relaxed and focused 100% on the arrival of her baby — not stressing out," said an "Entertainment Tonight" source.

Can't say we didn't see this one coming… On April 20, Sofia Richie took to Instagram to announce that she and her boyfriend of just a year, Elliot Grainge, are engaged. "Forever isn't long enough," she captioned a slideshow of photos depicting the proposal at Hawaii's Four Seasons Hualalai and showing off her new engagement ring. "She said yes," Elliot captioned a different PDA-packed pic.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that debuted online on April 15, Natasha Lyonne confirmed rumors that she and Fred Armisen recently called it quits following eight years of coupledom. When asked if she's currently based in Los Angeles, the "Russian Doll" star replied, "I'm not. I had been living there with Fred during COVID. I honestly think we broke up because I wanted a swimming pool. We love each other just about as much as two people can love each other and we're still talking all the time, but Freddy doesn't like a swimming pool. It might seem like a mundane reason for a breakup, but during that pandemic, you've got to get your laps."

On April 18 — a month after The Sun reported that Jessie J had started seeing professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman — the pair were snapped kissing while out for lunch in the Los Angeles area, confirming the rumors about the nature of their relationship. (See photos here.) The Grammy nominee revealed in October 2021 that she'd split from her last boyfriend, Max Pham.

On April 19, Bravo's The Daily Dish published a lengthy statement from "The Real Housewives of Potomac" star Ashley Darby announcing that she and husband Michael Darby are separating: "Almost eight years ago, when Michael and I said 'I do,' we anticipated sharing every single day together from that moment forward. Unfortunately, that is not our current reality. We have decided to separate. People will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences. Pieces of all these may have affected our pure love for each other, but no one reason is the root cause of our mutual decision to go our separate ways. We are now both at very different stages in our lives and have different goals for our futures. We both want the other to achieve true happiness and fulfillment and feel that we cannot do this together. While our romantic bond is broken, we will always love and respect each other. We also know that true happiness can only be achieved by continuing to work together and putting our hearts and souls into raising our two beautiful boys, Dean and Dylan. They will always feel loved and supported, for they were truly created out of love. As this is a personal matter for us, we appreciate everyone who has been a part of our journey and ask for your continued support by respecting us as we go through this emotional situation," she said. Ashley and Michael, who's three decades her senior, previously weathered rumors he was unfaithful, as well as a sexual assault scandal. According to a People magazine source, Michael moved out of the home he shared with Ashley "a while ago." Explained the insider, "They've been having serious problems for about a year now. There's been a visceral disconnect between them as a couple. For Ashley, the inconsistencies within the relationship and trust issues led to the split." She's even ready to start dating again: "She considers herself single and has been asking to be set up on dates. … She's been done and is clearly ready to move on," said the source.

Chanel Iman is moving on from Sterling Shepard with a different professional football player: New England Patriots tackle Davon Godchaux. On April 17, she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and the NFL star packing on the PDA at a Coachella party. Davon, meanwhile, captioned a slideshow of sweet shots with the model, "Mines." It's unclear how long they've been an item, but Sterling quietly filed to divorce Chanel in June 2021 following four years of marriage and two kids together.

During an interview with E! News that debuted online on April 15, "Phil of the Future" alum Raviv Ullman revealed that he got engaged to "insanely talented animator" Julia Pott — who's worked on shows like "Adventure Time" and "Summer Camp Island" — sometime within "the past year and a half or so." Said the former child star, "We met, like every good millennial, on an app. … I'm just smitten. We have a cute little house together in Los Angeles and we're figuring it out as we go. A couple crazy artists just trying to make some cool stuff."

On April 20, DailyMail.com broke the news that Sasha Obama is dating commercial director and former college basketball star Clifton Powell Jr. — the son of "Ray" actor Clifton Powell. It's believed they connected sometime after Sasha moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2021 to study at the University of Southern California.

On the April 19 episode of "The Kyle & Jackie O Show," Cody Simpson opened up about his breakup from Miley Cyrus in the summer of 2020 following about a year of coupledom: "It was kind of a mutual decision between us, knowing that we were going in different directions in our life," said the Australian singer and competitive swimmer. "I had just started training [for the Olympic swimming trials] at that point. So my life was changing a lot and I knew I was going to have to move back to Australia to do it properly and professionally, and she was just going into her whole new album and was gonna be going out on tour and doing all that stuff. So it was a fork-in-the-road kind of scenario, really. [It's] a no-hard-feelings kind of thing. We were in different places. We had a great, amazing year together and everything. We lived together during all the COVID lockdown stuff. We had a lot of fun. … It was circumstance, really." Cody moved on with model Marloes Stevens after he and Miley called it quits. The singer-actress, meanwhile, has been dating Liily drummer Maxx Morando since late 2021. On April 14, they were snapped sharing a passionate smooch in West Hollywood. (See photos here.)

According to People magazine, Southerland's Matt Chase got engaged to his girlfriend of nearly two years, Abbie Beineman, at The Inn at Carnall Hall in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on April 15. "This is cliché and a little cheesy to say, but it truly was 'when you know, you know.' I think that night we knew it was going to be a forever kinda thing," the country music star and the bride-to-be said of the night they met through a mutual friend at a Halloween party. "We're really looking forward to taking on life together and living each day to the fullest. We have so much to look forward to and are so thankful for our friends and family that have been by our side since the beginning. Excited to see what is to come!" they added.
