Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late December 2020 and early January 2021, starting with a headline-making trio… On Jan. 2, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde — who directs the "Watermelon Sugar" singer in the upcoming thriller "Don't Worry Darling" — were photographed holding hands at a wedding in Montecito, California. (See photos here.) The pop star reportedly officiated his manager's extremely intimate nuptials and brought along the "Booksmart" director — who's 10 years his senior — as his date. After the pictures hit the Internet, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Harry and Olivia have been dating "for a few weeks" now. A Page Six source added that the pair fell for each other on the set of "Don't Worry Darling" in late 2020 and that their relationship is still "very new." Due to restrictions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, "they were able to be alone and keep their relationship very secret," said the source, noting that "everyone was really surprised — and rather delighted — when Harry brought Olivia as his date to the wedding and introduced her as his girlfriend." As for their 10-year age difference, "Harry doesn't [care] about that sort of thing," said the Page Six insider. "They seem really happy together. He was openly holding hands and kissing [her]." Meanwhile, an Us Weekly source said that Harry and Olivia "had chemistry almost instantaneously on set" and that "it was only a matter of time before they got together." And an "Entertainment Tonight" source described the romance as "very organic" and noted that Olivia "wouldn't let a romantic relationship get in the way of a professional one," so any moves with Harry are being made "thoughtfully." As for her recent ex, Jason Sudeikis…

"Entertainment Tonight" reported on Jan. 4 that, according to a source, although the world only learned about their breakup in November, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis actually "split almost a year ago." Said the source of her new relationship with Harry Styles, "It's not like she's rushing into something. … Olivia and Jason talk all the time and are still close because of [their two] kids. It's highly unlikely he was blindsided by this [Harry] news." However, an insider told People magazine on Jan. 8 that Olivia and Jason "were very much together as recently as this fall" and that "Jason feels that the timeline that Olivia and Harry would like people to believe — that she and Jason split ages ago, long before she became involved with Harry — is simply not accurate." According to People's insider, "She began filming ['Don't Worry Darling'] in September, and by October, [Jason] began to get the impression that she wanted out. By November, they'd announced their split. … That's how quickly it happened, and none of it happened until she began filming with Harry."

On Jan. 5, Page Six broke the news that "divorce is imminent" for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, who's reportedly hired famed divorce attorney Laura Wasser to represent her as she and her estranged hubby hash out their division of assets. "They are keeping it low-key, but they are done. … They are in settlement talks," said one source. "Kim got Kanye to go [to his ranch in Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She's done." The insider went on to say that Kim is ending the marriage now because she's "grown up a lot" recently. Explained the source, "She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy [stuff], and she's just had enough of it." As for Kanye, a second source said the rapper "is completely over the entire [Kardashian] family" and "wants nothing to do with them" because he now finds their reality show "unbearable." Added the second insider, "This isn't the first time they've been talking about a split, but this time it is way, way more serious." In the days that followed, multiple media outlets shared their two cents on the potential breakup…

Us Weekly's sources had a lot to say about Kim Kardashian West's potential divorce from Kanye West… According to one source, the duo have been "living separate lives for many months now" and "haven't been on the same page for a while." Explained the source, "Kanye isn't as focused [as Kim is on work] and doesn't live in the real world. Their world views no longer line up. … Kim is done dealing with Kanye's unpredictable behavior. She has tried to get him into treatment for his mental health and all attempts have been unsuccessful. No one can tell Kanye what to do other than Kanye." The first Us Weekly source added that Kim's friends "are surprised she has waited this long to file for divorce." A second Us Weekly source agreed that it was "only a matter of time" before Kim threw in the towel. "She didn't just walk away," said the second source, noting that controversial comments Kanye made about their children during a headline-making July 2020 political rally "were the final confirmation" their union was doomed. Still, a third Us Weekly source pointed to a more recent incident, noting that things between Kim and Kanye "don't seem to have healed" since "they had a big fight in early December" when "Kanye blew up at Kim and she was really upset." A fourth Us Weekly source, meanwhile, alleged that Kanye is "jealous" of his wife's other commitments and disappointed she's not on board with his plan to move their family to Wyoming. "It's where he sees this direction of his life going. Kim just doesn't see their lives full-time in Wyoming," explained the insider. A fifth Us Weekly source said Kim wants "the settlement finalized before formally filing" for divorce. (That insider also alleged that the pair did not spend the holidays together.) "Settlement talks are ongoing. Kim wants to control the PR campaign of the divorce and she was blindsided by leaks about the divorce reports," said the source. And yet another Us Weekly source claimed that Kim "wanted to make [the marriage] work" for the sake of the four kids she shares with Kanye. An E! News source echoed that they "haven't spent time together as a married couple in months" but have yet to end their marriage because of their children: "It's not about the marriage anymore. She'll always care for Kanye, but it's over between them. Kim is only focused on what's best for the kids. It's a tough decision for her and she's figuring it out," said the insider. But not every media outlet is convinced Kim and Kanye will actually divorce…
One People magazine source said Kanye West knows his wife Kim Kardashian West is "done" with their marriage. "She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future," said the source. "He's OK. He's sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it's coming soon." But a second People magazine source said the mother of four is still "waffling" on filing for divorce. TMZ's sources agreed that although Kim was ready to end the marriage when Kanye was in the deepest throes of his mid-2020 bipolar episode, "no final decision has been made" regarding the marriage as the duo seeks help via couples counseling. "The subject of divorce was discussed months ago, but Kim never gave the green light to file," writes the webloid, noting that Kim has had famed divorce attorney Laura Wasser "on retainer for years for various reasons" and plans to put her issues with Kanye "front and center" now that the holidays are over. (According to TMZ, Kim and Kanye spent Christmas together as a family and lavished each other with expensive gifts — even a lone Us Weekly source admitted on Jan. 6 that Kim and Kanye "are in counseling" and "trying to work on their relationship.") "Their issues have been neither contentious nor ugly, but they do have lots of differences … from lifestyle to politics. They are, however, fully aligned on parenting," TMZ reports before making it clear "there is no third party" involved in the potential breakup. Which brings us to the cheating rumors…
Amid reports Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are divorcing, the Internet erupted with unsubstantiated rumors claiming she's already moved on with longtime friend and colleague Van Jones — who announced his split from wife Jana Carter in September 2018. On the other end of the Internet, rumors started running wild that Kanye had an affair with Jeffree Star. The rumors kicked off when self-professed clout chaser Ava Louise claimed on TikTok that Kanye's "been hooking up with a very famous male beauty guru." Said the social media star, whose word should definitely be taken with a hefty grain of salt, "A lot of people in the scene have known for a while." She added that she's known about the alleged tea "for months" and promised that her source is "legit." Fans quickly pointed the finger at Jeffree. The evidence? Like Kanye, he owns property in Wyoming. And that's about it. On Jan. 6, the beauty mogul made light of the rumors on Instagram, captioning a slideshow of photos of himself, "I'm ready for Sunday Service." Later that day, on the Jan. 6 episode of the "Drama Alert" podcast, Ava Louise doubled down on her claims, revealing that her source is a lawyer friend who allegedly overheard a meeting during which Kim revealed that "Kanye was hooking up with guys" while discussing their plans to divorce. Ava Louise then claimed Kim specifically named Jeffree. Later in the podcast, Ava Louise implied that her pal Cole Carrigan has also been intimate with Kanye. When the podcast host reached out to the makeup influencer to ask about his alleged sexual history with Kanye, he replied, "And y'all wondered why I was in Wyoming in August." Jeffree, meanwhile, responded by saying simply that he's in Wyoming. The following day, however, he denied the rumors in a YouTube video, insisting that he's single and has "never hung out" with Kanye. … Of course, it's entirely possible everyone involved in the scandal is simply chasing clout!
On Jan. 7, People magazine broke the news that Shia LaBeouf's whirlwind romance with Margaret Qualley had come to an end. "They broke up on Saturday [Jan. 2]. They're just in different places in their lives," said one source, while another insider implied that the "backlash" the actress received — for dating the troubled former child star after ex FKA Twigs in December filed a lawsuit accusing Shia of sexual battery and assault — played a role in the split. The previous week, an Us Weekly source said that Margaret was "totally smitten" with Shia and "trusts he's not the bad guy people say he is." The insider added that the starlet's mother, actress Andie MacDowell, was "keeping an extremely close watch on the situation." Said the source, "If Shia so much as puts a foot out of line, she'll come down on him like a ton of bricks."
On Dec. 22, Khloe Kardashian was snapped rocking an enormous diamond sparkler during an outing in Boston with her back-on beau, Tristan Thompson, and their daughter, True, sparking rumors they'd gotten engaged. (See it here.) On Jan. 5, however, "Entertainment Tonight" reported that, according to a source, the off-and-on duo "aren't engaged and it wouldn't make sense for an engagement to happen right now" because the reality star has to go "back and forth between Los Angeles and Boston" due to Tristan's recent deal with the Celtics. "They're doing well as a couple and continuing to focus on raising True together and be the best parents that they can be as always," added the source.
On Jan. 2, People magazine broke the news that Zoe Kravitz filed to divorce her husband of just 18 months, Karl Glusman, on Dec. 23. (Her rep later confirmed the split.) In the wake of the breakup, there were whispers online that the "Big Little Lies" actress has moved on with Channing Tatum. But People magazine debunked those rumors on Jan. 4. "They're working together on an upcoming project and it's not true that they're dating," said a source of Zoe and the "Magic Mike" star.
On Jan. 2, Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess were snapped kissing and holding hands while taking a dip at a beach in Hawaii, confirming recent reports they're an item. (See photos here.) The duo first sparked romance rumors when they were photographed together at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Dec. 25 (see those photos here) and later shared posts from what appeared to be the same resort in Hawaii on their respective social media feeds. (Oddly, they're vacationing at the same resort where Brian married his estranged wife, Megan Fox, in 2010.) According to a People magazine source, the former teen heartthrob and the "Dancing With the Stars" pro have been "casually dating" and "having a good time" together "for a few weeks." In early December, Sharna revealed she was seeing someone new, joking to Us Weekly, "How funny would it be if I actually found the love of my life during a pandemic?" At the time, she noted that things were still casual: "No one's calling us a relationship yet," she admitted.
On Jan. 5, artist Romero Britto took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of Bethenny Frankel and her ex-boyfriend, Paul Bernon, holding hands during a visit to his Miami studio with her daughter, Bryn Hoppy. The artist also shared a video in which the former the "Real Housewives of New York City" star could be seen sitting in Paul's lap. Bethenny has yet to comment on the status of her relationship with the real estate exec, from whom she split in late 2020.
In other "Housewives" reconciliation news… During an interview with People magazine that debuted online on Dec. 30, Meredith Marks said that she and her husband of nearly 25 years, Seth Marks, have reconciled following the brief separation that was depicted on the debut season of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" in late 2020. "We love each other. He's my best friend and he always will be," she said. "We decided to try and start over. We just hit some blips in the road and needed to regroup and reconnect. … While we have had many other separations in the past and at times dated other people, last winter during filming [in early 2020] we were not dating other people and we very focused to see if we could repair our relationship." With the help of therapy, they now feel "very strong, very united" and "very positive" about their future together, said the mother of three. "It sounds crazy, but 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' saved my marriage," she added. "The show really forces you to be very introspective and really think about the things you say and how they impact other people. … I'm probably the only one on this earth who can honestly say that 'Real Housewives' coupled with COVID saved my marriage. … We were really quarantined and together, and reevaluating what's important, what you care about. And we were spending all this time together, which we realized we really wanted to be together, we enjoyed spending time together." On Dec. 31, Meredith told Us Weekly of her separation from Seth, "We always have loved each other — that was never the issue. It was just we were completely disconnected, and it was like a wake-up call. It was like, 'Wait a second, I better really make the effort and put in the time.'" As for what makes this separation different, "Number one, we've been through intense therapy individually and with a marriage counselor, and in the past when we tried marriage counseling, we never really got past a few sessions," said the reality star. "One of us would walk out in a fit of anger and end it. So we really made the efforts to put in the work, to kind of reprogram ourselves to communicate differently. … We worked so much on ourselves individually and together and we are actually connected and communicating, whereas in the past it was just angry jabs at each other." Meredith concluded by insisting that she and Seth "are not doing a vow renewal," pointing to the "Housewives" franchise's long tradition of cursed vow renewal ceremonies.
MESSY. During a Dec. 22 interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Gleb Savchenko denied estranged wife Elena Samodanova's allegations that he was unfaithful, insisting that they hadn't lived together since July and that there'd been "a different, very weird vibe" between them since at least March. He also accused Elena of "constantly" lying to him and implied that she was the one who actually strayed from the marriage, saying he had "a gut feeling" something was going on between her and her new beau, Vlad Kvartin, long before they were snapped kissing in Mexico in late December. Gleb claims that after Elena and Vlad grew close while shooting the Russian version of "Dancing With the Stars," he told her, "We don't really work, let's figure something out." Alleged Gleb, "We've had problems for years. I was in a mentally abusive, jealous relationship. I always said to myself, 'Listen, she's the mother of your kids, and you love her, just make it work for your kids.'" He went on to attribute Elena's alleged jealousy issues to his "Dancing With the Stars" fame — they originally auditioned for the show together but only he booked the gig — and griped that she took credit for choreographing his routines. He then accused Elena of masterminding the rumors he and his "DWTS" partner Chrishell Stause were having an affair. "I've never actually cheated on her. Never, ever, ever. This whole thing, it was her trying to set it up," he claimed, adding that he "felt down" and "miserable" and ultimately "lost confidence" amid his attempts to make the marriage work. "Elena told me, 'After this divorce, I'm gonna skin you. I'm gonna take everything you have, even your kids, and make you walk back to Russia where you come from.' Those were her exact words. She wants me to lose my job. She wants me to lose everything, because she's just very jealous and she cannot stand the fact that I finally found the inner strength to say, 'Enough.'" The professional dancer concluded by saying the breakup has been "very difficult" for him. In response to Gleb's "ET" interview, Elena released this statement via a rep: "It's no secret that Gleb has had affairs with former dance partners — and who knows who else. Playing the victim is gross negligence on his part and he should perhaps watch what he says before Elena decides to meet him at his level and release everyone's names." Gleb's rep then released this response to Elena's statement: "[Gleb] won't be intimidated by Elena's threats and is disappointed by the betrayal of Vlad, a friend and employee." Yikes!
In other cheating news… On Dec. 24, Iggy Azalea accused her ex-boyfriend, Playboi Carti, of cheating on her throughout her pregnancy with their son, Onyx, who arrived in the first half of 2020. While criticizing Carti for missing their son's first Christmas due to work commitments for his new album, which dropped on Dec. 25, Iggy tweeted, "Imagine not flying out your family on Christmas but you have the girl you cheated on my entire pregnancy at your album party and magically me and my son can't come for Christmas anymore? TRASH." She then pointed out that the other woman posted about being "proud" of Carti on her Instagram Story and alleged that he canceled a "whole family vacation" he'd planned for her and Onyx just two days earlier. "This man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me," Iggy continued. "I hope this message gets to you girl. Although you hid in a whole closet from my housekeeper so it's not like you have any dignity I guess." Three days later, Iggy returned to Twitter to make it clear she's done with Carti: "We are giving him a chance to do right by his son," she wrote. "Not a chance to do right by me, ain't no take backs on that! We done. Forever. Ever. Everrrr. Never everrr. Again. No. Nope." The following day, the "Fancy" rapper wrote that she reached out to Carti's sidechick "to talk so she could be fully aware of the situation" — even though she believes the other girl was already aware of the fact that Carti "was in a relationship." Iggy then accused Carti of cheating with multiple women. "She's still as I type not even the only other woman currently involved with him. … Me being done with him doesn't mean the other girls are too," she tweeted. On her Instagram Story, meanwhile, Iggy accused Carti of refusing to let her go: "Every time I've said, 'I'm happy and I want to move on,' this man has chased me and promised that he just needs to finish his album. I'd been looking at new homes for us to move into once OUR lease ends in Jan. for months. And as far as I knew, things had been getting better with us," she wrote on Dec. 26. "Having a baby — even one you both want — can be a big change, so I had been doing what I felt was best for my family which was work on it." She alleged that after they split in July, he "got on a private plane" and "came here begging for another chance." Continued Iggy, "Every time I've said I'm happy to send a nanny with Onyx to [visit him in] Atlanta, this man would say, 'I only want to see him if you are there too, I want to see my FAMILY.' … Every time I'd be out there, he's [sleeping with] me and spending the night!!!"
On Dec. 31, Peter Weber announced on Instagram that his relationship with Kelley Flanagan had come to an end … again. "Love is a funny thing. It can make you feel on top of the world and it can make you feel a pain you wish didn't exist. I'm here to share that Kelley and I have decided to go our separate ways. While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn't work out in the end. Kelley is someone I will always have a special love for. Someone I have learned more from than she will ever understand. Someone I am so thankful came into my life and someone who I will always wish all of life's greatest blessings on. These moments in life always hurt, but in my opinion that shows you it was worth the time you spent together. Thank you Kelley," he captioned a photo of himself and the pretty lawyer taking in a sunset. Three days later, Kelley addressed the breakup on her own Instagram feed, captioning a photo with the former "The Bachelor" star, "I know a lot of you have already heard the news, but I wanted to take some time to process it for myself before sharing… It saddens me to say this but Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways. Peter and I had some unbelievable times together and they will definitely be missed. Unfortunately him and I are in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently. I wish Peter the absolute best and want to thank everyone for your continued support as I move on to my next chapter. I'm still hoping to make it to New York one of these days, but for now I just want to focus on my happiness!" (In November, Kelley denied rumors that she and Peter had gotten engaged and said that they were still planning to move to New York City in 2021.) In the wake of the breakup, there were whispers that the pilot cheated with an unnamed Instagram influencer. According to an Us Weekly source, however, Peter "would never cheat" on Kelley. "They were together all the time, so there was no way either one could've cheated. Their personalities just didn't mix — that was a big factor for the breakup. They also fought and had many disagreements and didn't see eye to eye at times," said the source. "It was a tough break up. Both sides are really affected, which is why Kelley took some time to put out [her] statement. They're both sad and trying to heal." The insider added that Peter is "the one who ended it" but Kelley that wasn't "blindsided" by his decision. "She could see it coming. He really cared for her and he really loved her," said the source.
On Jan. 4, "Entertainment Tonight" painted a slightly different picture of Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan's breakup… "The move [to New York City] was the final straw in some ongoing issues in their relationship; the biggest of which was that they were not on the same page about how they approached relationships," said a source. "There was growth that needed to happen from Peter that wasn't happening." The "ET" insider also denied rumors that cheating played a role in the breakup but said that Peter's relationship with his mother, Barb, was a "major issue" in his relationship with Kelley. "Barb was very involved and expected to be a major priority within Peter and Kelley's relationship," said the source. Peter fired back at that claim in an exclusive statement to "ET," saying, "Kelley and I broke up two weeks ago. I flew to Chicago and was finished with the relationship, then my mom really encouraged us to be in the relationship if we wanted to be and to not give up. Kelley and I operate on two different frequencies, and one isn't better or worse than the other; we're just two different people, and those differences surfaced after eight months of dating. But I loved her like crazy, and my mom really cared about her."
On Dec. 30, Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey were snapped deplaning from the same aircraft in Salt Lake City, Utah, lending credence to recent rumors they're a couple. (See photos here.) It's the second time they've been seen together over the holidays: The day before Thanksgiving, they were photographed deplaning from the same aircraft in Atlanta, where she lives, in matching sweatsuits. (See those photos here.) While Michael has kept his relationship status mostly under wraps in recent years, Lori split from her long-term boyfriend, rapper Future, in the summer of 2020.

On Dec. 29, Tyrese Gibson and Samantha Lee Gibson announced with matching posts on Instagram that they're divorcing after nearly four years of marriage. "We have decided to make a statement of a painful and significant development in our lives. After much thought, consideration, and prayer, we unfortunately have made the difficult decision to officially separate & divorce. Our intention is to remain the best of friends & strong co-parents. We feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and deeply grateful for the 4 years we have been married to each other. Our journey together has been a ride of both ups & downs, but it's a journey that neither of us would have chosen to take with anyone else. We truly have so much love & respect for each other. We both have grown tremendously within this relationship; we have shared so many beautiful memories and moments, and we also look forward to see the amazing futures we have ahead of us individually," they each wrote. On Jan. 5, TMZ reported that Samantha actually filed for divorce back in September. In legal documents obtained by the webloid, Tyrese claims that the marriage came to an end in August when he returned home from a movie set and became involved in a verbal altercation with Samantha during which she threatened to call the cops.
Abigail Spencer and Josh Radnor sparked romance rumors when they stepped out together in Montecito, California, on Jan. 3. Life is too short, and I didn't want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife. Two days later, he returned to Instagram to shed some light on how they met and fell in love following their first date in London: At the end of his comedy tour in late 2019 and early 2020, Jonathan invited Mark to vacation in Amsterdam with him, his mother and his aunt. "I wanted [him] to come with, but was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple weeks' worth of dates to meet my mom & and friends on a mini break? Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I'm quite sure he felt the same," he captioned a slideshow featuring some of his "favorite moments" with his hubby. Mark, meanwhile, captioned his own slideshow of photos recapping 2020, "[I] got married to my soulmate and one true love."

On Jan. 1, Page Six reported that Naturi Naughton's secret boyfriend of two years quietly popped the question on Dec. 23 with a 2.5-carat Neil Lane sparkler. The "Power" actress told the New York Post's gossip column that she and her mystery man — who "will be revealed at the wedding" — hope to tie the knot "somewhere in a remote location" in 2022, once the coronavirus pandemic is a thing of the past. "I'm not keeping my fiancé hidden. I'm protecting him, our union, our relationship. We don't need other people meddling or using their judgment," she said of her beau, teasing that he's a "Southern gentleman" who works in the music industry whom she met through "Power" co-star Omari Hardwick. "Being an actress can be intimidating to men, but he's not intimidated by who I am and what I do. I've been in a relationship before where I felt like I had to dim my light and I refuse to do that ever again," she said. "I have a daughter [3-year-old Zuri] from a previous relationship, but I'm thankful that I never got married or engaged because it's the right time and I'm ready now. Life is starting to make sense for me." She also said that when she does eventually wed, fans "will hear about it later." In early 2019, there were reports that Naturi was dating her former "Power" on-screen lover Sinqua Walls. Sinqua doesn't work in the music business, but he does portray Soul Train creator Don Cornelius on BET's "American Soul."

"They have kept in touch and made plans to see each other these last couple of months," said a source of Tyler and Camila. "They are both into each other but it's a stretch to say she's his girlfriend. … Tyler likes Camila's personality and thinks she's a really fun girl to hang out with."

We ask that you please respect our privacy during this time," the Olympic skier captioned a selfie with the Canadian professional hockey player, who proposed in August 2019. P. K., meanwhile, captioned the same shot on his own Instagram feed, "Lindsey is one of the most kind and caring people I know. I will always treasure our time as a couple together and the many laughs we shared. After much consideration, we have decided to move forward separately. On Dec. 24, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Larsa Pippen "is already head over heels" for her new beau, Malik Beasley. "She's in all the way and sees a future with him," said the source. "[Her] friends are telling her to take it slow and really get to know him before she jumps into this serious relationship, but it's too late." Three days later, Larsa took to Twitter to address rumors she broke up the basketball player's marriage to Montana Yao: "Malik and his ex were separated before I ever met him. That's a fact," she tweeted. (Montana caught wind of the tweet and fired back, "This is 100% false. Continue to speak on my name and my relationship and we're going to have issues. Receipts don't lie. Let's not go there. I think you've embarrassed yourself enough already.") In an earlier tweet, Larsa clarified the status of her relationship with her estranged husband, Scottie Pippen, writing, "I've been separated going thru a divorce for over 2 years and I've been linked to a few guys my entire life so don't sit here and paint a picture of me that isn't true."
During an interview with Us Weekly that debuted online on Jan. 1, Meghan King said that she's dating again following her late-2020 split from Christian Schauf. The former star of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" — who recently moved from Los Angeles to St. Louis — called dating in the Midwest "a little bleaker." Said the mother of three, "The men overall are not quite as interesting, in my opinion, but there's definitely upsides. They are more, I would say, true to themselves, more family-oriented. There's definitely pros and cons, which is all the reasons I love St. Louis and all the reasons I hate St. Louis — and vice-versa with L.A. I need to find that guy who's the perfect mix of the St. Louis values with the L.A. attitude." Meghan noted she's looking for love on dating apps and with the help of friends who've set her up on dates. She later told Us Weekly there's one thing she's most looking forward to in 2021: "Getting divorced would be great," she said. "That's such a morbid thing to think about [and] to look forward to, but it's funny how things change." (Meghan's divorce from her estranged husband, Jim Edmonds, has been extremely contentious.) Added the single mom, "I'm lonely. I want somebody to share this life that I've built with me."
On Dec. 28, People magazine shed some light on Ariana Grande's whirlwind romance with her new fiancé, Dalton Gomez: The duo reportedly started dating in January and grew close while spending time together in New York City in March. When the high-end real estate agent returned to Los Angeles for work, the singer-actress followed. "She realized he is very special," said a source. "It was getting tricky for them to see each other, so she decided to take her chance. She purchased a house in the Hollywood Hills in June and never looked back. They are incredibly happy." Continued the insider, "Dalton is a great guy. He is very focused on work and low-key. He likes keeping his relationship with Ari private. They have been able to get to know each other in peace. … Ari's family is very happy. Everyone loves Dalton. He is great for Ari. This phase of her life has been very quiet and uneventful in a good way. They are very happy that she is marrying Dalton."

They have a lot of love and respect for each other and it shows." The insider added that the pair "aren't quite moving in together" but are "absolutely blending their two lives together."
During an interview with People magazine that debuted online on Dec. 29, Ant Anstead insisted he wasn't the driving force behind the implosion of his marriage to Christina Anstead. "I think everybody knows this was not my decision," he said. "It really hit me hard. … If you ask anybody that knows me properly, they know that I give myself fully. I had so much love for her." He went on to say that he was in a "very dark place" immediately following the split but has since made the choice to "move on and work on myself."
On the Jan. 5 episode of "The Tonight Show," Gwen Stefani admitted she wasn't exactly thrilled her now-fiancé, Blake Shelton, waited so long to propose. After describing the proposal as "pretty magical," she revealed, "I was sort of like, 'What's happening with us?' It was kind of in my mind like, 'We've been together a long time now. What's going on?' I was in that place in my head." She added of getting engaged during a pandemic, "We have no [wedding] plans because of the pandemic. It's like, Blake, why couldn't you have done it before? Now we can't have a wedding with the pandemic. It's like you're sitting around going, 'OK, drag it out more!'"
Still going strong! During an interview with People magazine that debuted online on Dec. 27, Tiffany Haddish gushed about her boyfriend, Common: "What I love about him is I can be silly. We laugh together, and we can have really deep conversations," she said. "And we do argue, but it's not like mean words being tossed at each other or trying to tear each other's character down. It's more like grown-ups. And I don't think I've ever been in a relationship where, if I have an argument with somebody, they are not calling me out on my name or trying to belittle me. … This is my first time being in a relationship with somebody who's not trying to make me turn my light out. They're trying to get me to make my light shine even bigger and motivate me. That is very different for me: supportive, encouraging. It's refreshing." The comedian went on to say that although her beau is "still not the whole entire package" — because she doesn't "think anybody is the whole package" — she's discovered that "he's a majority of the change that I need."
During a Jan. 2 Q&A with fans on Instagram, Braunwyn Windham-Burke said that she and her family are "finding a new normal" amid her late-2020 revelation that she's a lesbian and has a girlfriend. She went on to say that she has "no idea" if she and her husband of more than two decades, Sean Burke, will stay married, though they'd "like to and are trying to make that work in therapy." When a fan asked if they have an open marriage, the mother of seven replied, "Call it whatever you want. We're family and best friends." She added that Sean is allowed to date, though she'd be "heartbroken" if he fell in love with someone else — which she noted "is actually the biggest thing we're working on in therapy" because she's "kind of a jealous person." Said the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star, "This is a lot. We're a little bit crazy, but this is hard and we're working it out. … We've been together since we were teenagers. I don't know what life without him is like, and that scares me." Sean, who was sitting beside Braunwyn during the Q&A, chimed in to say that "it kinda sucks" watching his wife move on with her new girlfriend, Kris, whom she sees "about twice and week." (Braunwyn also revealed that Kris is 28 and that they met on Tinder after her friend made a profile on the dating app for her.) Sean added that he'll "probably" start dating again eventually but isn't sure when. Said Braunwyn on the subject, "I think we can make our own rules and make our new normal and families that work for us. That's what we're doing, and it works." As for how she finally came to the realization about her sexuality after getting sober, the reality star — who's been open about having threesomes with other women in the past — explained, "I had my first sober experience with someone I care about (alone) and I came home and told Sean…ya, I'm not straight. It was like, 'So this is what it's supposed to be like.'"
On the Dec. 31 episode of the "Reality Steve Podcast," Evan Bass's first wife, Marie Bass, alleged that his second wife, Carly Waddell, "left him" in February 2019 — early in her pregnancy with their second child, son Charlie. "Evan was really sad when she left and really didn't want the relationship to end," she claimed. "As far as I know, he adored her. He told me when he got back from ['Bachelor in Paradise'] that she was one of the coolest people he's ever met in his life. He pretty much worshipped the ground she walked on, and I think that he really tried to save [the relationship]. It seemed that way. … It just seemed like he was really heartbroken and really, really, really didn't want it to end." But in a Jan. 3 YouTube video, Carly hit back at Marie's claims. While giving a tour of her new home in Tennessee, the mother of two settled into a room she dubbed "the divorce room" because it's where Evan told her "he wanted a divorce." Said Carly, "We separated the day after Thanksgiving. We've been going to therapy for, like, years. … We tried, y'all, for a really long time to make it work." She then detailed what went wrong: "We focused a lot more on the kids than we focused on ourselves, and ultimately, I think that was probably our biggest downfall was that the kids kinda came at the top of the pyramid and we never put ourselves at the top. And if you don't have a foundation for yourself, then you crumble," she explained. "So the last two years have just been really hard, and we've been trying to figure it out and trying and trying and trying. I always told him that if he wanted out, then it was his call because I just am not a person that would [ever] be out. So what are you gonna do? If somebody doesn't wanna be with you, they don't wanna be with you." She also noted that she and Evan were still looking for a family home together up until October 2020. "I found this house and Evan told me to buy this house, and then he told me he didn't want to live in it. So here we are," she said.
On Dec. 29, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Erika Jayne has been "very up and down" amid her split from Tom Girardi after more than two decades of marriage. "She's still in disbelief that Tom would cheat. She's also in disbelief with all these lawsuits that are coming that no one was aware of," said the source. "The legal issues are unfolding one after another and she's learning as everyone's filing. As the whole world is finding out about it, she's finding out about it. She's reading about it in the press before she even sees it [from her lawyers]." In mid-December, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star publicly accused her estranged husband of having an affair with a California judge.

The duo are planning to tie the knot in late 2021, they said. "I couldn't be happier," gushed Jordan. "It was truly a magical moment, having her family there and everything, it was perfect."
On Jan. 2, "Floribama Shore" star Nilsa Prowant announced on Instagram that she and Gus Gazda are engaged. "The love of my life asked me to spend forever with him tonight on my 27th birthday. Today has been more than I could have ever imagined. I can't believe I get to marry my best friend and bring our son Gray into this world soon. Gus, you've picked up the broken pieces of my heart and put them back together one by one. You never cease to amaze me. I can always count on you! You are kind, caring, strong, and you love me so good. I know with you by my side I can get through anything. I would say yes over and over and over again. Every single time. Now… Let's plan a wedding." In December, Nilsa announced that she and Gus are expecting their first child together. She later revealed that they're having a boy they plan to name Gray.

Meanwhile, on the Jan. 4 episode of her eponymous talk show, Drew opened up about looking for love on a celebrity dating app: "I booked a date with one guy, like, finally, and then he stood me up at the exact time we were supposed to meet," she revealed, adding that she "felt so stupid" for putting in effort to meet the man, whom she described as a comedy writer. "There are big, high-powered men [using the app], and of course, I didn't go for any of those. I never have! I was like, 'Oh, the comedy writer, that sounds fun!'"
Things between Lamar Odom and off-and-on love Sabrina Parr turned nasty in late 2020. In the caption of a Dec. 30 Instagram video, the basketball star accused the life coach — who alluded to another breakup earlier in the month — of holding hostage his social media accounts. He also referred to her as his "ex." After Sabrina denied his accusations, he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, "Sabrina, stop. You have hacked my social media every few months." He added in the caption, "No love lost BabyDoll but it's over. All I ask is that you release my Passport and my Passwords. That's it. You've wronged me in so many ways and I was willing to walk away quietly but I see you want a show. I gave you a global platform. Use it for your good or it will destroy you. All the best." Sabrina, meanwhile, called Lamar's allegations "extremely disappointing" in a post on her Instagram Story. "We are no longer together and haven't been for a while. [I chose] to move [on] in silence about the situation & I suggest you do the same. We both know the truth and I can assure you no truth is being told on their end," she wrote. She also claimed that Lamar's social media issues boil down to his inability to reset his passwords on his own.
On Dec. 28, Us Weekly reported that "90 Day Fiancé" star Ashley Martson officially filed to divorce Jay Smith for the third time in late 2020. "[She's] focused on her [two] kids and is trying to heal from the messy divorce," said a source. The reality star later confirmed that she filed to legally end the marriage "months ago." She added that the divorce "should be finalized in February" — as long as Jay signs off on necessary legal documents. The mother of two, who said in September that they'd "made the decision to separate for good," went on to explain that there was a delay because she "had a hard time getting [Jay] served." Concluded Ashley, "I just want a divorce and him out of my life forever. Biggest mistake of my life that I'll regret forever." The pretty blonde first filed to end their marriage in January 2019, but just two weeks later, she asked to have her petition for divorce dismissed. She filed for divorce a second time that April, but by early 2020, she and Jay had reconciled yet again.
