Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-October 2020, starting with this shocking news… In mid-October, Deux Moi — an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip — shared several anonymous tips alleging that Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers are an item. According to one tipster, they've been together since before the Packers quarterback and former love Danica Patrick announced in mid-July that they were no longer a couple. On July 15, sports blogger Terez Owens reported that, according to a source, the racecar driver actually introduced the actress and the professional football player. "Danica had no idea when she introduced [them] that Shailene would make a play for him," said the tipster, adding that "Danica is devastated by Aaron's betrayal." On the Oct. 19 episode of "The Breakfast Club," Taraji P. Henson confirmed recent speculation that she and her fiancé, Kelvin Hayden, called it quits earlier this year. "It didn't work out," she said, adding that they "tried" to fix their issues and even sought therapy before coming to the conclusion that ultimately, they were "not on the same page." Explained the "Empire" star, "My happiness is not his responsibility, and his happiness is not mine. We have to first learn how to make ourselves happy to make each other happy. And so when one person is taking on the weight of the entire relationship, it's never gonna work. You have to show up. And, yes, you want to be understanding, but you can't lose yourself in that understanding. You have to still stand up for yourself and be there for yourself. But it's hard to do if the other person isn't doing that part either." The actress and the former professional football player were set to wed in early 2020 but pushed their nuptials several times amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On Oct. 21, E! News reported that, according to a source, Robert Pattinson and his girlfriend of two years, Suki Waterhouse, "have definitely discussed getting engaged but are in no rush" to wed. "Suki is not pressuring him and they are both very committed to each other," said the source, adding that the pair are "still dating and going strong." Continued the insider, "They are a really good match. They have both been spending time in the U.K. together during this last year and their relationship is stronger than ever. … They love being low-key together and have very similar interests. They are truly inseparable and in love." The "Twilight" alum's family reportedly "adores" the English model-actress and "thinks they are a great match, better than any of his previous relationships."

It's over for Lake Bell and Scott Campbell. The actress and the artist, who share two children, announced their split in coordinated Instagram posts on Oct. 22. "After 9 years together, 7 years married, 2 sparkling children… Scott and I are ending our marriage but continuing our loving family. With respect and thoughtful guidance, we will continue to be parental comrades in arms and best friends for all of our days." Scott added, in part, in a post of his own, "Now we find ourselves ending our marriage and transitioning the love and friendship we've always had into a new chapter. All the feelings are felt. And I have invincible confidence in us as parental warriors and as best friends for all our days."
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 15 that, according to a source, although it appears as though they've reconciled, Cardi B "is still going through with [her] divorce" from Offset. "[They] are still technically separated, but they still hook up occasionally and are trying to co-parent [their daughter Kulture] as best as they can," said the source, adding that the duo "will always be in each other's lives and have love for one another."
It appears as though Chris Rock and Carmen Ejogo are officially an item! Less than a month after they first got tongues wagging with their cozy-looking late-September dinner date in New York City's West Village (see photos here), they stepped out together again — this time in Malibu. On Oct. 17, the bicoastal duo were seen riding together in the actor's Ferrari before grabbing lunch in matching ensembles: white T-shirts and Army-inspired cargo pants. (See a photo here.) On Oct. 15, Scott Disick and model Megan Blake Irwin were photographed leaving the Kimpton La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood together. (See photos here). The duo were first linked in 2016 — before he found love with Sofia Richie and she romanced Skeet Ulrich. Earlier this month, the father of three was seen with a different model: Bella Banos. (Scott's first date prompted Sofia to finally unfollow him on Instagram.)
Two nights after Scott Disick stepped out with Megan Blake Irwin, Sofia Richie was snapped leaving Nobu in Malibu with Hard Rock Café scion Matthew Morton. (See a photo here.) Ironically, Matthew was linked to Megan back in 2016.
Is Kelly Osbourne dating TikTok star Griffin Johnson? The 35-year-old reality star and the 21-year-old influencer, who previously romanced Dixie D'Amelio, were seen out together in the Los Angeles area twice in one week: first on Oct. 14 and then on Oct. 17. Back in August — around the time Griffin and Dixie split — Kelly revealed that she was "dating someone," though she noted that the individual had been in her life "for like 20 years." It's unclear whether or not she knew the TikToker, who was born in Illinois, when he was still in diapers.
On Oct. 18, Ant Anstead revealed on his Instagram Story that he's midway through a five-week "breakup recovery" program to help him move on following his recent split from "Flip or Flop" star Christina Anstead after less than two years of marriage. "I am now on day 30 of this and I have to say it's been a lifeline for me!" he wrote. (In late September, the "Wheeler Dealers" host implied on Instagram that it was Christina's decision to end the marriage.)
Although she's reportedly dating comedian Jeff Dye, Kristin Cavallari said on the Oct. 19 episode of the "On The List with Brett Gursky" podcast that she's "not ready to jump into a relationship" following her early 2020 split from Jay Cutler. "Here's what I'm doing right now. I'm going through a divorce, obviously. I'm putting myself first. I mean, my kids will always be first, but beyond my kids, I'm making myself a priority right now," said the mother of three, according to Page Six. "I don't want anything. … I'm taking care of me and I'm figuring out ultimately what I'm going to want in life, and I'm going through the motions and the process of figuring that all out." Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported on Oct. 15 that, according to a source, Jay "is not happy" to see Kristin "moving on" from their relationship. "The last two to three years, she was over the relationship and wanted to separate," said the source. "[She] tried her best to keep the marriage together for their kids, and unfortunately, it just didn't work."
During an interview with The Daily Telegraph that debuted online on Oct. 20, "House" and "Chicago Fire" star Jesse Spencer revealed that he married his longtime love, research scientist Kali Woodruff, in her hometown of Neptune Beach, Florida, on June 27. "What a silver lining to 2020. She's smart, pretty and way ahead of her years," he gushed, according to Daily Mail Australia. "We're very happy. She is my port in every storm, and we're already excited to be moving on to the next phase of our lives." They've reportedly been an item since 2014.
On Oct. 17, TMZ broke the news that "Inside Edition" anchor Diane McInerney dumped Don Felder back in August when their long-distance relationship became too difficult to maintain amid the coronavirus pandemic. (She lives in New York City, while he calls California home.) According to the webloid, the breakup is amicable. The former Eagles guitarist proposed in January after two years of dating.
On Oct. 21, Page Six reported that Vogue editor Anna Wintour and telecom millionaire Shelby Bryan — who married in 2004 and whose relationship has been "cooling" since 2013 — have now split for good after more than 20 years together.
Bachelor Nation's Courtney Robertson — who got engaged to Ben Flajnik on the finale of season 16 of "The Bachelor" in 2012 — married attorney Humberto Preciado in Sedona, Arizona, on Oct. 16. According to People magazine, only immediate family members attended the outdoor nuptials. The duo got engaged in late 2019 and welcome their son, Joaquin, in June.
In other Bachelor Nation wedding news… In an Oct. 19 blog post, former "The Bachelor" star Caila Quinn — who competed for Ben Higgins' heart on season 20 of "The Bachelor" in 2016 — announced that she and her fiancé, Nick Burrello, have officially canceled their wedding plans amid the coronavirus pandemic. The duo originally planned to tie the knot twice: first in Italy in May 2021 and then in the Midwest (for family members unable to travel abroad). "We held onto hope as long as we could, but with travel to Europe still prohibited 6 months out — we had to make the tough decision to cancel. After weeks of sleepless nights and going back & forth we finally know this is the right thing to do. And we need to do the right thing," the bride-to-be wrote, adding that she and Nick "grew stronger together" and stayed "united as a team" as they made the difficult decision to delay their nuptials.
During an interview with "Extra" that hit the Internet on Oct. 21, Rosie O'Donnell said that she's currently "single" and "not dating" amid the coronavirus pandemic. "I'm in the pandemic hold… Yes, I'm just like, 'Hold for the pandemic,'" she joked. It was the first official confirmation that her relationship with police officer Elizabeth Rooney has come to an end. (In late 2019, Rosie said that she and her fiancée of about a year were "still figuring things out" amid reports they'd quietly called it quits.) The comedian also opened up about her recent revelation that she had a two-year relationship with a man while she was shooting 1992's "A League of Their Own." Said the Emmy winner, who noted that she was in her late 20s at the time, "He was Irish Catholic, great guy, tall, from a big Irish Catholic family, and we really got along really well, but innately I'm a gay person and I knew that. I had been with women before him, but never a man."
TMZ reported on Oct. 18 that Rob Riggle's wife of 21 years, Tiffany, recently filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listing their date of separation as May 2, 2020. According to the webloid, she's asking for spousal support and for joint custody of their two kids.
During an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that popped up online on Oct. 15, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Braunwyn Windham-Burke revealed that she and husband Sean Burke are not currently living together. "He's not living here right now," she said while giving "ET" host Lauren Zima a tour of her new home. "Love him dearly. We haven't gotten along this well in a long time. We're redefining what marriage means to us. We're not following the old, antiquated rules anymore. … It's so good." The Bravo star — who prompted questions about the state of her marriage in late September — added that "there's no other men" in her life right now. But when Lauren asked if there are any other women in her life, Braunwyn smiled and deflected by gesturing to the hostess. Just a few days later, however, she confirmed during an interview with Us Weekly that there is, in fact, "someone in my life right now that makes me happy and I smile just thinking about." (She stopped short of identifying her new companion.) "I kinda want to protect [the relationship] right now," said the mother of seven. "I'm not quite ready to put it all out there, [but] everyone in my life that knows me knows what's happening. I don't think I've smiled so much. It's good. I know if you look at social media, it seems really crazy, but things are really good in our house right now." She has no plans to end her marriage, she said. "I'm not going to worry about the future until it happens. I love Sean. Sean loves me. We have every intention of staying together," she explained, adding that they also have "every intention" of "growing old" together. "We are very honest in our communication. There are just some things that I have discovered about myself that I wanna explore a little more and he's very supportive," she continued. "I am living a very authentic life right now and I've never given myself permission to do that. … I'm 42 and there are just parts of me that … I pushed down and now I'm allowing myself to live authentically." As for her decision to live apart from her husband, "There's just a lot of stuff going on in our lives and it's better for us to not live in the same house right now," she said. "We're both working [on] ourselves, we're both in therapy. I want to be the best version of myself, so does he, we have been together 26 years. We're not throwing that away. You know, we are family. He's my best friend. … [Although we are] living in two homes, we want to stay married." She then cast some doubt on their current situation: "Is this forever? I doubt it. I mean, my gut says no, but I'm going to live today today. And I'll worry about tomorrow, tomorrow."
Later, Braunwyn Windham-Burke added to Us Weekly that she's also taking time away from her husband, Sean Burke, because their current dynamic isn't conducive to her sobriety journey: "He's known that I've had a problem [with alcohol], but part of the dynamic of our relationship is he's an enabler and we have a very codependent relationship," she said. "While I'm getting sober right now, he's also in his own community support meetings, working on his aspect of it because alcoholism is a family disease. It affects everyone. And, you know, especially with couples, there is a dynamic and we're working on that." Continued the reality star, "I have been either pregnant, nursing or drinking most of our relationship. And when I'm drinking, I'm very needy. I want him to come with me. I want him to pick me up. He would get me out of situations before I got ugly. So I needed him. And when I got sober, I didn't need him anymore. And he felt the distance and he felt left behind. … It's very hard on a marriage. There's just a lot of things that we've had to uncover [in] therapy with ourselves and each other." Concluded the mother of seven, "And one of the reasons I was able to stay drunk so long was because Sean, you know, Sean did take care of me."
On Oct. 18, Roxy Sowlaty and longtime love Nicolas Bijan took to Instagram to announce that they tied the knot at their home in Beverly Hills over the weekend. "Finally and officially Mrs. Bijan. love you forever @nicolasbijan," the "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" alum captioned a wedding photo. Her new husband, meanwhile, captioned a slideshow of photos from their scaled-down nuptials amid the coronavirus pandemic, "I am so proud of you @roxysowlaty for adapting and adjusting with the circumstances and It was exactly what was meant to be! It was a magical day and we felt so lucky to be surrounded by family and a few friends. I love you Rox!" The duo got engaged in late 2018.
Lesley Cook indicated on Instagram on Oct. 15 that she and "The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum David Beador — who was previously married to Shannon Beador — recently tied the knot. According to Page Six, she changed her name on her private account to Lesley Beador, updated her bio to describe herself as a "wife" and captioned a photo with the former reality star, "You are the most supportive, kind, adventurous, loving and patient man. Grateful to have found you. Proud to be your wife." The duo, who are currently expecting a baby girl, got engaged in late January.
On Oct. 14, "Southern Charm" alum Thomas Ravenel tweeted that he's "getting engaged to marry Heather Mascoe" — the ex-girlfriend with whom he welcomed a baby boy in June. "I'm a lucky man!" he added. It's unclear when the duo, who weren't a couple when their son was born, reconciled romantically — or when he plans to propose. "Did anyone know I'm getting married?" he also wrote in a since-deleted tweet. Thomas also has two kids with his ex-girlfriend and former "Southern Charm" co-star Kathryn Dennis.
"Teen Mom" star Cheyenne Floyd revealed on Instagram on Oct. 19 — her 28th birthday — that she and ex-boyfriend Zach Davis are an item again. "Blessed & Highly Favored. Can't believe I woke up to this thank you @z.terrel #28dozenroses," she captioned a slideshow of photos of herself and her back-on beau posing with her daughter, Ryder, and her birthday presents – including 28 dozen roses. Us Weekly reported on Oct. 17 that, according to a source, Brian Austin Green is "totally fine" with his estranged wife, Megan Fox, "getting more serious" with her new boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly. "He is doing his own thing and there's no animosity," said the source, noting that BAG and MGK previously met and "it's not a 'thing' between them." Continued the insider of the former teen heartthrob, "He is pleased that Megan is preoccupied and happy. He is socially dating and seeing different girls. He's not on that same page of being in a serious relationship right now, but he's totally cool with MGK, no question about it."
During an interview with "Extra" that debuted online on Oct. 15, Rose McGowan opened up about her boyfriend of six months, a man named Ivan she met when she moved to Mexico earlier this year. "He's just a beautiful human, a good man, and age-appropriate. He's 41, so handsome. He looks to me kind of like a Latin movie star from the '40s, but he's so humble, just an honorable human, really supportive of me. And one of the greatest things… he does not know a lot about my weird world," gushed the 47-year-old artist-activist, adding that they "live together" and that he's brought her "so much happiness."
Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams took to Instagram on Oct. 15 to celebrate their third anniversary. "A kiss, two VERY professional models, and an anniversary: A series," the "Modern Family" actress captioned a slideshow of photos of herself and the Bachelor Nation star posing by a swimming pool. "Three years ago I asked you when YOU were going to ask ME to be your girlfriend. Now we're engaged and in the midst of surviving a global pandemic. There's no one else I'd rather be quarantining with. Being with you literally 24/7 over the past several months has only made our relationship stronger and I'm so lucky to call you my fiancé. According to People magazine, "The Real Housewives of New York City" alum Jules Wainstein finalized her divorce from Michael Wainstein on Oct. 19 — four years after they first separated following eight years of marriage amid rumors he was unfaithful, which he denied. "Michael is ecstatic to have this long process finished. It took four years and he's looking forward to moving on," his attorney said in a statement.
